Thanks for your insight with these missions etc. Started playing this game back in 2017, and while it was fun, it was filled with bugs, glitches and was incredibly confusing back then because it was new and needed improvement. I maxed out my units to the limit of 999 billion, had like 167,000 nanites and then stopped playing because there was nothing else to do. I made it to the galactic center 2 times. But now that there are so many updates it sparked new interest especially the living ships. I never watched RUclips for no mans sky but thanks for posting these videos, because the most important thing is that the locations and how to get there are accurate, and thanks for walking and talking us all through the 5 day teeth-pulling of waiting for the ship parts to mature etc. The portal glyphs, everything works out just the way you explained it, so thanks again. The Alien multi-tool was exactly where you said it was also from the portal glyphs. One thing I wanted to mention too- I’ve found that if you go to a prosperous Gek system with no conflict, in an S-class ship, your odds of finding another in that station is very low. Get into the lowest class ship you have first and travel to a Gek system that way and go to the space station. Either there will be one waiting in the station, or very soon after. Got all of my S-class exotics that way. If you can, explain to people how and where you are seeing the map coordinates. I’ve never used them in the past because the locations were always marked prior with an icon. Two thumbs up on your vids !
I didnt know that progressing the story would just naturally start giving me them... i literally was warping around flipping cobalt for millions and started recieving glyphs after every warp. I had finished the artemis storyline and when i was getting the glyphs for free i actually thought that the game was tired of me taking so long to get em so it gave me them for free
I got this game a couple of days ago and I'm hooked. Just got my fleet and on the mission where you send it out to do a mission. Loving this game so far. Your videos has helped me so so much. I appreciate it and will continue watching for more great content.
Way back when I first did my glyphs, I encountered a glitch. I went to the same Traveler and he sent me to the same grave over and over but it was a different glyph each time. It made getting all 16 much easier and faster. I like to build a small base at my portals.
@Mass This is one of NMS's best features, it allows the players to play the way they want to. We make or own goals and missions. We are given a massive sand box to play in. It's amazing to me. Adter 6 years, I still learn new things
I was just fooling around with the Photo mode and I found that the portal coordinates for your current location show up in the lower left corner. I think I've seen all or most of your portal videos, and I don't think you mentioned it, but I could be very wrong, LOL! Either way, it's a fantastically easy way to find coordinates!
Yeah, I figured that out doing photo missions. It the only reason I would ever go into photo mode lol so I didn't find out for awhile. But it's right there in the corner and I haven't seen him mention it before either.
As of February 29th 2021, I’ve been finding travellers in groups of 2-3 in the space stations and EACH will give you a different glyph, but will send you to the same grave! Just an FYI so if you find more than one you don’t give up on the others.
I started doing this from a previous video that I saw. I found one traveller and got my first glyph. I decided to follow the main storyline while looking for the travellers and ended up easily getting all of the glyphs playing the story and haven't found another traveller since. lol
It took me about a week of playing a couple hours a night to get all the glyphs this way but it was totally worth it. But then doing the story lines are totally worth it too. I'm enjoying hopping around Hilbert galaxy these days because of finishing the story line.
These videos are really helpful! It was actually these videos that got me interested in No Man's Sky. I got it for PS4 and it has a feature where it let's you play the base game before you install the newer updates, so you can compare the base game with its newer versions
I played the release version for a year before updating, and…THE MINERALS CHANGED. Some elements were removed, and others were renamed. For instance, Plutonium was very important before updating, and disappeared after. It almost made me quit playing. I had to relearn all the refiner recipes. Luckily there are users who have made and share spreadsheets of these refiner recipes. There are even iOS helper apps!
It took me 52 space stations to get 16 glyphs. Most Travelers I saw was 2 per station. Only ever saw them in the populated social area and the side room with 3 guys. Sometimes they’d be the guy behind the desk. Don’t forget, they can look different like an alien cat. I used the interstellar terminus to warp to other people’s stations without using warp drives. Once I found one close to the center of the galaxy (0ly) I stayed in that area and warped with galaxy map since there are more travelers closer to the center.

When I realized portals were a thing and you could get the glyphs from the storyline. I just rushed through it in a few hours. It doesn't take too long if you have an abundance of resources.
10 Hours to get all of the glyphs? Man I knew that you can get the glyphs with story but 10 hours? I wish i knew that... I just grinded them which took me days... I guess im unlucky huh?..

Hey I’m new and I was wondering is there a certain length into the campaign you need to be in? I’m at the Artemis mission but I can’t find any of the travelers :( I’ve searched more than 13
From my experience the travellers didn’t appear in space stations until I got to the end of the campaign when you have to start jumping systems. That particular mission actually gives you the glyphs.
to people trying to do this method still, make sure you have an economy scanner in your ship to look for a trade post. travelers can spawn there and any other randomly generated building with npc’s
also if you find multiple travelers in the same space station or something like that make sure you get the glyph from the first one before asking for the second ones grave location. if you talk to them both you can only get one glyph. but if you collect the glyph and then go back to talk to the second traveler, you can get another glyph from the same grave
i did the same things in this video while doing the storyline and found a portal but forgot to put a save beacon... and i can't find the planet also i forgot to reload the game then so that is not possible as well...
For my opinion, Finding portal and S class Freighter are the most difficult things in this game. But I found portal but I haven't find freighter yet😄. Thx for video
When I make a home planet. I make my base where I want it and look for a portal on the same planet where I build a small cabin. That way, whenever I need one, I have one at the ready.
I have a question. I know to disable multiplayer but when you start up the game do you choose multiplayer and then disable multiplayer when your in game?

Yes I have found as many as 4 travelers in one system. They are now on the archives, besides minor settlements, trade centers and the space station. Oh and also in observatories.
I have 100% for sure found two graves and two glyphs in the same system, on both my Normal and Permadeath saves. I remember because I was surprised, having heard many times that there was only one per system. Each time, one came from a Space Station Traveller, then one came by stumbling across it while exploring another planet. I don't remember which update that was in, though, so I apologize for not having more specific info.
I don't know if this still works, but I got all 16 glyphs from same grave. I flew to grave, got the glyph, then flew to space station. Saved the game and reloaded. I then went back to same grave and got a new glyph. Just put a beacon at the grave so you can find it again. Hope it still works!!!
If I don't find a travelers grave will other travelers not show up? Because I found 2 in the same system but when I went to go look for their Graves the icons disappeared and after that I've been to like 20 differen space stations and haven't found one since

As a tip for beginners, pack your inventory full of chlorine, and remember every station that sells chlorine you can sell then rebuy it for 30% of the price you sold it more or less and don't forget every station can unlock 1 space in the exosuit.
@@superuseriii Because this way you don't have to keep refining chlorine, just sell and then buy it for 70% less, and jump to another system that sells chlorine and do that again, it's faster.
Doesn't sound faster. Plus you have to warp to different systems. I've generated a hundred million units in a couple hours using multiple refiners. And that's 100% profit which is way more lucrative than buying it at a reduced price then selling it. Also, I unlocked my all inventory slots using drop pod coordinate data. I did that within the same system. Way more efficient than warping to almost 60+ systems. This too also didn't take long. I couldn't imagine warping to all those systems to unlock 1 inventory slot when you can get 20+ slots on a single planet.
@@superuseriii when you have already found at least 10 planets that sell chlorine just use the station to warp to another, don't even have to go to the ship.
What upgrade allows you to jetpack so fast?? You sort of twist and fly so quickly over the ground. That just speed modifications on the jetpack? Or something else?
I found two travelers on planets at Trading Posts, have never come across one at a station. Granted I've probably only visited about a dozen at this stage, having only been playing for the first time for the past month. Is this still the way to get glyphs?
I’m mixed up, I was playing with a friend in a different galaxies cuz h reserved it or something, I don’t know much, I am in the starter galaxy but which galaxy is it? My teleporter in the space stations have other space stations from two different galaxies which are essintam and Euclid. One of them is mine but which?
It is ok, you will find more travelers. They tend to not interact after the first time. If you really want to go back, maybe use an older save if you have one.
So I've done the mission where it sends you through a portal, where you collect 3 sets of glyphs..but they were not appearing on that glyph screen? I've just found my first own portal.. should I not bother powering it up before regrinding the glyphs?
I did the storyline and didn't receive the portal glyphs.. Did I do something wrong? or did I miss something? Is the only way to get glyphs these days by finding travelers graves?
The story fragments into a few threads. The one that takes you towards the galactic core should start giving them as you make the 16 jumps to get there.
That is strange, i get a glyph just by traveling to a new system without doing anything and i dont know why. It startet happening after i finished the artemis story but i decided to let him die. Can somebody explain me what happend. Maby a bug or something
That's part of the story! Completing the main story will unlock every glyph. This video just shows an alternate way to get them if you really want the glyphs early or whatever the reason may be.
i have a new player question. are the gliphs you find exclusive or no? as in say i found a grave that gave me "triforce" the next time i pay a traveler 100 nanites i would be garenteed to get something other than triforce, so on and so forth until i complete the 16. would be great to know! ty in advance!
I finished the Artemis story but only ended up with 11 of 16 glyph's. Now I'm at the final step of the Living Ship quest where you have to use a portal to go to a specific planet where the void egg wants to be born and I'm missing ONE glyph. Arrrrgh. So I guess I need to go grave hunting. I already had a portal located and marked with a save beacon.
There are more then one grave per system. Travelers will only point you to one but it is possible(but harder) to find more. There is system named Sialas with a planet named New Bosie that has 12+ gravesites on it.
You have to reload a save. It won't let you do it over if you get it wrong or anything. That's why he said to save right before. You basically just get the one chance. Late, but just throwing this out there anyway.
Hey! Not sure if this happened with one of the updates since this video came out, but I just started doing my glyphs and I was able to get two in the same system since there were two travelers at the space station.
For some reason your space station looks different than mine, the ones I’ve been to have a big square eye thing and all the stuff is at the front with no bar
They changed the space station design last update, I started playing since then and haven't found a traveller so I was here to find comments saying if that had changed too:(
Do you have to recharge the glyphs every time you want to use the portal or once all the glyphs for that specific portal have been charged you can use it as many times as you want?
Soooo, does anyone know why I spoke to a traveler and gave him the 100 nanites, it said grave located, but no where to be seen is an unknown grave marker on my compass... anyone know why that happened?? I heard it was because I was in a group with two of my friends... is that true haha
do you need to find a portal on every single system as well or no just one? doing all 16 in 16 different systems and 16 portals seems like it might take 10 hours itss elf... hahah
biiig spoilers for this (in my opinion) crap story i've gotten to the part where i found artemis ded, how much more of the story do i need to do to get the glyphs? edit: also just really wanted to say your character looks friggin sick XD
One grave glyph per system? I had a perma death save that had 2 graves right next to my base and I got a glyph from both. And oddly bout 2 weeks later I was able to get glyphs again. Also if you see 2 travelers in space station do one go to grave and get glyph. Go back to second traveler and he will give you same grave but you get another glyph

I am almost positive that I finished the entire artemis quest line and when I go into my glyphs to see how many I have unlocked I only have 2....does anyone have any insight on this? Does anybody know what the final quest is for artemis right before you unlock all the glyphs?
You get one glyph per warp. Did you jump before you got the data? You have to wait for the info to be downloaded to you. If you warped before you got the glyphs then you wouldn't receive them....
i give him 100 nanites and he says hill show me his grave but the graves are not marked so i have no clue where the graves are and i loose my 100 nanites everytime.

No Travelers have shown up in any base in the last 24 hours. Literally, I haven't slept.
You can complete the main storyline. Doing it will give you portals + all glyphs since it's part of the mission.

How do I get my ship to maneuver like it is NOT a lead weight at the end of a rubber band?

I found the first 5 glyphs in the first 5 systems I entered and now I only have found 3 in the last 12 systems, kinda frustrating

And they gave you a second glyph? Anytime I run into multiple travellers they all point me to the same grave

Why would you do that when you can just use a med refiner to combine oxygen with chlorine giving you 4x more chlorine then you rinse and repeat.

It is ok, you will find more travelers. They tend to not interact after the first time. If you really want to go back, maybe use an older save if you have one.

So I've done the mission where it sends you through a portal, where you collect 3 sets of glyphs..but they were not appearing on that glyph screen?
I've just found my first own portal.. should I not bother powering it up before regrinding the glyphs?
I did the storyline and didn't receive the portal glyphs.. Did I do something wrong? or did I miss something? Is the only way to get glyphs these days by finding travelers graves?
The story fragments into a few threads. The one that takes you towards the galactic core should start giving them as you make the 16 jumps to get there.

That is strange, i get a glyph just by traveling to a new system without doing anything and i dont know why. It startet happening after i finished the artemis story but i decided to let him die. Can somebody explain me what happend. Maby a bug or something
That's part of the story! Completing the main story will unlock every glyph. This video just shows an alternate way to get them if you really want the glyphs early or whatever the reason may be.
So do I go to the same portal every time I get a glyph or whatever portal is in that system?
i have a new player question. are the gliphs you find exclusive or no? as in say i found a grave that gave me "triforce" the next time i pay a traveler 100 nanites i would be garenteed to get something other than triforce, so on and so forth until i complete the 16. would be great to know! ty in advance!
Once you use the portal to another spot in the galaxy, can you use a teleport to come back to your base ?

I finished the Artemis story but only ended up with 11 of 16 glyph's. Now I'm at the final step of the Living Ship quest where you have to use a portal to go to a specific planet where the void egg wants to be born and I'm missing ONE glyph. Arrrrgh. So I guess I need to go grave hunting. I already had a portal located and marked with a save beacon.
True lol those travelers could be anywhere i once found a traveler down in the landing pads on the space station lol 😆 probably a glitch.
I was wondering if using the portals counted as warping? If anyone know the answer I would love to know.

There are more then one grave per system. Travelers will only point you to one but it is possible(but harder) to find more. There is system named Sialas with a planet named New Bosie that has 12+ gravesites on it.
It won't even let me interact with monolith again once I was done with the riddle. Confused 🤔
You have to reload a save. It won't let you do it over if you get it wrong or anything. That's why he said to save right before. You basically just get the one chance.

Hey! Not sure if this happened with one of the updates since this video came out, but I just started doing my glyphs and I was able to get two in the same system since there were two travelers at the space station.
I’m still relatively new to NMS, so I’m wondering how you got the rainbow colored jetpack fuel/exhaust/etc, it looks awesome!
You get them in the anomaly doing missions. You buy stuff like that with quicksilver.

For some reason your space station looks different than mine, the ones I’ve been to have a big square eye thing and all the stuff is at the front with no bar
They changed the space station design last update, I started playing since then and haven't found a traveller so I was here to find comments saying if that had changed too:(
Howcome the bases look completely different for me?? Were they changed in an update?
Do you have to recharge the glyphs every time you want to use the portal or once all the glyphs for that specific portal have been charged you can use it as many times as you want?
I've been searching for the monolith with the portal for months. I've finally had enough, what is going on? I can't find a portal to save my life!
I have completed the Artemis storyline and have been to a portal but I have not unlocked a glyph?

Ah ok so you have complete 16 glyphs and then you to the portal.

Soooo, does anyone know why I spoke to a traveler and gave him the 100 nanites, it said grave located, but no where to be seen is an unknown grave marker on my compass... anyone know why that happened?? I heard it was because I was in a group with two of my friends... is that true haha

One grave glyph per system? I had a perma death save that had 2 graves right next to my base and I got a glyph from both. And oddly bout 2 weeks later I was able to get glyphs again. Also if you see 2 travelers in space station do one go to grave and get glyph. Go back to second traveler and he will give you same grave but you get another glyph
But how do you get the stations looking like that ?? Looks so futuristic and cool 😎

Great videos bro! Very helpful and informative. I have a question for you and for anyone on here that knows. I am almost positive that I finished the entire artemis quest line and when I go into my glyphs to see how many I have unlocked I only have 2....does anyone have any insight on this? Does anybody know what the final quest is for artemis right before you unlock all the glyphs?
You get one glyph per warp. Did you jump before you got the data?
You have to wait for the info to be downloaded to you. If you warped before you got the glyphs then you wouldn't receive them....
Well I mean haven't finished watching it: don't plan too: just gonna finish Artemis story line :P
i give him 100 nanites and he says hill show me his grave but the graves are not marked so i have no clue where the graves are and i loose my 100 nanites everytime.
