    I’m staying away from VFJ and FTGU they are the same I’m going with a cvtech just because of the drama with the other two.

    • @rebelsoffroad
      @rebelsoffroad  Год назад

      In my experience there was only drama from one of them. 🤷‍♂️ I am interested in comparing Cvtech though seams like a completely different product. They were A lot more expensive than FTGU when I was looking though. Be interested in hearing your results

    I just got vfj's flash tune on my stock '22. It totally rips much more aggressively from take off to mid range. No matter how far forward i hang off the front, the front end is instantly up and over. Its a weapon for sure. It actually wont wheelie on grass and dirt anymore (stock tires) as it just throws masssive roost while spinning. But I'm wondering about tho is the max rpm seems significantly higher like maybe around 9500 which u would think wpuld give me more speed but i actually lost 1mph from 69 to 68. It feels like its reving past its peak power range of the stock cam and looses some pull after the midrange. Can i do the same thing we used to do with sleds and put heavier weight in the stock clutch to bring rpms back down into optimal range for even harder acceleration in the mid to top end?

    Everything you've said is why Is why I'm going every other route than through him on my BF

    • @rebelsoffroad
      @rebelsoffroad  3 года назад +5

      It’s pretty simple honestly… if his clutches are half as good as he claims he wouldn’t have to lie and block people when they look into other options 🤷‍♂️ I’m still waiting for someone to take me up on a head to head comparison.

    Hey just found your channel, went ahead and subbed because who doesn't like some John Belushi. Yeah I'm that old..65
    .. anyway recently bought a '17 BF with 800 miles on it. It has been snorkeled and rad relocate but only has 26" tires on it and does not appear to have been mudded too hard.Its pretty beastly compared to my last 800 sportsman but has that take off hesitation waiting on the belt to spool up so I'm thinking stock clutch and have yet to find a fuelmapping tuner although I've not torn it down yet. If not I'll probably do an EHS tuner and Barker exhaust. Don't think I'll go bigger than 28" tires though. It does have a 2" lift and 1 1/2" spacers and stock shocks. That being said, how far would you go with clutching? Picked this up for $5,300... Also has new Atlas 6 ply tires.

      Thank you for subscribing and Congrats on the new machine! With 26s it shouldn’t have any noticeable hesitation at all. I would suggest pulling the clutch cover and inspecting/blowing out the clutch. Look for belt wear and sheave grooving and go from there. There are a couple people doing tuning flashes. VFJ, FTGU, and DJ customs off the top of my head. I have the FTGU tuning and it’s awesome throttle seams even snappier and it runs cooler

    hey good video ,how does one get ahold of this guy is it a kit that you can buy as a whole or do you send in your clutches and have them done up.what size rubber are you running,i see you have taken out the kebs ,is that a good idea,... i am looking at the 2022 brute ,i have had polaris and ac so know a bit about what i want in a quad,for one thing is the weight,coming from my 2018 850 hl with me on it was 1200 lbs great bike but dam was a hand full to ride, ahd the 2014 ac mp 700 and found that to ok but it is a single cylinder that i found to work way to hard. i find buying a 650 or 850 cam am a waste of money when i can buy the kawasaki and do it up the way i want and still have 3000 bucks in my pocket.any ways keep up the great vids and ride safe

      Thanks! I messaged him on FB. He can either do a new clutch or a used one or you can send him yours. I’m running 30” cryptids I really haven’t noticed much of a difference without the kebs but it makes the clutch last longer supposedly because engine breaking uses the clutch. I 100% agree with you there I’ve got about 13k total in my bike if that including the price of the bike and it’s way more capable than any 14k plus stock outlander

    hi there again, hey when you remove the kebs do you still have to reset the clutch after putting on a belt or cleaning out the clutches..what size tires are you running. have a great day

      You mean like the CVT warning light? the CVT light will still work meaning you’ll have to reset it when you change your belt or disconnect the belt box. I’m running 30” ITP cryptids. Have a great day bud

    • @rebelsoffroad
      @rebelsoffroad  3 года назад +3

      Depends a lot on what type of riding you do and what you want out of it. Want power? id recommend can am outlander 650 or 850. Want reliability I’d go with a Honda Formeman foot shift. I personally have had good luck with the brute force 750 I think it’s a good middle ground between Honda reliability and can am power. With proper maintenance anything will last. Only brand I would not get for a four wheeler is Polaris

    • @rebelsoffroad
      @rebelsoffroad  2 года назад +3

      Depends on the condition of your clutch and what you get done. Mine was a little over 600$ when all said and done but I needed a new secondary, all new wear parts on the primary, new shims, Stage 3 on both primary and secondary and the billet faceplate
