- I applied for 2 credit cards in 1 day, one from Chase and the other from American Express. Was I approved for both, or denied because credit card companies don't allow this? We'll find out in today's video and I'll give you some tips if you want to try out this strategy with your applications.

I applied for 6 credit card in one day and got all 6 approved, 11 in a week time , got 8 approved. Then I stopped . I started my application spree on 27th July . Credit score 753 . I am in USA since 2021 and thus have small credit history

Nice one Jacob, I agree that it's ok to apply for 2 cards in 1 day if you meet the conditions that you mentioned in the video, and especially if they're from 2 different issuers.
Thanks! If I needed to hit two minimum spends it would've been a harder decision, but it was nice I only had to spend $4,000 total in 3 months

Very nice video I’m actually wanting to get the chase sapphire reserve and chase freedom unlimited on the same day, currently at 2/24 for chase. I do want to say I already had an Amex gold card and added an Amex blue cash preferred and still received the hard inquiry. So that Amex no hard inquiry is not a sure thing.
Thanks for sharing that about Amex! I don’t see that a whole lot but that’s good to know. I think it’s possible to get the Sapphire Reserve and Freedom Unlimited on the same day if you want but it might not be necessary for your situation unless you want both of them soon

That's awesome to get two premium travel credit cards on the same day. It was probably helpful that you had 6 months to hit the minimum spend on the Platinum card

Yep! My wife got the business card and I have both the personal and the business card

Yeah that offer just popped up for the personal IHG card. This was the business card, which unfortunately didn't have an elevated offer but I was still happy to get it
to get the prime business card, do you have to have some special prime business account? and do you have to have a separate prime subscription than your regular account?
You just need any Amazon Prime subscription to be eligible for the card and you could create a business account before applying but you don’t have to. I believe they’ll create a business account for you after card approval
hi Jacob, is it possible to get approved for C1 VX & 1 Chase personal on the same day? or the 3 hard pull on the VX makes it impossible? thanks
If you apply for both within a minute or two, the hard pulls might not show up for the other issuer. You can also freeze your Experian report when you apply for the Venture X to limit the hard pulls to 2. Just make sure it's unfrozen for the Chase card
Hey quick question - so I'm turning 18 on august 1st and I'm looking to apply for 2 cards (Discover It Student & Apple Card (to finance a MacBook)). I've read both of these are good first-cards individually, but would I be able to accept 2 cards with no credit history?
Both cards are pretty beginner friendly, so I think you may have a decent shot at it. If you try it out I'd apply as close together as you possibly can. Keep in mind that it's easy to get denied on your first ever application
Is the reason you went with the Amazon Amex card is to avoid 5/24?
Yes I've been applying for business cards over personal ones because I want to keep my 5/24 status as low as possible

Is there a way to check on the status of your Chase 5/24 other than personally keeping track of all of your cards? Thanks...
Just check your credit report, and count up the number of personal credit cards you have that were opened within the past 24 years
If you look at the personal cards you've been approved for in the last 24 months you can add them up to find your status. This can be by looking at the credit reports from the 3 different credit bureaus or I like to keep a detailed spreadsheet of every card I've been approved for and I list the card name, date opened, and if it adds to my Chase 5/24 count, among other things

Amazon prime offer is not $200 anymore. Has the deal been removed?
I am still seeing $200 Amazon but I have seen $300 prime upon approval in the past
This was a targeted offer I received directly on Amazon when I was viewing a product page. The standard public welcome offer for the AMEX Business Prime card is a $125 Amazon gift card. Setting up an Amazon business account might help you get targeted for the $200 offer

I didn’t plan it like this but it worked out perfectly
I did that strat back in april and got both ihg premier card and savor one card on the same day. I dont know if i would recommend that strat but it worked for me as well. Although i hadn't had a hard inquiry on my credit report before those two cards since jan 2023 for DP for you
