⚠️ 250mp images video: • INSANE 250 Megapixel C...
Much prefer the 85,both great shots ( 85 and 50)but love the closer up image. All beautiful shots and great model too.
I own both but added a 135mm f/1.8 to my collection, love all three of my Art lenses............
I agree with you about the 50. Even 35 is personally my most favourite all purpose focal length, 50 is much versatile. In controlled environments, I can move forward or backward towards the subject / model, to get the looks closer to 85 and 35mm respectively.
50 is the most versatile is good for quiet tight and whole body portrait. with 85 you need some space to make whole body portrait or horizontal half or less body portrait. In open space is not a problem, but make it in the city, in most situation much bettter jest 35+50 than any other opions.
nice to see you making more and more videos these days
Thanks Noe, it's tough to stay consistent sometimes!
Great work with a great model, Bach! Thanks for your insights!
Quite interesting video about the 50 and 85 focal lengths but hate the unnecessary editing which removes character from the face.
For a crop sensor camera would you recommend the 50 over the 85?
If you get 50mm to a crop sensor camera you will have the equivalent of a 75mm to a full frame camera. You can calculate the focal lenght by multiplying the mm of the lens by the crop factor.A 85mm lens equals about 128 mm (85 x 1.5 ) to your camera. My advice is getting a zoom lens, for example 18-250 ,to experiment and finding your style before getting a prime 🙂
I use an 85mm a lot and it works gorgeously. Honestly, if need be you can always move closer or further a few steps with either. Both of these are hella good
are these the art versions?
Really nice pictures. I prefer the 85mm pictures because I like the focus on the model, but the 55mm pictures with the boat look great as well. Greatings from Germany
Thanks for watching Mike!
Which the best for videography 50mm or 85mm?
for me, 50mm is the most reasonable, especially if you use a gimbal, it will be difficult to stabilize the gimbal
@@generasibiru8668 ok thank you for your advice
Which would you say is sharper?
Hi I wanted to ask for advice! I want to get a handyman for my Sony A7iii but I would like some advice between a: sigma 50mm f / 1.4 Tamron 28/75 f / 2.8 Sony 18-105 f / 4.0 I would like to choose one of these, thank you very much in advance 🙏 I hope you answer me
Awesome model and photoshoot.
My favourite is 85 but I’m just thinking to get the sigma art 50mm
what camera you used here ?
i'm considering to buy Sigma 85mm 1.4 art, the main reason is to shoot fashion model for my self. and i have canon 90D. will it work? is it compatible with 90D? thanks plz reply
yes the dg hsm model will work on any canon eos camera
I don't know how many times I've given a similar rant on other vlog sites. If you are reviewing lenses of which there are two versions, e.g. Sigma 50 f1.4 and Sigma 50 f1.4 art, specify which one it is in the title. Like most I am lazy and I prefer not to do detective work to figure out which one it is/was. So I guessed "art" but it wasn't until I went into your links that I learned I was right.
I appreciate the time it took to make this video
I definitely would have use hss in some of these.
Wallace Barnett AGREED!

Very nicely done. I prefer the 85 for portraits except that on a photo shoot, it seems to me that both lenses used together is the ideal way to go so as to show different perspectives with the different focal lengths
I'm the same, the 85mm is my favourite lens!
I pick 85 every time if I can choose only between 50 and 85. (It is easy to make several steps back to get correct framing + having better background separation.) Today my portrait go to lens is 105/1.4 (sharper than 50 and even than 85 and 135 and even better subject / background separation than 85). (All shots by 105mm at f1.4: www.zonerama.com/rezny/Album/5148495)
85mm for sure. And for everything.
Great content 👌
TOP!
What location are you at?
Australia!
I love the 50 it allows you to be more creative than just relying on a blurry background and i know that's a wave but if everyone is on it how are you different from who you are riding with
Your channel is the best about photography on youtube, you are an inspiration to me. So much knowledge yet so much enjoyable content because you show in practice and not just talking.
Thanks for sharing with us your work, I am just an amateur trying to improve my techniques and become a photographer one day. I currently have an old camera (Sony DSLR A300) and some old lenses (kit, minolta 50mm 1.8 and a big zoom lens that I don't remember) and I just take pictures of myself and some spots when I travel.
I'm thinking of buying the Olympus OMD EM10 II next year, recommend?
Have a great weekend, bro!
Nice to blur out the background a lite more Is It's shot on a 1.8 lens
Thanks, these ones were shot on a 1.4 lens
@@BachPhotography I ment if they wure shot on 1.8 I wrote the wrong thing 😊
In short which one do you like the 85mm or 50mm?
50mm if you don't have any primes or are shooting on a crop camera. 85 if you're mainly a portrait photographer
50mm
Shes so beautiful
I prefer the 50mm! They are more flexible to use, 85mm is kinda hard to use because you need to stay too far away and it blurs too much the background in my opinion.
The Sigma 50mm ist my favorite lens.
I guess im not alone there ...
I like the 85. Way more professional IMO
If I wouldn't find myself in the body of an 18y old guy who has to waste over ten hours a day in school while barely having time for my sidejob... I would probably buy one of those too, but hey, life sucks big time :I
