Greetings! We are just back on Celebrity Apex after our excursion “Bruges On Your Own”. Wonderful place. We actually were inspired to do this excursion when we watched this video last fall. We bought chocolate at The Chocolate Line and had the Flemish Beef Stew at De Vlaamsche Pot. Oh my was that delicious!!! Even the bread was a notch up 😊 Thank you for the great content and excellent descriptions to find the sites!! ❤

I really liked your video - it is very helpful for me as I plan my summer trip to Bruges. You covered a lot, and I appreciated the practical tips and ideas. My favorite part is where you talk about the food, but I do have a suggestion: could you put the names of the places you talk about either on the screen (so viewers can pause and take note) or maybe put them in the comments section. I got De Vlaamsche Pot (because you showed the sign) and then Da Vinci, but the two or three after that I couldn't get, even though I slowed it down. Your English is excellent, but for non-Belgians, its hard for us to understand exactly unless we can see it printed. Anyway, I say this because I really liked your video and want them to be the best they can be!

Love the content. One thing I would recommend adding is typing the name of the place on the video. I find it difficult to understand the exact name of the place as you pronounce it in Belgian way :) Note: The auto generated captions doesn’t do a good job of spelling the names correctly 😢

The days get short already in November and the weather might not be the best. However, I think Bruges has its charm in any season.
Sara, well done for a great video ). I'm curious to know, how deep is the city centre canal? And have you ever seen a black swan in this canal?
Thank you! The canals in the city center are probably maximum 2 meters deep. The swans are at the Beguinage and the Donkey Gate (Ezelspoort) but I’ve only seen white swans. (Though in 2021 a black swan had found its way to Bruges and stayed for a bit.)

Yes, you can see the small white and red van in front of the station. You can easily walk to the center, but with luggage the shuttle might be useful. Enjoy!

Me and my Mrs used to go to Bruges twice a year. We can not go anymore because P&O ferries have stopped doing the trip. Absolutely gutted. We miss it so much.

Oh er is een gratis shuttlebus van het station naat het centrum? Nog nooit van gehoord. Waar vind je die dan? Of is dat iets nieuws of tijdelijks? Heb de bus van de Lijn al genomen naar het centrum en die moet je gewoon betalen. 🤷♀️ Het is nu wel al geleden van voor corona dat ik nog in Brugge kwam. Verder: Leuke, interessante video.

You said you grew up just outside of Bruges. What would be some places to stay right outside of Bruges, if there are any, but still be able to walk or come to Bruges with public transport, please? Thank you so much
Depends on what you are looking for. There are plenty of forests around and farms that have B&B’s. I would say everywhere is accessible by bus. Even the coast is an option as it’s only max 30mins away.
