well I liked them, Alien3 show us what no one wants to see... It is sad, and depressing, but, some times, it is about facing reality. They died. That is life. PD: Hicks is a beautiful character. One to be remembered (but, the same I can say about Vasquez, Bishop and Hudson)
Isn’t Hicks alive? I read somewhere that In canon from the comics or the shitty game that came out a few years ago that he’s alive. Newt was also brought back but I believe she died again.
I crack up when ripley is leaving to save newt hicks shoots himself up with morphine and is just high as shit the last two times we seen him “yeah we ant going nowhere “ as he nods out putting a bandage to face and then he’s out cold the rest of the movie
Excellent editing! Each visual matches thematically or aesthetically with the song and how it plays. Love the slow build-up at the beginning, then when it kicks off and we get the scene of the alien grabbing the door...oh I got chills. Honestly the ONLY thing I could think of to make it better is when the lyrics "Blow me away" came up, you showed the bit where he blasts an alien's head open after shoving his shotgun into its mouth
Also crazy that Michael Biehn was somehow never able to break through to the A-list and able to choose his own projects when you consider much of his resume. He was a lead in "Terminator" which was considered a groundbreaking Sci fi film....a lead in "Aliens" a groundbreaking action Sci fi and one of the first sequels able to match or surpass love for the original amongst critics and fans alike ....was the primary antagonist in the "Abyss", a film that set a bar for all visual effects....was the primary antagonist in one of,if not the best western in the past 60 years, amongst a deep ensemble of actors have all matched or exceeded his status of celebrity.....had a substantial role in one of Michael Bay's first huge budget, highly grossing summer blockbusters in the "Rock", was the male lead opposite Demi Moore in her first starring role in the "Seventh sign". He has obviously had a ton of other work but those were examples of his roles ....where any one sounds like the type of circumstance that many equally or less talented actors have been in that suddenly catapulted them into the stratosphere! I think there are two key factors which determined the way things played out for my childhood idol, whom I will always appreciate! The first is the fact that almost all of his roles..... actually all ....have been in films in a niche category such as sci fi or action where the acting is not something that is leaned upon for the success of the film and being competent is good enough for so many films that fall into these categories! Unless someone is noticeably terrible, the special effects and pacing will carry the story along and there often isn't enough written for any of the characters to flex their skill! Also, something he has said he regrets and rightfully so is the fact that he didn't like appearing on interviews so he used to pass on doing them as well as press in general! I can understand not liking it, but if you want certain things that is very much a necessity of the business..... especially back in the days before the internet. If you didn't take the very few and highly valuable/covered opportunities like late night interviews w/Letterman or Leno or answer the magazine questions.... literally the ONLY other way anyone would know anything about you is if you happened to meet them in person and speak to them! That is alot more time consuming and something tells me that if you didn't like or felt awkward talking to David Letterman...than you wouldn't be in a hurry to have a heart to heart at the post office w/some random person! You also need to strike while the iron is hot to another iron plugged in! Being in the Terminator is why they want you on these shows.....if a year later, you haven't been in anything else, they aren't ringing your phone off the hook to hear about how your kids are or if you had a good Thanksgiving! They do that after you are a household name....which you only become by jumping through all the stupid hoops! In my opinion , I think Michael Biehn is talented and has looks enough to be where so many w/less of either or both are! He should have maximized his career success at least to an end of generational wealth, because he had the opportunity to do so and those opportunities are rare! Not everyone wants celebrity, which is totally understandable, however everyone does want security and peace of mind! Obviously, I doubt his family has ever struggled but only the naive or those that have never been in the union or experienced a producer/financier haggle and cut corners on the on screen talent, while they waste money elsewhere, thinks he is a rich man. You would be surprised how many think that I have money that I have only dreamed about simply because I have appeared in no budget film , television guest spots as rare as those are now and failed pilots. So I can only imagine what they think an actor w/as stacked a resume as Michael Biehn's! I think that like all of us, he lived in the moment as a young man and booking his iconic roles and when things are that good you over estimate your value and can't imagine things changing. Yet as you mature and especially after having a family that depend on you, you start to prioritize things totally differently and your stances on things change, even if your true feelings conflict. I think that is why he mentioned his regrets w/interviews etc. He has done some producing and directing of small projects, I read so I wish him mega success. It does worry me that he was using it as a vehicle for his new wife, which is a red flag.....but maybe she is wildly talented and not using him to bankroll his retirement/credit on her own agenda! I certainly hope so and M.B should be savvy to all the tricks w/all his experience in the industry! Especially w/how Bill Paxton died so young, it makes you truly appreciate the talented actors who were the faces in our favorite films and w/us our entire lives! Michael Biehn is one of the leads there for me ...and you or you wouldn't be reading this ! Thanks to all of them and to you for understanding those feelings too!😉🤩
Crazy that Michael Biehn was the emergency backup for the role and that they even started shooting w/the other actor! Well, Tom Brady was a backup and the Patriots had started the season w/the other QB as well! Drew Bledsoe and James Remar are both very talented at what they do/did.....but only a fool would argue that the right guy didn't end up w/the job!
ALIEN 5 WOOOO So Hyped! Hope Hicks Doesn't Bite The Dust...Again Anyway If He Does A:CM Makes Him Permanently Alive Because That WON'T Be Getting A Sequel AND I Have A Question What If They Made AvP 4 With Hicks As The Main/Playable Marine THAT Would Be AMAZING Anyway Incredible Vid Captures Hicks Style,Personality,Badassness Perfectly Have A Merry Christmas!
+Gerald Schafer I think Fox Confirmed that it wasn't him on Fury it was someone entirely different just looked similar I heard that on the Angry Joe Review of A:CM
Kerri Oakenshield The new Aliens movie is getting rid of the last 2. It'll be a direct sequel where Hicks and Ripley both survive. I don't know about Newt.
God I hope that don't make Alien 5 another shitty try hard feminist movie. Here's to them taking direction from a REAL feminist figure like Ripley (Weaver) and not being so try hard like a plethora of other movies. And actually pay homage instead of lip service to a great character like Hicks.
one of my favorite movie soldiers ever - cool headed intelligent brave just as ripley ... what an awesome movie
+Otori Springer Thank you Im glad you liked it :)
it's too bad they threw him and newt away in alien 3
Actually.... Hicks is alive and yes in actual canon :)
Wait. What??? Are you screwing with me?? Hicks was my boy!!!
I could not agree more. He was the ideal soldier, possibly without equal.

Wonderful tribute to Cpl. Hicks/ Michael Biehn . Excellent editing!
Michael Biehn kicked so much ass as Corporal Hicks in Aliens and he was a true badass 😁
I don't care about Aliens 3----Hicks lives! And so does Newt!
Exit Only I am so sorry for the late response I have been so busy with work and school. Yeah the third one sucked and so did the fourth one

"EAT THIS"- Shotgun Hicks
Michael Biehn is the dream of every woman.
love it! Hicks is the ultimate Colonial Marine!
he's a good commander but not the best Marine
Vasquez was my favorite but honestly hicks was the ultimate marine...he's my twin brothers favorite and I totally see why
Love this man. Perfect actor for the character. I want more
There's a book coming out that's a novelization of the alien 3 script that was never made. Hoping this means Hicks will be around to kick more ass.
Song from my fav band from one of my fav movies about one of the coolest movie characters.
I crack up when ripley is leaving to save newt hicks shoots himself up with morphine and is just high as shit the last two times we seen him “yeah we ant going nowhere “ as he nods out putting a bandage to face and then he’s out cold the rest of the movie
Love this video, hicks is amazing on so many levels

are you talking about the first avp movie that was absolute garbage?
Eric Newbury I’ve been saying this for years
Ripley is the only feminist role I’ve seen that’s believable and not shoved down your throat
Alien 3 is Shit Rip Hicks and newt ☹️😥
