I'm... painting with wool?! It's actually called needle felting, but yes, we are essentially painting a picture with wool! I've been wanting to try this for MONTHS, and I'm so excited we can go on this adventure together! This is a form of art that is completely NEW to me, so the enthusiasm in this video is very high. Energy overload. Haha. :)

When you were letting us listen to you point the needle in the styrofoam sheet underneath the fabrics, it sounded AMAZING it was so satisfying,❤️
OMG! This is so cool! I LOVE textile art. I took a lot of costume design classes in college and a lot of that was learning to depart from a regular garment and get abstract and textural and sometimes even sculptural with fibers so I actually had to do lots of assignments that were not costume pieces, but straight up art pieces so I could experiment with that stuff and it was some of the most fun satisfying art I have ever made. I STILL incorporate a lot of textiles in my art now.

I bought that EXACT kit from Amazon. I enjoyed it so much but made stuff small animals so this was awesome. I want to pull mine back out now and do a painting. Thanks for such an awesome and inspiring video

My best friend gifted me this same kit and I’ve only made two small projects, but I have a Pinterest board dedicated to needle felting and love seeing painted with wool pictures, and now after watching this I feel encouraged that I can do it too! I’m making a felted gnome for my mother in law for Christmas because she collects gnomes, lol. You have to remember that those needles are barbed along their entire length so that they can pull the wool fibers up through each other and ‘knot’ them together in a way.....which is why they hurt a lot more than just a sewing needle when you stab yourself. Always keep your fingies far far away from the needles of doooooom! Picture turned out awesome and you’re awesome too!

Thank you for doing the voiceover. I know people like the ASMR stuff, but I'm one who's bothered by it, so I like that you gave both a bit of the sound at the beginning, and a voiceover at the end.
This came out really gorgeous. Needle felting is really easy, just time consuming. Good on you for tackling something new. You can also use brushed out acrylic yarn to needle felt with. I get a lot of it thanks to making doll hair.
