I'm a former dancer (an autoimmune disease that attacks my muscles has slowed me way down) and I first noticed his killer facial expressions in S-Class. Then I started to realize my eyes went to him every time he danced. He just stands out. And that's saying something because they're all so good. His style is impossible to look away from when he's in that zone.
I first saw Hyunjin in the Thunderous video and his face was imprinted in my mind as different from other faces. I didn't know Stray kids, I didn't know K-pop, I wanted to know who this person was. He impressed me with his talent, character, personality and brought me into the fandom.I admire Hyunjin, adore him, love and support him all this time❤
One critique i have for this video is that they emphasize his style so much, but his technique is impeccable and perfect. He literally trained at the Performing Arts school to make sure of that, its the deadly mix of technique and style that really makes him so striking
Whenever i see him on stage or at a performance, i just can't take my eyes off of him. He captures my attention from the second he appears and, after that, it's like there is no one else around him 😊 it is rare to find an artist like that, that is why i love and admire him so much!
Another dancer said he's special because he's so good at using masculine and feminine movements at the same time and fluidly from one to the other which you see in his playing with fire and her biggest one to point out is his whirlwind in thunderous which he only does. She said it's hard to marry a feminine style up top while having a masculine style at the bottom and you really have to have a controlled core to do that and he does it. Also like taemin he's altered some of his dance at times to be that of a womans style which makes it satisfying too like usually when men and women spin they do it differently one more on their toes and one more on their heels. Other times he'll take something you think he's thing to do more feminine and do it more masculine which makes it satisfying as well. I don't know what i loved about him at 1st but I just couldn't stop watching him
First draw to stray kids was Felix in Thunderous and learnt more about them from then- their individual background and talents etc. I’m an 50+ year English nurse so literally a world away from SKZ so a deep dive into especially Hyunjin is nothing but amazing. His artistic and caring personality off stage adds to the dramatic effect on stage/screen. He was picked a a visual but created his own unique position in the group, and it’s impossible to imagine SKZ without him. Future idols have alot to live up to now. Thanks for your commentary.

I love how Hyunjin how he puts emotions into his dancing. I connect with him more. He adds sass to the dance moves. I really enjoy watching him dance. I find alot of dancers in kpop dont put emotions into their dancing their faces looks the same way for each song.
