Very impressive, I only spotted 2 super brief interactions with the car to change lanes and another to continue through an unprotected left. FSD is getting so close to being able to ride share autonomously!
I saw the interaction to change lanes, I missed the unprotected left. One additional interaction I noticed was that when the car pulled into the hotel Omar had to drop the cruise control speed setpoint quickly.
I saw the 17:32 intervention to lower speed. Can others list the timestamps of the others? I didn't see them. That was an amazingly good drive. Can't wait.
His experience is not normal, other areas is no where near as good. I even have next release of v11.3.4 and it will likely be 3 to 4 weeks before Tesla engineers fix the map data in my area.
I’ve still noticed that on many left hand turns, FSD will try to slightly (or in some cases majorly) cut the corner, which is totally fine-it’s what most human drivers would do-except when there’s a car approaching opposite direction in the other lane, instead of seeing it early and adjusting appropriately, FSD tends to see the approaching car midway through the left corner-cutting turn, and then make a “dive out of the way” maneuver to avoid. You can see a very subtle example of this behavior at 2:05, although often times it’s not subtle at all and requires an immediate intervention by the human babysitter.
I think it was just going from left lane to middle lane to make it easier to take the rightmost lane to facilitate the upcoming right turn 2-3 minutes after, and it does it before intersections to leave the left/right lanes for those who want to turn left/right. But you might have a point, nonetheless!
Just got my v11.3.3 this morning. So far I like it. I drive Uber part-time in Canada. We have no right turns on Red, but the car can't read the sign, so it tries to go anyway and I have to disengage. Once Tesla opens up enough Superchargers I will no longer feel the need to be loyal to Tesla.
That was something I thought about during the video, because this "approval" to go right on red isn't something global or even in the entire country. This is something that Tesla needs to address in the software with specific toggles/settings like: "stop at all red lights" or maybe even download a country's specific set of traffic rules, so it auto adjusts to each location
I believe that Tesla would never be an issue when it comes to using FSD. The problem is that there are some city where they don’t take care of the roads which aren’t fit enough for TESLA vehicles. Here in Boston, we have a lot of roads with no lane marks but lot of potholes.

CyberLyft has been doing these FSD drives test for over a year. My testing of v11.3.4 is it’s not ready for Rideshare. Some flaws I have found is after pulling out from a driveway you almost always have to come to a stop before it can be engaged. 99.9% of the time while driving on roads near me fail to allow engaging while in motion. Several times it has stopped on a right turn that has a no stop merge lane. Coming out of a no stop merge lane 80% of the time it actually crosses the white lane into other lane of traffic coming from other direction. In exiting highway it straddles a divided lane instead of getting in proper lane around a corner. They need to build the map data to fix all these issues as instead of using Vision like they say this behavior clearly indicates they are clearly using map data to handle vision shortcomings. Each version also seems wipe out previous map data. After a few weeks they should have enough map data to push map fixes for these bugs.

Also there is huge difference in your version that everyone else. It allows you to not keep your hands on the steering wheel. Everyone else has about 30 seconds to occasionally 45 seconds before being prompted to put hands on steering wheel.
The real success come when it KNOWS it is able to speed up or slow down rapidly to avoid a sudden real accident in real time such as an on coming car or people.
i love this video 'cause i also can hear some questions from your passengers and your answers. it really makes the video more enlightening! thank you! 🤗
Did Scuber as side gig for 5 years. This was pretty impressive. As a driver, picking up passengers often involves having to play by ear the best places exactly where to stop, pull over, park or even swing around depending on the circumstances. You can’t stop and block traffic to wait in most cases. So when riders aren’t already standing right there waiting, as in most cases with riders, it will have to learn what to do.
Imagine a fleet of self driving cars belonging to the city and not to individuals and you could eliminate all cars parked in the streets, plant trees, put up benches and let kids play. Or everyone of us could own a tesla.
Does Tesla FSD nag less in San Francisco? No blue screen reminders on the entire trip. Enquiring minds want to know. 🙂 I'm also curious about how you have your FSD settings configured? Lane change read really smooth behind that truck.

Great video. But I'm wondering why your car doesn't give you the "hands on the wheel" warning that I get in mine (a MS). I don't think I saw your hands stray to the wheel even once!
Loving this video, this will be me in less than a few months from now, rideshares, deliveries. Though in Canada. Thanks for sharing your experience using FSD with ridesharing. :)
Great to hear the Scots passengers and their amazement. Americans get early access to this exciting tech compared to the rest of the world, must catch the uninitiated out :)
I also have the latest FSD version in my Model Y, but I do not understand why the driving experience in this video is so much better than with mine on Long Island. In this video not once did I see the car nagging him to touch the steering wheel. I can not go more than a couple of miles without this request. My car also does not drive as smooth. My car frequently hits the brakes near the end of the stop. I prefer to stop with only regen. It is often jerky when making turns in an intersection.

What Tesla is doing is just great. Letting people take a controlled risk to improve their software on the go. No other manufacturer does involve it's customers like that
Why do you not need to touch the steering wheel? Normally teslas require that.
Maybe you can disable that alert thing
Nice video, curious how did you connect your Tesla navigation to the uber navigation ?
Hi, wondering why no FSD nag for you. It would be great if you can answer. My FSD v11.3.3 nags, reduced the frequency though.
Also there is huge difference in your version that everyone else. It allows you to not keep your hands on the steering wheel. Everyone else has about 30 seconds to occasionally 45 seconds before being prompted to put hands on steering wheel.
FSD was good, the conversation was excellent 😊
The real success come when it KNOWS it is able to speed up or slow down rapidly to avoid a sudden real accident in real time such as an on coming car or people.
Wow! Omar, keep doing these! This is the way.
Thank you for sharing , that was a fun drive in the city ❤ All Tesla models offer this extra software in the cars right ?
"None of these driverless cars now" hahahaha perfect timing
Good lord lady at 5:30 can't get her words out o.O lololol
Would be nice to know what the pick-up and destination spots were at the start of ride.
Ayy That’s My auntie and Uncle! :) Knew it as soon as I heard them 🏴
Love the Video
Surprised to hear my family 😂
i love this video 'cause i also can hear some questions from your passengers and your answers. it really makes the video more enlightening! thank you! 🤗
Wow, impressive. Robotaxi seems closer than I thought.
This is so cool! I wish it was in my price range! I’m in a wheelchair so this would be great for me!
Did they get rid of the wheel nag? I'm like half way into the video and not a single blue nag
Do more of these, Omar! ❤ it.
Amazing! Also the passenger's voice remind me of a EP commentator for some reason.
Imagine a fleet of self driving cars belonging to the city and not to individuals and you could eliminate all cars parked in the streets, plant trees, put up benches and let kids play.
Or everyone of us could own a tesla.
Best video venture ever! make money + get entertaining feedback + spread the word + youtube views
Does Tesla FSD nag less in San Francisco? No blue screen reminders on the entire trip. Enquiring minds want to know. 🙂
I'm also curious about how you have your FSD settings configured? Lane change read really smooth behind that truck.
Why don't you hold the steering wheel, can you adjust it in the settings?❤
awesome video. Please do more. I'm hoping sooner rather than later, my tesla will drop off my son for all his activities and bday parties rather than me!
The Scottish passengers were thinking we need one of these back in Glasgow...
I have seen many in Glasgow but I am not sure if they are full Driver-Less.
If you would only do it for the comments of the passengers it's already gold👍👍👍👍👍👍
wrgg
this is incredible! please do more ride sharing videos like this..
Great video. But I'm wondering why your car doesn't give you the "hands on the wheel" warning that I get in mine (a MS). I don't think I saw your hands stray to the wheel even once!
Brilliant. Hopefully only perhaps a year before I get it in the UK. Love to know how you got around the nag.
Maybe he touched it at the bottom just out of view, because I didn’t see a little weight behind the wheel’s spoke?
It is hilarious how we as the general public and drivers are teaching the Tesla, our job autonomous taxi here we go
Loving this video, this will be me in less than a few months from now, rideshares, deliveries. Though in Canada. Thanks for sharing your experience using FSD with ridesharing. :)
This becomes like aircrafts. You set up the autopilot, destination and there you go.
What a bummer that I live in Germany. We’ve got no fsd, we’ve got no Uber. I swear, I’d do this all day.
We sure have Uber, but no fsd that’s correct.
@@stefan4077 Uber in Germany is an Abklatsch seiner Selbst. It has nothing to do with the real Uber in the US
Great channel thanks! Did you not show the sharing of the destination location with the Tesla app? Or is it automatic now? Cheers! 😊
Excellent video with top-notch passengers, I hope you tipped THEM =)
Great to hear the Scots passengers and their amazement.
- Mom, where did the car go?
_ Oh, she went to change her oil. She had it on the schedule.
- Ok...can u call and ask her to bring me a hot taco on her way back?
- Sure honey😊
How are you able to keep your hands off the wheel? Or do you have it in the lower portion of the wheel.
This is very impressive - I have ignore FSD videos for over a year since the progress seem stuck but this is real progress - FSD is here!
Food for thought, what would the automated software do in a state of emergency where there's irregular traffic flow, sich as escape from a phenomena such as tornado or earthquake scenarios or just a rowdy street due to emergency.
I want to understand if Its already exposed to such limits??
