Tbh my uvb light the Arcadia shade dweller seems to be perfect to grow plants in my enclosures I think it’s more about the UVB itself it has to include UVB AND UVE and it also can’t be too strong I don’t think. Which is why the shade dweller works so well I assume
chameleons need way more uvb than the shade dweller offers. they are not shade dwellers, they need a basking uvi of at least 2 on a solar meter. the arcadia t5 ho 6% is much better for them
Oh don't get me started ,I feel so awful for how I housed my hamsters 25 years ago . Like you said research My Mr Dasiy-May is very spoiled and in a huge tank with the right size wheel .I know his not a chameleon but getting the right advice from people like you is important. The UV light should be the main crossing of the top of the cage, not the plant light ❤ it appears his UV light is way too far in the back so he's not getting enough UV most likely ❤
