    Yeah, again, just to nicely clear up anything's you guys may have misunderstood:
    1)The flying Nomu was indeed bleeding from Endeavor's god-like fire bolt (so dope), causing the woman to be covered in its blood, allowing the Nomu to be paralyzed by Stain.
    2) That weird red/glowing aura around Stain that made everyone seemed to be paralyzed was nothing quirk related, but just his pure vocal conviction. Stain in-universe is a very commanding, endearing, and charismatic figure, easily able to have his words carry meaning and gravitas. Everyone freezing in place was out of pure trepidation and unease thanks to his mere presence. I mean, the guy's been killing and paralyzing heroes left and right, of course, people would fear him.
    3) Stain does not consider himself a hero and does not do his job killing people in order to tell people to also kill heroes. You might just learn a little bit more about his motivations in the future to help clear things up about his goals and ambitions. Just understand that he wants to create a more just society with fewer heroes doing hero work just for fame and glory. (He considers the likes of Endeavor to be the prime example of a hero not truly embodying what it means to be righteous and to serve your fellow man.
    4) Stain freezing in place had nothing to do with his or anyone's quirk. He literally passed out standing up from the pain of his rib piercing his lung. Internal bleeding was probably present, but it's not like he literally had his power turned on him accidentally. How long could you stay conscious with one of your organs pierced after having your ass kicked in a bit?
    5) Stain was defeated because he was outnumbered while making some sloppy moves to wrap things up fast, and because he was not trying to actually kill Deku and (questionably) Todoroki, just Iida and Native, as he considered them fakes.

    The thing that needs to be remembered about Stain is that he only cares about true heroes and making a society where more people strive to be true heroes like All Might and Deku.
    Iida's brother is a hero not because he has a deep desire to save people, but because it's what is expected of him and it's the right thing to do, this comes through in everything he says to Iida in the flashbacks.
    To Stain, this makes him a false hero, like probably most of hero society as they're generally heroes for every other reason than simply to save lives, if your sole driving force is not to save people above all else like Deku & All Might, then you need to stop being a hero, or just die.
    This means, someone like Endeavor, who is undoubtedly a great hero, is a huge target for Stain's hatred because ultimately all Endeavor cares about is surpassing All Might. Which makes him anything but a true hero. As far as Stain is concerned, if you aren't by default a "true" hero, you'll never be able to become one.
    I know it's easy to be like "YEAH FUCK HIM UP". But the point of the Stain arc is to make you start wondering about the nature of Hero society, if you haven't already given it a thought.
    We've had hints here and there all throughout the series up to this point including the issues with how students are judged to be suitable for UA, the Hero society being deeply flawed, selfish and shallow has been a constant thing in the background up to now (For example the number 2 Hero having a history of abusing his wife and child).
    So, while Stain is undoubtedly flawed in his beliefs. Is he evil? Is he right? Is he wrong?

    • @thelegacyofgaming2928
      @thelegacyofgaming2928 5 лет назад +47

      Well Stain is still a clear villain because even if the heroes have other motivations, they still save lives. So killing those heroes or disabling them only makes the world more unsafe, while also punishing those who are saving lives.
      Imagine if someone decided you should die because you go to work to get paid and not because you genuinely like the job you're doing. That's definitely a villain.

      @@rafz9147 naaahhh....hes a 100% villain. He still kills perfectly good people, more of the people he goes after are like tensei than endeavor.
      Iidas brother is a noble guy who enjoys saving people and has a good heart, but he apparently deserves to be crippled for life because being a hero wasn't his number one unhealthily all consuming passion like all might or deku? To stain, heroes aren't allowed to also be people which is like....waaaay wrong. He wants them to be all give and no take which doesn't work when you are an actual human being with human needs.

    The Japanese have a great sense of cultural admiration for _competence._ By highlighting Endeavor's competence as a Hero (a net positive to society), it contrasts and weights against his abusive conduct in his private life, to the point where they almost balance each other out to create this conflicting character. I find interesting how a lot of Western fans bemoan the fact that the author of the series seems so 'lenient' on Endeavor, and I believe this might be the biggest reason. If Todoroki's father was a bum in society, an incompetent and useless weight who contributes nothing except to the alcohol industry, this would be a very different story and tone, especially amongst the Japanese audience.

He has no point about hero’s he’s stuck in the past trying to cling to the definition of hero from when it wasn’t a real thing instead of realizing that once it’s a real job it’s meaning has to change. He has no point and he never gives any evidence as to how “fake” hero’s hurt society because their is no evidence. Stain was a masterfully written villain. The society of my hero academia is one where the true meaning of heroism has been lost. Being a hero is doing what is right simply because it's the right thing to do and I think most of us would agree with this sentiment. However, in their world, it's merely a means to an end: an occupation where you can make money, I title that grants you status and fame. Stain despises this and what's it to change. He wants to restore the meaning of what it is to be a hero. Stain is only a villain because his method of bringing about that change is killing those who he sees as frauds. Those who pervert the meaning of heroism (selfless acts of good). In stains mind tenya is a fraud because he sought his own vengeance rather than trying to rescue native. Had he succeeded, Tenya would have been praised and regarded as a true hero because he captured a murder and undoubtedly made the streets safer. However that isn't why tenya wanted to beat stain. His motivations (while justified IMO) were completely selfish. He wasn't acting as a TRUE hero. He was fraud and therefore must be purged. Stain respects all might and deku because they are true hero's in his view. Time and time again they both act for the sake of good regardless of the risk to themselves for no other purpose than to make the world a better place.
    Then there's the 'endeavor dynamic. I love how most of you saw endeavor working, and went "yah, he is a hero" because this perfectly demonstrates why stain is against this society. People see endeavor killing the nomu and saving pedestrians and just like you guys, regard him as a hero because these actions are good. But what kind of hero exploits his family and mentally abuses them to fulfill his own ambitions? Endeavor isn't a hero because he wants to help people, he's Just in for the glory, to be the number one "hero". He doesn't save people because he cares about them, he doesn't because it'll boost his status. He's no true hero at least I'm the eyes of stain and is undoubtedly on his hit list. But, despite the fact that Endeavor is a terrible person, and his motives are completely selfish, his actions ARE a net positive on society. I mean he stops bad guys and saves lives, so what's the problem right? This dynamic is what makes Endeavor a Great character, and the world of my hero a fascinating one.
    Stains final moments were absolutely stellar. There was a bunch of pro heroes on that street, but the one who came to dekus rescue was Stain. Everyone was caught off guard and therefore hesitated when the nomu came and took deku. But Stain immediately recognized the situation and sprung into action. Without a moments hesitation he acted for the sake of good (saving and innocent) regardless of the risk to himself and despite his critical injuries Just like deku did with bakugo and the sludge monster, and Just like all might did with the first nomu at UA. Now I'm not saying this makes stain a good person, he's still a murder, however in that very moment while the pros stood there gawking, Stain was a hero, a TRUE hero. When this reality set in, it shook everyone to there core as was brilliantly illustrated by the intense crimson aura radiating from Stain. From there his final words before passing out hit them so hard they actually fell to the ground. In those lays moments while the so called "pro heroes" lay there trembling, the hero killer, the monster that is Stain, was the only TRUE hero standing there, in body and spirit.
    P.s. he wasn't paralyzed by his own quirk 😂, Tenya broke his rib with that kick and it punctured his lung. He lost consciousness while still standing

      You dub haters will stretch anything for your obsessive hatred this was an issue of them being stupid ( I offense I love them) not the dub Messing up. They were told literally all of that the broken rib the punctured lung even had deku say a quirk didn’t stop the hero killer. They just didn’t hear or understand that because of their lack of focus or comprehension.
      Todoroki also mentioned that stain was being sloppy and desperate. And even in the sub it’s never said outright that stain is going easy on deku just like here we have to infer that from the details we do get. In conclusion shut up.

Stain has no point I’ve made this argument a million times. He’s essentially their world equivalent of that dude who always complains about wanting to go back to the fifties. He’s stuck in a past definition of hero that just can’t apply anymore becuase it’s a real thing now and not an abstract concept and he never provides even one example of how so called false hero’s hurt society and that’s because their aren’t any (don’t mention endeavor becuase he didn’t hurt society he hurt his family which is a horrible thing he’s hut a private matter.

    Stain was more of an anti-hero. He seemed to have a lot in common with Zabusa from Naruto. Also, personality wise, Endeavor isn't better than him. Stain was only after the people who became hero coz it was cool or went after personal gain and also those who got in the way of his goal to purge such selfish people. The only problem was that he was too extreme but then, even the #2 hero Endeavor is the same way at times. And the own blood licking conclusion? I have no idea how that came up, lol.😆

      Nikhil Jose Prakash stains goal isn’t good though he only thinks it is cause he’s delusional. He never gives any evidence to show how so called fake hero’s hurt society and that’s cause there isn’t any. Having more hero’s hurts nothing and he actually accomplished nothing. Even the drop in crime mentioned is only because him showing up basically activates martial law in that town the hero’s have to patrol so much more trying to find him That other villains decide not to commit crimes until the increased security is removed. Once he’s moved on and the now smaller number of hero’s goes back to normal procedure crime goes right back up to normal. His entire ideology is nonsense and not even close to realistic for the world to survive with.

    • @kamronspencer4910
      @kamronspencer4910 5 лет назад

      Nikhil Jose Prakash how is it no good? They still save lives and capture villains and of course they need to get paid for it because they have to support themselves and their families. Why does it matter why they got into the job? Again your thinking of hero as our worlds definition because hero’s aren’t real here but in my hero’s world hero’s are basically cops (even though cops also exist) you think every single cop got into the job solely to protect people no but as long as they don’t turn dirty or corrupt it doesn’t matter why they did it cause they still keep us safe. Stain has no point in any way.

    A lot of people tend to misinterpret the end of the episode but there was this small part of me that hoped they would catch it since they're watching HXH at the same time where the concept of bloodlust being paralyzing is brought up multiple times. Then again fights also tend to take a really long time in HXH (which isn't a criticism because I like the writing) and Naruto (which is a criticism because that show got boring) so the change in pace probably confused them.
    Also if they feel that they must talk over plot based shows with a lot of narration, they might want to start using subtitles. You can still watch the dub and have subtitles on to not miss any information, it's not one over the other.

But at least its fights aren't solved with protagonist-kun's friendship powers or who can scream louder. Stain's definition of "fake heroes" applies to the heroes that have alot of hype behind their names. He believes that those who work as Heroes to collect income are unworthy of being called the name and only All Might is a true hero. They also seem to mostly care for the popularity that they have, not so much for the people they save. Some of these might include Mt. Lady and Endeavor. In their own rights, Mt. Lady and Endeavor are heroes who have the attitudes of glory-hogging braggarts and attention hogs. Just think back to when Mt. Lady was first introduced in the show and how smug she was when she took all the credit.
    He believes All Might is worthy because All Might genuinely did what he did to save people. To Stain, All Might is the only true hero that exists in the society of My HeroAcademia. He respects All Might to such a degree that he says that All Might is worthy of stopping him. The same can be said for Deku (which is partly why Stain saved Deku).

    The way I explain Stains' killing intent moment to people who don't understand it is that it's essentially the Chaotic version of the way Midoriya sees All Might. You know how we typically see the Number One Hero as this intensely charismatic figure, projecting his feelings of strength and righteousness just by his reputation and physical presence? it's the same thing with Stain, only inverted. His own fanaticism and never-say-die attitude, willing to take on half a dozen heroes (including the Number Two) with nothing more than a switchblade, combined with his roared litany of convictions, stunned everyone into immobility.
