- This is a track that Prince recorded on 3 April 1982 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California and was left unreleased for 29 years due to heavy themes of sexual abuse in the lyrics, until its eventual rerecording and release as a single in 2011 and as an album track on his final album, 2016's HitnRun: Phase Two.
The track has only been leaked through low quality bootleg cassettes, which i have restored to the best quality I can using AI and my own methods.
The track has also been censored in order to keep the content on my platform safe, but for the people that want a download for both the censored and uncensored version, they are both in my Archive.

Remember that this isn’t what Princes vision was, but if you enjoy his work more through the edit I see it as being worth it.
Oh believe me usually I prefer most of his work uncensored (like Darling Nikki and We Can F***) but the brief mentions in this song and Lust U Always are very uncomfortable to me. I understand that times were different but it’s still really iffy to really discuss that

I think that even as taboo as the “rape” line was, this song shows the entire scope of the human psyche: love, sensuality, passion and rage. I think that it’s brilliant and a complete shame that people are so sensitive that they couldn’t just release this masterpiece as it is. But hey, that’s the times where living in. Clown World on steroids! 🙄🤦🏾♂️

Great restoration on these tracks! This is one of my favorites from that amazing 82-83 period. I remember getting a copy of this one on a cheap cd back in 1990 and freaking out! 💜

"Clown World on steroids?" Look, I understand that they were put into a difficult position. If they edited it, they'd compromise the artistic integrity of the track. But, quoting directly, the lyrics "I'm just going to have to rape you. Are you going to get into the tub or do I have to drag you?" read like they came from some tryhard grindcore song.
It's not "Baby, it's cold outside" where the lyrics read as sus in the modern day, even though that probably wasn't the songwriters intention, or a good song by artists who are pieces of shit (Chris Brown or R. Kelly). It's a minute long segment with terrible instrumental where Prince starts explicitly screaming about raping the listener. You play that in the club and the whole place will go frigid. It aged like hot milk.
No one's being overly sensitive in thinking it should've been left off the album. Sure, it would've been nice to have it restored, because without that part the song is a total banger, and it'd be easy to edit the track yourself. Put in fade out, or even do as the uploader has done and take the vocals for that part out with AI.
It's not exactly easy to groove to a song with a "rape interlude". There's no escaping that it's an unfortunate piece from the past, and I think even Prince realised that, given the rape part is entirely lacking from the 2011 version.
Not you romanticizing rape. “It shows the entire scope of the human psyche” lol Prince could sing about pedophilia and some people would find a way to intellectualize it.

This is the correct speed I believe, it’s the same speed as the 2011 version and the vocals sound like prince rather then Camille 😂, if you aren’t satisfied I have downloads to both the censored & uncensored versions so you can speed it up to your liking.

Only ai in this was the splitting of the track into stems and enhancing of the high ends in the vocal, with the drums being recreated with a Linn-drum emulator. Everything else is 100 percent prince’s original demo.
