I'm currently in a LDR tomorrow Feb 4 we will have 5 months. I have to say that I've struggled so many times as we have a 12 hour difference so this has been challenging. I thank you for these tips.. Most of them we have accomplished as praying for each other. I certainly hope we make a dream come true!! ❤
This is so helpful. I'm in a LDR and we are going into our 9th month. I love him with all my heart, but this is so hard some days. We are both trying, but I definitely needed this motivation. Thank you❤
last time I had a long distance relationship my mom said it's just a friendship cause you don't see each other so there goes my family's support out the window lol
I was recently praying about my relationship with a female friend of mine to progress in one way or another.. A few days of praying later, I saw a RUclips short about long distance relationships. I had heard of them before but that sparked something in me to go looking for more. Your video has helped me understand what the commitment would be. She’s the most Godly woman in my life and I would love to spend my the rest of my life with her.. Now to see what she thinks.
How to survive in a long-distance relationship: 1) communicate every single day 2) communicate first thing in morning and last thing at night 3) make each other a priority 4) communicate expectations 5) make fun date nights - be creative virtually 6) be exclusive, be committed 7) read a book together, then discuss it 8) make plans to see each other as often as you can 9) involve your family & friends for support system 10) make them your wallpaper or screensaver on phone to see their face every day 11) pray for each other often 12) pray with each other
My boyfriend of 4 1/2 years will be moving states away to be with his son. We are in our 40s. He’s worth the wait. I adore him. It’s going to be around 2 years of waiting.
Hey Kendra! Thank you so much for making this video! I met someone this summer and we both have a great conection. I was never ever a fan of LDR but I truly see how patient and kind the guy is with me and I can see how committed he is to continuing this relationship. Your video really helps and makes me realize that it's worth it. May God bless you and your husband 🤍
being prayerful is the key ❤️🙏🏻 i love her and it is worth to change my whole life, to be with her. to let my second half fall to be one with her. thats a great point from the video and so true to me. this emotional thriving is keeping every thing together. so work, save enough money, learn her language. use the technology by texting in speed of light throug the world together, being humbe and very important maybe the most, be compassionful. solve problems amd talk as much as you can together about the day, send photos, selfies, videocalls. stay always connectet. Recognize yourselves as husband and wife. Show her or him that he or she is. take a break, tell them everything that happend. no no secrets!
I’m elderly and have a long distance relationship. W talk every day and visit when we can. We’re 1000 miles apart. Some of your tips we already do but your other tips are helpful.
I'm grateful that we are in the same time zone and can talk and see each other regularly. I have experienced some of what you spoke about as far as feeling disconnected. We make it a priority to talk to each other first thing in the morning and pray with each other. It works.
This is so compelling. I'm in a three month long distance relationship. Wished I had seen this before I started because I was doubtful it could work. But the daily talking first in, last out began to cement a relationship. It compelled conversations and those led to just revealing more about our characters. And not in an interview type way but just organically and I can tell she needs this to build real trust.
I love these tips. So good. Especially involving family somehow and praying for and with them. That creates an amazing friendship and bond. I would even say, especially as a Christian, do a Bible study with them
I think going in the with no expectations on either end has kept me and my boyfriend from having many fights I think it is a good tule to follow for every relationship not just romantic ones
Thank you for this Kendra this is perfect timing! Sadly my previous ltr didn't work out for reasons... but I've unexpectedly met someone who is a state over from me and doing an even longer distance than before is a little daunting but I believe it's worth it and these tips are so helpful, also knowing you guys endured despite the challenges. Man it's hard but it causes you to lean heavily on the Lord ❤️
I was also in a long distance relationship before I met Nick, and that one obviously didn’t work out, but now way after the fact I can see why God let that relationship end and brought about a MUCH better one❤️❤️
That's encouraging to know and honestly I do not regret the lessons learned and love shown, I keep praying for wisdom and know God will direct my paths. It's obvious He brought you and Nick together in a sweet way and it must have been so hard with the distance but knowing you would put that effort in for eachother is something special and truly helps build trust I think. 💗 Praying continued peace for your heart in your season preparing for being a Mom 🤗
I'm a few months into a ldr, 2.5 hours away and it's going OK but we see each other for a short while say every few weeks so far. Not ideal. We do text every day and occasionally call in between our meetings. We've met a total of 4 times only for around 1-2 days each. I like her enough to keep this going but do worry.
Thank you for this video! :) in one of your tips, gave me a great reminder to pray for and with my boyfriend! not only because im in a long distance relationship but also because we have things to work on before we decide to get married!

I feel like the relationship would be easier had he had a car but I’ve visited him a couple of times. It’s like every time I go see him and I’m with him I don’t wanna leave.

Trust in the lord for he is grasouse and loving, he will never let us down, be hurt, injured , he is the protector of all his children.
This is timely I just began “getting to know” someone who lives 2 hrs away. And even tho that’s not a super far drive it’s still long distance and already takes lots of planning.
Totally get it!! Once Nick moved closer, he was still a couple hours away, and it’s definitely harder to plan! We would try and see each other at least once a week, which was helpful!

They seemed annoyed but never gave me the specifics so I was just confused the whole time because nothing I tried seemed to solve their concerns

@Collen-Pearce Hi , mind asking you these questions ? Have you ever met ? Do you face time or chat regularly? Do you both share the same or similar beliefs, values, etc Is either one of you ever afraid of conflict? Who is willing to make the effort to cross the continent to meet ? Are you willing to be physically intimate? If not , is he willing to wait until you are ready ? Does either one of you have trust issues ? If so , please do address them . And gal, if your gut instinct ever tells you something is not right , step back or talk it out . Never be afraid to speak your mind but do remember to be respectful. It goes both ways .
