Well done Elli, I've walked that trail on the outside of the barbed wire and know how tough it was, thought it was dangerous in places and was glad when I reached Helmsdale.
Liebe Elli! Ich bewundere deinen Mut 😊 mach weiter so und ich freue mich auf weitere Videos, vor allem aus der Hütte , wo du genächtigt hast . Viel Spaß und immer das passende Wetter auf eurer Tour.❤
Well done Elli a bit of a bog bash all day. It's like dancing from one side to the other and hopping and jumping just to keep your feet dry, which are already wet. Well, you made it to the pub and found a pitch. All the best. Mark
The sunshine looks lovely, but the cold wind and wet feet from all those boggy bits must make it a real test of endurance. But it will get warmer and drier, so you can look forward to that. Great photography and commentary, despite the conditions. You really brought the north coast of Scotland into my office today - thank you! Hope you are finding some warm and dry places (with coffee) to edit these videos, not much fun in a draughty tent with cold fingers...
Awww, thank you so much! Yes, so far, editing has been a bit challenging in the tent at night 😬🙈 just not a lot of options like shops or cafes on the way so far 😅🙈
@@ellihikes You'll find cafes - they will be like waiting for a bus; you wait for hours and then three come at once. Then you'll have to decide which one has the best coffee and that will mean testing all of them in the interests of research. Keep warm!
You and Otto are doing a fabulous job. Keep up the good walking. Documenting it like this is great for you and others so well done. I'm having problems remembering some of the journey and it's making me enthusiastic about getting my map out and following your journey. I can relate to those "s@#t!" moments stepping into a boggy muddy area 🤣and loved how Otto became airborne. Well done again. xx
I watched your first video of your 2022 walk of SWCP some time ago. I started watching your JoGLE from Minehead all the way to Lizard as the SWCP is my home patch and have been thinking this should be on my bucket list, so I am now going back to watch from the beginning. Seeing how you suffered wet feet from the outset, I wonder whether you took away any thoughts from this walk as to how you might try to keep your feet dry on future walks.
Aww, thank you so much! I'm happy that you're enjoying the videos :) yes, I struggled with wet feet in the beginning but I think it's hard to prevent because it was so boggy that my shoes sunk in.... even with boots I think the water would have gotten inside. I maybe could have worn my waterproof socks more often because they keep the feet warm at least. As for the shoes I deliberately chose non-waterproof trailrunners because at least they dry out really quickly if they get wet and most shoes eventually get wet. Hard to prevent imo.... but I definitely should have thought of wearing my waterproof socks more often in the beginning 😅🙈
Wow!
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it.
Your video is awesome and fantastic.
Have a happy day.👍
Thank you do much!!
Du machst das großartig, Elli!

Well done Elli and Otto. Looks like you have made a great start. It should get dryer and warmer as you come south. Keep going. 😊
