Sir you are absolute Gent. I know lots of what you did. Cod war, gulf, bosnia, and more persian gulf. We knew you were with us, deeps, protecting us. as a CT lots of our guys were pivotal to missions.. working with you guys.. you know where i'm coming from. I salute you sir as I saluted HMS Arrow vets when they retired and had some beers on my ship HMS Sheffield .. the third one. "Thank you for your service" is nowhere near good enough. But thank you Sir for being part of the Navy that I tried my hardest to be a great Technician in, is good enough for me.

What a disingenuous remark by M.Presley ! This gentleman served his country for 52 years , which included being part of an armed service that protects our country, its values, the people within it and the society to which we all belong ! Unless you've been part of our very professional armed services I think you're talking without any foundation whatsoever! I cannot believe that you even bothered to leave a comment if that's all you've got to offer! Pathetic ! You wouldn't even know what it was like to be a " Ganges Boy" and to have achieved that which Perry has ! Once a Ganges Boy always a Ganges Boy ! And we stick together ! As far as I'm concerned M Presley ,your comments are of no consequence and do not detract from Warrant Officer Perrys contribution and achievements to our society over a 52 year period ! Another Ganges Boy !

Some extensions in the RN give you extra years in your current rate (for example WO2) but inhibits you from further promotion. So Perry might have had 3 x 5 year extensions as a WO2 but without promotion.
