Thank you for this video of a real, raw look at breeding/whelping dogs! I’m very sorry for your losses. Have you tried giving Oral Cal Plus(calcium gel) during whelping? I’ve seen a lot of restless mothers do a complete shift when offered calcium after each puppy, they calm down, they care for the puppies, and they give birth much easier. I’ve seen some breeders refer to Oral Cal as “C-section in a tube” because it’s helped the birth process so well. Hope this could help you with future litters from your other moms!
I guess she knows when she needs to push something out, she needs to do that outside. Glad it wasn't a thunderstorm or snow or other appalling weather for it!
Note to self: learn how to use an ultrasound on animals. I know some of the bigger commercial livestock farmers have them for counting lambs, but being able to check how many pups are left in there and where they are, in a similar situation might save the drive and the vet fees.

I have no idea how much an ultrasound machine would cost.
