I've been a huge Aliens fan since 1986 when it came out. I know just about everything there is about the movie. I came across this video YOU made and I have to say its spectacular. The music catches the emotions and feel of the build up and the combat with the Xenos. I think of this song every time I watch certain portions of the film. Thank you for making such a powerful and nice video clip!
one of my all time favorite movies. did u guys know that their guns were Thompson sub-machines guns with a Remington 870 pump shotgun dressed up and the other one that Drake and Vasquez had were German MG 42 machine guns attached to camera suspension booms
The mags had to be retrieved from all marines because firing their pulse rifles and smart guns under those facilities was extremely dangerous. That wasn't explained by gorman, so Vazquez and Drake used their hidden mags, shot their smart guns and that actually provoked the explotion near the movie's end.
What she said was "What do those guns fire?" & when Gorman answered she told him "Well look where your team is, they're right under the primary heat exchangers". Gorman said "So?" Ripley answered "So if they have to fire in there won't that set off the..." & Burke interrupted & said "she's absolutely right." When Gorman said again "So?" Burke explained that the structure was like one big fusion reactor, so "we're talking thermonuclear explosion, & adios muchachos".
those Marine fell victim not to the Aliens, but to an inexperienced and headstrong Platoon Commander. There is a reason when I was in the Corps that I would prefer my platoon would get three new PFCs versus one new Platoon Commander. The PFCs know they know nothing. The Platoon Commander sometimes thinks he knows everything and really knows nothing.
+m3017co true, but the biggest factor was the location: Gorman should have told Apone about the nest being right at the heat exchanging units and the danger of firing weapons in there instead of having everyone stripped of their magazines.
2/2 R: "You sent them to that ship. I just checked the colony log: Directive dated 6-12-79, signed Buerke, Carter J. Why you didn't warn them?" B: "What if that ship didn't even exist? If a make a major security situation out of it, everybody steps in and there's no exclusive rights for anybody. So I made a decision and it was wrong. It was a baaaad call". R: "These people are dead Burke! I'm gonna make sure they nail you right to the wall". Told you.
Yeah, the Alien-Movies are true classics, and "Aliens" is one of my favorite movies. But I know alot of people who haven't seen the film or never heard about the Aliens! I mean, they're iconic movie-monsters, you should atleast know how they look like! lol By the way, kickass video and great song, 5/5 stars!
***** till this day i always wondered what if they kept him alive till the medical room showdown.. would it have made a difference??.. we will never know
***** I found Hudson to be a bit of a bitch. Yeah he did the passed off marine thing before he died, but that did not make up for the following line: "That's it. Game over, man! GAME OVER!"
diuleiloumo chaohai Remember, there is nothing deadlier than a marine and his rifle. The fight in medical would have been different with even one more marine there.
My dad was a corporal in the Corps, and I just hope and pray that it continues to exist for another two hundered years and still have its gung ho, kick the enemy in the head attitude
Wasnt born in the 80's but everything you just described brought back memories. Also i cant believe all of the comments of people saying this movie sucks. = (
I like the whole idea that no matter how good or advanced you think you are there is always something waiting in the wings. Kinda like Vegas from a money point of view. I think thats what makes this film classic.
agreed best movie ever. been at my number 1 since it came out. gotta get it on bluray. AVP should of been set straight after this with the marines fighting for survival against both, oh how that would of rocked. GAME OVER MAN.
it was stated in the movie that the reactor was 100% automated. so yes, in 2-5 years without maintance it would have blown but it was regulating itself.
A small budget movie compared to today's mega budgets, with relatively unknown actors, a handful of rubber Alien suits, and not one bit of CGI. Yet many have tried, and none have yet to match, much less improve upon, Aliens 2, as the number one kick-butt action sci-fi movie. It has no equal like it in the cinema.
@ZenWired If I'm right there was a scene when Frost was handing the Marines weapons before they were ready to drop onto the planet, on the gun rack there were some weapons that appeared to be m16's, or older rifles, nothing like the ones the marines were carrying.
Was absolutely gutted when Drake bought it in Aliens, he was by FAR the most kick ass marine. Think he should have gotten a bit more screen time instead of being weakly killed off with an acid spray. The teamwork aspect between Vasquez and Drake was one of the most watchable and interesting concepts.
You know what would really kick ass? An Aliens game done with the COD4 engine. Imagine how good the multiplayer would be. Kick ass video by the way. Hicks FTW!!!
@halorecon32: Not quite: AK47's fire 7.62mm rounds & M16's fire 5.56mm rounds; the M41-A in Aliens is said to fire 10mm rounds (and have an over- and under-barrel 30mm grenade launchers). Presumably, the M41-A mags stagger the ammo more, thus the relatively similar mag sizes. Also, weapon damage is about more than ammo caliber - it's also about things like ammo mass & hardness, charge weight, etc. (E.g., the tumbling M16 round causes at least as much tissue damage as the larger AK47 round.)
Don't forget that the ammo bag blew up, turning nearly the entire place into flames. I think that's what damaged it. Not to mention when the dropship blew crashed, I think it nipped part of the reactor.
Man i would pay ANY price to get their gear and that friggin awesome M41-A Pulse Rifle. Man they have the most high tech gear like that thing that goes over your eye and tells you the distance, and where things are and danger zones, and their awesome armor that is bullet proof. But man oh man, if i got my hands on to a M41-A Pulse Rifle, i would not let go of it for a day. Electronic meter tells you how much ammo you have left and flamethrower and under mounted grenade launcher? Pure Awesomeness
Top tier RUclips video still holds up after all these years
It’s like going back in time... I miss the 2000s

And thanks to the movie, a lot of videogames came years later, with the USCMC.
Fantastic! Loved this the way it was put together - Aliens - my all time favourite film! Thank you for sharing this xx
Best aliens movie and perfect music.
Some background on Vasquez: she was a member of a Los Angeles street-gang, and both her and Drake were conscripts from juvenile prison.

this video is so great! the shooting and the killing is so wicked! also the music
The pulse rifle, their armor, the ship pretty much sums it all up.
Sweet song, Awesome movie.
I love this moove
Thank you James Cameron, for making this possible!!
Scenes are from Aliens (1986, James Cameron,Writer,Director, Producer), The Lady with the Minigun is Vasquez(Jenette Goldstein)
Interesting choice of music. This was on the Halo 2 soundtrack, and the marines in Halo were based on the characters from Aliens.
This movie used to SCARE THE SHIT outta me when I was a kid every single time I saw it!
The song is called Blow me away, by Breaking Benjamin.
The music is ace. Totally suits the video!
it was stated in the movie that the reactor was 100% automated. so yes, in 2-5 years without maintance it would have blown but it was regulating itself.
And that whistle has officially broken the sound barrier. Congratulations, you're a regular Sherlock Holmes.

EPIC!!!!
man those big ass smart guns own so much
Man i would pay ANY price to get their gear and that friggin awesome M41-A Pulse Rifle.
