This is true FSD at its techno best. What a lovely drive. Pity about the stop on yellow in intersection. I've seen that couple times before so I'm sure that will be being worked on. Truly fantastic progress this last year. Thanks for posting, enjoyed this a lot.

For the most part, the FSD was as good or little more precise and consistent than a human driver. There was, however, little traffic to put it to the test during this trial. So I am looking forward to more challenging test drives. Thanks for the video.

The FSD is excellent! Regarding the left turn on yellow scenario. The car should WAIT before going into the intersection. It may not get a chance to turn at all. Leading into the intersection is dangerous. In fact, I would even have the car avoid left turns on green (without a green arrow), those turns will always be dangerous in cities, even for humans they're dangerous.

He’s got a special bets and lives in an area where this is permitted. If you watch me do this where I live it’s just a 10 minute video of butt puckering. I have to take over way too often or I have to accelerate for it then of course it gets out of hand and I have to take control. The amount of times I have to take control is not worth the 200.00 a month for most drivers, not even close. I just have extra money and like to put my life on the line for others. This guy is in self driving city so again it’s not a good representation. I plan to do a full length un-edited actual drive outside of San Francisco.

@@nightwing8666 I own it and use it and in my area the older version that is kind of the gold standard outside of certain areas isn’t doing that great. I’ve nearly died several times…. I spend countless hours driving and also sim racing to keep my reflexes up but if I didn’t have that reaction time I’d have at a bare minimum driven down a fairly steep incline. Likely not harmed but the car would be a bit messed up. I don’t even want to talk about how it acts on a green left hand turn where you still have to yield… I’m not sure it knows the difference between a solid green or an arrow indicating that I have full right of way. I have camera gear coming and will offer my own counterpoints as I’m well aware of how to repeat the dangerous things it does. Only one of those issues has been resolved in 8 months of testing. :/

In this demo, the pedestrian situations where the FSD "offset" to buffer, there was no object or vehicle in the way of doing that, but I wonder what choice the software makes when there are multiple unexpected intrusions at once coming from different angles, or when it needs to accommodate a pedestrian but there are no good options to do so... as others commented, it would be nice to see more complex and dynamic scenarios.

Let's not forget that FSD never used to do a full stop at stop signs until Tesla was called on it, because that's breaking the law. But why aren't your hands on the wheel? Tesla says that your hands are supposed to be on the wheel at all times to be ready to take over for safety. And pedestrians always have the right of way. So creeping out to communicate to them that you want to go, is something you shouldn't do. Why the heck did you just stop in the middle of the road at the end of your destination? Get out of the road for other drivers!

@@nightwing8666 Even with human drivers and pedestrians it is all about a mutual respect, otherwise cars would never pass some intersections. The car stopped and when pedestrians stopped it started to creep forward, but if they would move on, it would obviously stop. The girl stopped and father nodded to him that he can go, so this situation was handled briliantly.
