Like how you cut the thread with you and your partner when you got to know their reality.....i also have emotionally unavailable, narcissist, gaslighting, emotionally abusive , manipulative parents, i recognise it, but still it just takes my heart out to cut the thread with them cause i have always been a parents pleasing girl and now that i realised they has tried to manipulate me all these years its just getting too hard for me to accept the reality and affecting my behaviour relationship with everyone around me.
