Premium OLED TV Black Friday prices are live! Why are premium Mini LED TVs more expensive? Make it make sense... Samsung S95D - amzn.to/3NEGwzn & LG G4 - amzn.to/3NIaEK0 at Amazon as an amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases
KG you do not have to explain yourself. The difference between a QD-OLED while not vast, it is striking. I could eyeball it just from the very beginning of this video in my VA panel. Nice video ! Your old videos helped me decide for a qdoled over a miniled and I thank you for that.
TCL and hHsense will give you significantly more in terms of contrast and blooming suppression than Samsung and Sony, especially for the price. Samsung pretty much gave up the innovation and competition with LCDs, they focus now on QD-OLED.
No mini Led TV is better than Sony Bravia 9! The amount of zones and mini led is unique! Now for the price TLC and Hisense high end MiniLed gets very close. But rights now no MiniLed can compete with Bravia 9.
Lol no they will not. Those TVs may have more dimming zones than Samsungs and Sonys, but that doesn’t mean anything if the local dimming algorithm can’t control them effectively. Especially during fast-moving content. Plus, those TV manufacturers know that the main advantage of mini-LED over OLED is brightness, so they design processors to almost always prioritize brightness at the expense of blooming control and raised blacks
Yeah but switch the Qn900d to SDR. The S95D has to remain in HDR since it’s going to look like your phone turned to 1/3 brightness. Now, how do they look? I don’t know but without comparing each in their native habitats, there’s no way to know.
@@RodMurray777 Full screen, the mini leds get much brighter. It's the HDR highlights that are brighter on the qdoled, because the mini leds have to tone it back a little, to stop blooming. Really, unless you are in a bright room, it's the highlights that are most important and impactful.
It's so funny how people fight over TVs. Imagine if people argued over refrigerators and dish washers, like that lol. No way my Samsung fridge gets cold faster than that crappy LG, my Maytag gets dishes way cleaner than your Bosch, yours is trash. I guess people need to be assured they purchased the right thing. If YOU like your TV, than who cares? All these TVs, are awesome today and if you didn't have them next to each other, you wouldn't know or care about any differences. You aren't going to enjoy a movie more watching on the QD Oled, over the Mini led. Just get the biggest size you can and enjoy.
So, if you are just going to use tv for movies, tv shows, news from streaming apps. So the 77 S90D would be better than the 85in QN90D in light controlled evnement from 10.5-11 feet away. I use the tv about 4-5 hours a day. How much light bleed/blooming does the QN90D have compared to the S90D Oled tv. Is it like 90% of oled black.
Got an s90c and did a service menu mod to bring the peak brightness in hdr to around 2000 nits max in a small window, but the most amazing thing it how much it brought up full window brightness, the tv is like an ips LCD full screen in terms of brightness and has much better color vibrancy. Even in SDR the fullscreen brightness is insanely high and watching anime without the screen dimming at all is an experience to behold with these vibrant colors and perfect contrast. Bought it for only 940, insanely good deal and the best tv I could imagine honestly, only thing I could hope for a future tv is the re-introducing of good 3d with this amazing brightness, possibly glasses free like on some tablets, other than that it's just perfection.
KG, doesn't listen to those buffoons. I've only watched a few of your videos mainly to do with the B9 (which I own), and you were clearly just giving your honest, subjective opinion of it, which is all anyone can ask for.
Have you or classy tech done picture settings, and game settings for the S90D or S95D? I want to purchase the S 90 D but I only see settings for the S90C and the S95C.
I really think the oleds have a much better picture /contrast but it would really annoy me everyday to think about a possible burn-in. Especially while gaming (huds).
@@dante19890 How recent is modern? I have a 2 year old QD-OLED. It had burn in within the first year I got it. Also saw a post of someone showing their S90D with burn in within two months of owning it. Mine was from gaming. I can see the mini map burnt into the top right corner and the action bars along the bottom of the screen.
@@dante19890that is not true. Oled fan boys will say it doesn't happen anymore it's a thing of the past bla bla bla IF you don't do this and you don't do that and so on lool oleds have more rules than a gremlin😂😂
Hey Tech with KG! Not sure if im remebering this right but im hearing some S90D's are 1000 nits and not 1200 nits that was reviewed by rtings? Are the 1000 nits woled and outside lf the US? I plan to buy a 65 in the states, i know its a guaranteed qd-oled but is there a chance it could be 1000 nits and not 1200 nits or is that just a woled thing?
Is the backlight better outside of game mode? Only reason I'm considering Mini-Led is price at 75" which the Qm851 should hit $1300ish on BF. Also, do newer Oleds no longer dim overtime if playing with static HUD content?
@itwasntoptional5114 only thing I read and heard on video was that the backlight is static in game mode on the qm851, raising the blacks. Is that true?
As someone who is interested in the S90D and the QN90D I’m Just wondering ,what settings did you have for the QN900d Local dimming? Was it high or low? I’d much appreciate it. Great video btw.
Thanks! Can't remember completely but I believe medium for maximum HDR impact for the highlights was where I landed with the QN900D. I saw the QN90D a few times but never had it in I have to say S90D was much better and I saw this when I had QN90C vs S90C (that is up on the channel) , S90C beat it especially in game mode.
Yeah, honestly I think I will have to go with the S90D, I’m only just worried about it’s longevity but I think it’ll be worth it, plus I get a little discount on Samsung tech as well so hopefully a Black Friday deal will stack on top of that lol.
I just ordered the Hisense 55-inch U8N. I have a much older 7 year old sony, so any upgrade is going to be vastly superior to the old tech I currently have. That being said, I primarily bought a new TV for games on my PS5, im really wondering if I should shell out a bit extra for the LG C3 series model. My tv arrives today , and this video showcases the different image quality , and even recording it on a camera shows a vast difference, I can only imagine how much more crisp the OLED looks in person. What do you think? Should I just return the Mini Led and order the LG C3? It's about $400 bucks more, I intend on keeping this TV for years to come, and I dont mind spending a bit extra for a vastly superior gaming experience.
Lol you answered your own question I've got the 85u8n it's amazing coming from a 8yr old Vizio.. it was 1,699 for the 85u8n But I just watch sports casual gamer and it's in my living room not a dark a gaming den... Return yes but 85u8n or 55inch OLED
Wow, thanks KG! With this short and sweet video you've managed to convince me to try the S95E next year. The main reasons I bought the QN900D was for the premium quality, size, durability and brightness.. But I think you're right, for my primary activity with these devices being gaming, I should go with the QD-OLED. I heard that Samsung's next year's model might be 83" - or 85"? If that's true I'll definitely make the switch. Gaming is all about lighting, motion and contrast. I mean in in these videos there even appears to be more detail, picture and colour spectrum visible in the QD-OLED. Ah well, live and learn. Thank you KG 🙏
I appreciate the comment and the support. QN900D is still an awesome TV even when gaming LCD just always falls short of OLED but its still a very enjoyable experience and you got that size advantage, I don’t see S95E being above 77” for QD OLED TVs. I much prefer gaming on OLED when possible but I still love gaming on my 120” projector setup because of size.
Hey kg love your work man, can i ask what you think of yhe motion on the qd oleds? I just got a s95c and coming from a lg g4 the motion seems very jittery
Would of been cool to do triple comparison but I kind of just wanted to do a Samsung vs Samsung for their most premium OLED and most premium LCD, also didn't overlap with the G4 being with me and thats the only one I would of thrown in.
Thanks yeah Samsung did an amazing job with the S95D this year, its top 2 this year of all TVs out for most and last year I didn't feel the want for an S95C over a S90C this year I definitely see the difference between S95D and S90D its clearly better and thats what I was hoping for from Samsung, its just unfortunate they went with a controversial screen coating that not everyone will like.
@@TechWithKG I bought the S95D 77inch from Crapton and Moore and it will be professional calibrated and supervised by Vincent Teoh himself. It was cheaper than the G4 77inch and A95l 77inch, plus I play around it in store and really liked it. Super happy, waiting for it to be delivered.
@@TheGodfather1022 How is it? I keep going back and forth between choosing LG G4 & S95D 55" mainly for bedroom gaming & Netflix etc. I'm also planning to get the Crampton & Moore calibration service as well 👍🏻
@@Mob-Psycho100 Get the S95D, much cheaper and it is really good. G4 is also good tho I have the 65inch G4. 77inch S95D for the price I got it for fully professionally calibrated was too good to pass.
Not only does the oled have a cleaner picture, it also comes with the added benefit of less overall lag and latency compared to led. The choice is a no brainer if your primary use is going to be gaming. Especially online competitive gaming.
Blooming... blooming everywhere. I can't with backlit TVs, not yet anyway. Maybe one day when the number of dimming zones goes up to at least 50k or something like that, then MAYBE it'll start competing, but it seems too far fetched right now
game mode or 1st person shooter mode on q90d does increase gamma and therefore looks foggy. i would definitely do another test with game mode off, you will be surprised how good it looks.
Funny that you used the glasses reference. I was thinking that to myself as I looked at the lighting before you said it. It’s like driving at night with glasses on
Oled is better but stupidly expensive in comparison to led for a big one and yes, burn in ans heat is a thing. I just see it as nit pickey now that many led tvs supprt vrr and local dimming where my 85" X90L is awesome with my ps5 with contrast, gamma and black level tweaks. I could afford a big oled but I'm happy enough with a huge tv that performs great and didn't cost an unreasonable amount these oleds so. They are price gouging until the hype goes down and they become the new normal OR led will get so good with brightness but perfect contrast and less energy consumption that they will remain around while oled is extinct like plasma.
Large OLEDs are expensive no doubt, I think right now thats the best case I have for the LCD TVs they have the larger size market on lock down. This we are seeing 77" OLED TVs for $1599 and 83" for $2499 so its getting lower slowly but surely, but yes you make a great point about the size advantage with pricing in mind.
@@TechWithKG Yeah, I think the silver lining is the competition is strong. Sony, which I've always liked their processing most will be forced to drop their prices. TCL is making a push as amazing quality for size and value and OLED are getting bigger brighter, cheaper with less issues like burn in 🤙
Exactly. I currently own an Oled but want to go larger to 75". Qm851 should hit about $1300 on BF which I'm considering. Although I can afford it, I don't feel like spending double for similar size Oled.
I thought the same one on right was the oled because it was like warmer or more saturated ; once you reveal the one on the left is the oled suddenly it becomes more accurate to my eyes .
I agree 100%... It's so obvious that Mini-led or any LCD based technology can't compete with Oled's by watching any content. Yet people jump in these forums and praise the Bravia 9 simply because it's a Sony...they could literally release anything and charge what they want now...I admit their marketing and hype is second to none but anyone with an eagle eye knows better
I understand your description of the two different technologies kg and appreciate it. I will deffo go oled next time. I just couldnt afford it this time round. Having said that my qn95c is just blowing my mind right now. And the lights do look brighter on the mini led in your video. I enjoy the gaming brigtness on mini led bud
i have an lg 48 inch monitor and it looks great but sometimes it does crush blacks and color banding is annoying with movies and youtube content, i have a sony x90l 65 inch and its not as bright as my lg monitor i do enjoy playing games on it better than on my lg monitor because of fear for burn in, there are more color options on tv than on monitors
Yeah oled with always win. However the mini led tvs can get very close to oleds if you use 6500k white bias lighting. It significantly improves contrast, reduces blooming, clouding, edge blooming, dse, improves colors etc, basically reduces all lcd issues. So imo everyone who owns an lcd should use it. I used to own a samsung frame qled so i know. It would be great if you can redo this comparison with 6500k white bias lighting on the mini led tv just so that we can get an idea how close it can get to an oled.
It all depends on how deep is your pocket. Back in the days a regular LED 100 inch TV would run you over $100K. Now you can get a 100" mini LED on sale for $1.8K. A 100" OLED TV would run you....maybe about $25K+. Nothing is free in life.
KG, you basically destroyed the QN900D here. It's ridiculous how Samsung's flagship "8K" tv that's 2x the cost still performs worse because it's not an OLED. Goes to show that just because you slap 8K on the label and put an $8000 price tag on it, doesn't mean you're getting the best quality. ~Scott
You can substitute any premium LCD like Sony Bravia 9 for the QN900D and it be the same thing, it’s nothing against the QN900D like I said on its own it performs great its just a technology mismatch against a QD OLED though especially with games in mind.
Yea, QD-OLED is mostly better, but I’m willing to sacrifice a bit of PQ for immersion through screen size of an 85” mini-LED. 83” QD-OLED don’t exist yet, and OLED are just ridiculously overpriced yet for what they are.
Compare tcl c855 with samsung qn900d and you will see the difference in clarity and quality, the tcl c855 is better than qn 900d and close to any oled tv
For the same price we'd get a much bigger Mini LED and the quality delta against OLED is not that dramatic anymore. I'd still apply the basic rule, it depends on room ambient light : If you live in a cave = OLED If you have friends or families = Miniled
Sure back when OLED TVs maxed out their peak brightness around 700 nits but that rule doesn’t apply to newer OLED TVs S95D is for sure a better bright room choice compared to the QN900D.
In this example you only picked night/dark scenes so the perfect conditions for an OLED display to outshine (pun intended) a MiniLED display since there are only a few of pixels to light up at powerful levels. Hence why those 10%, 30%, 50% and 100% max brightness level tests exists. The whole paradigm shifts as soon as you throw bright daylight scenes as long as the actual content really makes use of those high brightness levels since MiniLED displays are able and meant to withstand brighter tones while also taking a lot more space on our screens than what OLED can do, even the modern ones. The HDR10 norm was actually created on a thick experimental MinLED prototype more than a decade ago and was not intended to have 100% of the display blasting 10.000 nits but only a couple zones covered by those Mini LEDs. So it really depends on the kind of content and the ambient light because there are really strengths and weaknesses in both technologies that could be neglected depending on those aforementioned factors.
I think default is a lil over brightened st 2084 -1 or -2 I think I had it when I filmed I don't really remember this was filmed like 3 months ago lol I was using Classy Tech Calibration's recommendations I believe I know for sure I had to do it on the S90D but I don't recall if it was also on the S95D I think it was.
@@TechWithKG Im between getting the s95d or the g4 at 55 inches at black friday and im leaning for the g4 because its gonna be more accurate ootb, i have an s95b atm and im kind of over having to adjust settings just to get a decent picture, it also appears like the g4 will be 100 dollars less than the s95d on black friday so seems like the better deal.
For the S95D its just game mode that needs more adjustments, filmmaker mode and movie mode default to BT 2020 and look great out of the box. That said I like the artificial depth enhancing effect that the G4 implemented. Cant go wrong with either TV.
All ima say is im not smart with tv. But s90d vs lgc1 my s90d is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER. Omg its like very inky, neon color with pop. Its crisp and smooth
I really want to get a hisense u8n 85" for the price and people talking that the picture is great. But im an oled guy, im in my fourth, and i get so afraid. I know u8n is going to have a worse pictire than my s90d, but im afraid the difference is so big that ill completely regret.
Is this HDR? I think HDR favors OLEDs. I think LEDs TVs would benefit from SDR where they do have a massive brightness advantage. You won't get the same highlights but the overall picture should be more dynamic. You might want to compare HDR for the S95D to SDR for the QN900D. I think many people would be pretty happy with the SDR version on their LEDs vs the HDR version on an OLED even in a neon level that would also favor OLEDs and HDR. But you're right the OLED looks clearer in HDR especially in those high contrast areas. In a way, there's halo on everything and I think SDR would remove that as HDR is choking the LED TV.🙂
@@dante19890 have you seen the difference between SDR and HDR or just assuming one is better? It's not like the manufacturers offer a setting to quickly switch between SDR and HDR. Ever wonder why? I'm one of the few people with a phone-like OLED laptop that could do A/B switching of HDR (Dolby Vision) and SDR at the same brightness levels 900-1,000 nits and I can quickly compare HDR and SDR at LED level brightness. It'll definitely shock anyone watching it without a doubt.
All in all everyone is entitled to opinion - if you like mini led go for it but don’t try to bend opinions of others because they disagree. Oled is oled and micro contrast shows. Doesn’t mean mini led is awful, just not as good. There are good use cases for both. With what Hisense does mini led is getting better and better each year
Its not awful you are right, and Hisense & TCL are killing it in their price bracket. I am definitely not trying to bend anyones opinion Mini LED has a place I was just sharing my opinion that at this premium price it feels like were hitting a point where the Mini LED TVs don't need to be the same price as premium OLED TVs of the the same size so this was more so to show people the difference between an expensive Mini LED TV and an expensive OLED TV.
@@TechWithKG I was more thinking about people going after you, trying to force their opinion that mini Led is better because in their specific usage it might be. I see few people like that every year saying this is it, this is perfect mini led just to see them upgrading next year to new model and claiming the same. Always comes to mind if it was perfect last year why are you changing your TV again? Was it not perfect in the end if new model is so much better again? Yeah, makes me laugh a bit. That’s a small percentage of people but they are the loudest for sure. With OLEDs we don’t have problems like that. If you get an Oled next year you won’t have a buyer remorse or Fomo and won’t have a need to get newer one each year. You’ll be happy for years to come.
People here really struggle with misinformation, jeez I dunno where to start! It's like Sony algorithm with dimming zones is the best in the business & SDR is on another level I could've purchased any TV & no way would I buy Oled
Thats definitely for the pro gamers, im pretty washed when it comes to competitive gaming lol but even then I don't think I could sacrifice 4k for 1440p though I tried the G85SD from Samsung and I definitely liked it just missed 4k resolution crispiness. That said I hope I get to try one eventually ill fire up some counter-strike for old time sake.

There is no comparison between an oled and a mini led, let alone a qd oled panel which is even more superior than a simple oled panel, so in this territory a mini led has no place to even being mentioned. It's just a waste of your effort, because in the end of day most of you, are working your ass off and in my opinion a mini led isn't worth your while since you can get the best possible picture there is, in the same price of a mini led crap if not for less even. Stop being so afraid of the oleds, they're just tvs. Just get an extended warranty and you'll be just fine, i personaly have the s90c 55 inches for more than a year and it's the best choice I've ever made when it comes down to purchasing a product. Go for it and stop being so dramatic about it, technology has evolved way too much since oleds first came in to life and you don't need to worry anymore about dead pixels so much, of course there's always a possibility to get a defective product, but that's rare and even then you can always take it back and get a brand new one the same day.
I just stopped buying this ridiculously overpriced Samsung tvs after 20 years and bought a Hisense miniled much-much-much cheaper, one of my best choice ever.
1) When you make such comparisons, you should always show the settings you are using on both tv sets you compare, since there is nothing on a mini led tv tech-wise that can justify a 'hazy' look, especially when talking about a premium mini led tv. 2) You are using a 8k mini led tv, which essentially takes a machine that is designed for a maximum of a 4k output, and then outputs on an 8k screen, and then you compare it with a 4k screen that uses a machine that outputs in 4k. In one instance you have a 1:1 pixel ratio, in the other you don't. Make of that what you will. 3) Enough with constantly mentioning the 'dse' of mini led tvs, which tbh the better more premium mini ledtv you have, and the bigger inches you get, is less. If you are going to systematically mention it, start also mentioning the real issue modern oled tvs have with vertical banding, with vertical bands constantly being there, and when you see content in near black/greyscale is very apparent. Try playing any horror game, and see how on the greyish fog scenes you almost always notice the vertical bands. KG you are good, but at times you just appear like an oled groupie.
I think you’re absolutely right, OLED TVs, regardless if it’s S90d, G4, S95D, A95l, even C4, are all better than Bravia 9, however, some of us that don’t care about gaming, can’t deal with potential burn in, not being able to keep the same image on the tv for long period of time, watch mostly SDR content, prefer great up scaling, and don’t want to replace the tv every 3-5 years, we still appreciate what led tvs bring to the table. I don’t get offended when you say g4 is a better tv than Bravia 9, have had both, but my daily driver is not a g4, that simple. Bravia 9 is phenomenal for watching movies, news and sports, and that’s what I watch most on it. Do I wish it had OLED contrast, sure who wouldn’t, but on its own, it’s a stellar tv.
It's a shame that OLED is an absolute nightmare for playing games with VRR enabled in medium/dark scenes. Man, my Resident Evil experience was completely ruined because of the OLED screen. The VRR flickering is simply atrocious. Yes, the blacks in the dark scenes were beautiful-when they weren't flickering like an epilepsy trigger... It's extremely annoying, especially if you're meticulous. I guess we'll have to wait for someone to work some kind of magic and fix this issue somehow. All those recommendations that say 'OLED is the perfect screen for gaming' should be required to come with a warning about VRR flickering
That depends quite a bit. I used my OLED exclusively for gaming, and I ended up giving it to my parents and buying myself a mini LED IPS. The VRR flickering is simply unbearable, a nightmare... the whole point of buying an OLED is for it to look good in dark scenes, but in games, this is completely ruined by the flickering. It's absolutely atrocious. The OLED is the 'perfect' monitor for gaming only if you play games that don’t have dark scenes; otherwise, it’s an epilepsy party, my Resident Evil gameplay experience was completely ruined by the OLED screen
A few years of ownership of a oled TV, there's a very good chance that you're going to experience temporary image retention or longer term permanent screen burn in. Despite Oleds looking spectacular, the headaches that come with that technology aren't worth it. You have moderate the type of content you watch on the TV, you have to run to occasional pixel refreshes, you have to make sure you don't have something with a static image for awhile on the screen etc. There's too much headaches for average consumers shouldn't have to put up with.
After getting an OLED and seeing family have LCD TV's makes me realize how vastly superior OLED is.people always talk about picture quality, but let me tell you that motion clarity is a huge deal.mini led displays motion have quite a bit of motion blur by comparison,to the point that it makes the whole image look like someone poured vasoline over the screen.with LCD you get bad motion blur, ghosting,or both.from my experience,Hisense is notorious for having the worst motion
@@dante19890 On Mini LED IPS flickering is literally non-existent. Since I switched from OLED to Mini LED IPS a few months ago I haven’t seen a single flicker like I did on OLED. That’s why Rtings gives OLED ratings of 3-4, VAs 6-7, and IPS 9.6+. OLED is just on another level on how badly it handles VRR flickering
haha lol is it possible to compare TVs of different diagonals, they have different ppi, which makes the smaller diagonal clearer and more saturated, even without different technology .. and it also seems to me that you over-lighted the Samsung or just set it up in a hurry.. I think this review is not objective!
The QN900D is actually a budget TV with a premium price!. A pure scam from Samsuck. This TV has allot of blooming and basically just a really bad panel. You should compare with a real mini-led from hisense or TCL.. those have allot more dimming zones and peak brightness and great gaming features like the S95D
Actually, the game in Ori and Sea of Thieves is really dark on the QD OLED. I would say anyone over the age of 50 might prefer a slightly elevated image in terms of blacks as our eyes strain in the darkness. Granted gamers are usually younger but the difference in darks takes on a different meaning as you get older in terms of effort to see. That strain will also affect young folks though - their eyes just cope better with it, until they no longer do.

The s95d simply destroys the led in contrast, clarity, and brightness. Its not even close.

Be careful of the burn in though. The warranty won't cover it.
KG, doesn't listen to those buffoons. I've only watched a few of your videos mainly to do with the B9 (which I own), and you were clearly just giving your honest, subjective opinion of it, which is all anyone can ask for.
Hoping to buy a qd-oled during black friday sales to go with PS5 Pro
Monitor or TV?
@B_Machine
TV. Probably the S90D, either 65 inch or 77 inch
Ur more likely to get a heart attack than burn in on a modern oled
@@dante19890 How recent is modern? I have a 2 year old QD-OLED. It had burn in within the first year I got it. Also saw a post of someone showing their S90D with burn in within two months of owning it. Mine was from gaming. I can see the mini map burnt into the top right corner and the action bars along the bottom of the screen.

This video isn’t to say that mini led is bad. QD OLED just looks way better for gaming. The QM851g is a great tv and it’s good for gaming
@itwasntoptional5114 only thing I read and heard on video was that the backlight is static in game mode on the qm851, raising the blacks. Is that true?
@@Jodez23 I do not believe that’s true, no. The backlight is nerfed on the QM850g but the 2024 version shouldn’t have that problem
Are you playing this on the ps5, wondering if the s90d has the same processing as s95d?
Same processor, different panel generation, different peak brightness.
The processor in the S95D is an upgrade over the S90D.
I highly advise you all to look into it as this is an important aspect to the S95D.
We are watching video with phone, could you also upload without hdr? Phone doesn't show hdr videos bright @@TechWithKG

If you’re phone doesn’t do HDR RUclips will apply an SDR conversion LUT
@TechWithKG Ah darn! Fomo said the S95E might be 83 or 85 next year. Either way I still think I'll get one. Excited for CES 2025 💪
Definitely excited to cover CES 2025 hopefully we get some good surprises
Hey kg love your work man, can i ask what you think of yhe motion on the qd oleds? I just got a s95c and coming from a lg g4 the motion seems very jittery
the first second, i noticed how pale the bigger screen is and yep, its the Mini Led.
Should've been a triple comparison with a WOLED there as well.
Would of been cool to do triple comparison but I kind of just wanted to do a Samsung vs Samsung for their most premium OLED and most premium LCD, also didn't overlap with the G4 being with me and thats the only one I would of thrown in.
keep up the good work KG, this is a well thought out video comparison and it is well presented. That S95D is no joke.
@@TechWithKG I have experienced the coating, it is not as bad as people make it out to be.

Not only does the oled have a cleaner picture, it also comes with the added benefit of less overall lag and latency compared to led. The choice is a no brainer if your primary use is going to be gaming. Especially online competitive gaming.
Are you able to see a difference in the upscaling if you sit close?
65" or 77" for s95d 9-10 feet away? mostly gaming
Black crush seems to be an issue in the LG C3 and not on a QN90D.
kg 77s95d or 77 g4 at same price?
Blooming... blooming everywhere.
I would never have anything other than a qd oled if given a choice, they are beautiful to look at.
Sony Bravia B9 for the win 🏆
VERY GOOD EXCELLENT COMPARISON AND EXTREMELY HONEST EVALUATIONS ... I WOULD SAY QD OLED WINS HANDS DOWN .. QD OLED ALL THE TIME 🤩👍
i have an lg 48 inch monitor and it looks great but sometimes it does crush blacks and color banding is annoying with movies and youtube content, i have a sony x90l 65 inch and its not as bright as my lg monitor i do enjoy playing games on it better than on my lg monitor because of fear for burn in, there are more color options on tv than on monitors
Nice comparison. Could you use day scenes also?
This is a great video. I like the detailed breakdown between the two technologies.
QN900D looks pretty good. This coming from someone whose 3 most recent TVs have been OLED.
isnt Oleds real problem , is that it does get as bright ?
Nice vid. Can you do a similar comparison regarding HDR Movies. Also, the reason for Mini LED is 98" sizes
Could you test No Man sky with the Sansung 8k screen?
Great comparison
Sony vs. Panasonic if you can please. Would be super interesting.
Yea, QD-OLED is mostly better, but I’m willing to sacrifice a bit of PQ for immersion through screen size of an 85” mini-LED.
83” QD-OLED don’t exist yet, and OLED are just ridiculously overpriced yet for what they are.
A bigger screen is not better for immersion, when image quality is way worse. Especially in dark scenes LCD is just trash.
@@Dr.WhetFarts opinions.
Compare tcl c855 with samsung qn900d and you will see the difference in clarity and quality, the tcl c855 is better than qn 900d and close to any oled tv
QD-OLED is gorgeous and they supply panels for Sony, that says enough
3 seconds in and I knew what the oled was.
For the same price we'd get a much bigger Mini LED and the quality delta against OLED is not that dramatic anymore.
I'd still apply the basic rule, it depends on room ambient light :
If you live in a cave = OLED
If you have friends or families = Miniled
Yea, never forget when it comes to image quality that clean glasses makes a huge difference. Even an OLED is going to bloom with some dirty glasses.
Facts lol, thats how I know its time to clean my glasses asap.
It had less layers also
Did you have to adjust any settings on the s95d?, i hear default is overbrightened.

Micro contrast works both ways, not only for dark scenes.

I’ll take the cheapest of the two.
Completely agree! 👍🏼 I wish I could afford the Bravia 9 as well, but might just the 85” X90L and save $3K 😅
Any Samsung QD OLED will kill the Bravia 9
Lots of people still coping on LCD when we have qd oled in the same price class or even cheaper.
It really is ignorance to the highest degree.
@@adhom9053 vrr flickering happens on lcds too. It's not an oled thing
Yeah. Definitely an OLED fanboy.
Nothing wrong with that. Own it, dont hide from it.
