The extra cheese and breadcrumb topping give this succulent dish a golden crunchy texture.
This is not a "quick " dish but it is easy with step-by-step instructions and the result is worth the effort and time.
Greek Lamb Moussaka is very common in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine and it has many different variations.
Some variations use potatoes or courgettes instead/or with the aubergines.
This Greek casserole recipe has also potatoes and is topped with a cheesy béchamel sauce. It surely is the ultimate comfort food!

Wenn man die Kartoffeln anbrät, dann sind sie besonders lecker aber schwerer verdaulich...

you can air fry the potatoes with a little oil if you have digestion issues, it will still taste great!

Getting the potatoes golden is key to adding a savory base to this, bravo!
However I put the potatoes on the bottom, then aubergines ( eggplants) then the mincemeat mixture, bechamel, extra cheese and more breadcrumbs ( because not enough calories, eh?)
And let it sit for a touch longer, however You have earned the internet rando seal of approval! 🤣🤣🤣🏺🇬🇷🏛👌

It is always good to hear and learn from other people's experiences. Thank you for sharing yours.
Putting the potatoes on the bottom makes more sense as they would keep the whole dish together much better! 😋😋☺️
