Greetings from Argentinean Patagonia! We also have trouts here but it is reaaaally hard to get such big fishes. There are... but are truly scarce. Your work is really awesome man! Congrats! As many say here I also would like to go there some day and try such amazing fishing experience. All the best for you and keep bringing us these incredible fishing video! Thanks!
I caught a dream rainbow last month on the Trask river in Oregon with an elk hair caddis dry fly on a 4lb leader. looked just like the first one in this video. Got a beautiful picture of me holding it and released it back for the next fisherman to have that magical catch!
I'm 7:37 in. That first Rainbow Trout was no joke! Look at the size of the fins on that monster (I say that, aware that near the Salmon farms is your country are outrageous, monster Rainbow Trout [40 pounds/18KG, 70+CM/24+ inches], but the fins of that first Rainbow) were absolutely no joke! My goodness I'd love to catch such a fish!
Hey dudes, great video as always! The music that comes with it makes it even more special. Keep it up most of us are only able to dream of fishing like that. I lived in California fished there for years and today they no longer have water and especially cold water and I think they should have a strictly catch and release throughout the state its the only way to save the fishing there. Great job again love them videos and music you choose.
Thanks for the shout out, yes too bad about cal. i do have an amazing fish story catching a 12 pound wild steelhead on the feather river ten years ago. I had 6 pound test, It was the last cast of the day! I though it in the deep part of the river ......He snatched it up and I almost lost the rod !! i was chasing this wild fish down stream 100 yards, then back upstream a hundred yards, he swam through a log and rock dam, past the dam to perfect quiet deep water, I had to cross the 5 foot deep river to the other side to get him......he stayed there and i thought i had him! He had to be exhausted by now!! Nope, swam back down stream back through the dam, I chased him back across the river in five feet of water again it was a miracle he was still on!! I was right back where this fight started and he was swimming as if he was ready for more! He jumped out of the water twice and so I saw him clearly trying to break the line!! He did!! He broke off but at least i saw the beast!! I thought what the heck am I doing here with 6 pound test!! I never had a chance to bring this big wild boy in! take care Kudos for those videos made and produced professionally and perfectly. We all love it and literally cant wait for more!!
Idk if you mean Washington state or dc but Washington state has insane salmon and steelhead fishing. Just as big as these if not bigger, definitely could be bigger if fishing for salmon.
whats up mate? we are still looking for part 2! Keep making these you have a great talent in making these videos from beginning to the end. Keep up the great work and I am hoping I can soon take a trip to NZ for some catch and release fishing.
@@thehunterian Just went out into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness south of Skykomish. I'm kind of a noob at lake fishing and it seemed great. Sure, size wasn't huge (avg about 10") but got 20 fish in 2 days mostly on dry flies. There are much bigger fish up there, just didn't have the gear with me to get deep with a streamer or something. Next time.
New Zeeland has some of the best rainbow trout fishing not that great for other species of trout I heard granted i live in northern va pretty much some of the worst trout fishing
Great video guys those are some nice fish I think what was the most interesting is was how large the stream was starting out in the video and how it got small towards the middle and end pretty neat
To keep it competitive and challenging my suggestion is weight the fish that you catch. Keep a record of big fish (measurements) weight by units and total weight. I bet you, at the end of your trip probably you will be carrying extra 50 pounds ( supposedly if you’re keeping them) Just for fun.... Thank for uploading those beautiful videos this is a real thing... it’s not another fish history 😀
Awesome stuff as usual. Also funny you mention the knot on the SA leader, ordered a bunch and they all have that gnarly tag. I still am loving the tippet and leader regardless.
In Hungary (this is a country ..) we don't shout if we are fishing. We don’t explain anything out loud on the waterfront, not even in fishing TV shows. We are silent. This is not a theater, Nature.
Just curious why you and Alex when you show the fish you cover and bend the tail back so we really can’t see the whole fish tail and all maybe Change your hand position so we can see the whole fish just a suggestion let me know what you’re thoughts are on this
Hi there! Not a subscriber but don’t miss one episode! Everyday I regret not going fishing when I was in NZ for a year but love ur vids man! Just a lil question, out of the box, the only fish is trout in the rivers there worth catching, has the NZ fly fishing community ever thought of introducing yellowfish to the system, what i have seen in SA they do co exist and man if you want a good fight every fight, that would be the fresh water to catch! Anyway enjoy it and maybe someday soon I’ll make a fly over! Cheers
Hi folks. Are these fish natural and wild? Or stocked? Does the river get fished often? Not that I can get there but, is a permit required? So many questions 😎
Such a shame that you guy don't experience the joy of catching really small trout. Must be sooooo boring reeling in the huge fish that you catch. I'm not at all jealous. (Ok I am....)
All of your fish from the very first one are all beautiful! Nice fish, nice video!

Bet you got loads of good bass tho?
We do. I live by the shore toward Louisiana. We don’t complaint but rivers are scares
Come up to idaho we got trout! I want to come down there for those topwater bass on frog flies!
You guys have some of the craziest sized trout I've ever seen! I wish we had them in Washington.
Go watch any of the last 3 vids I posted if you wanna see a big trout 🤯

Hey, fellow Washington native here. We’re just getting back from a yellowstone fly fishing trip. Fly fishing there is amazing!!

What rod size you recomend for a river like that? 5/6 maybe?

Hey Duv..........if you are watching these videos the least you can do is subscribe ...and give these guys some words of excellence.
Is this in new zeland? Amazing fishing 👏
Yes
I want to go there!
Haven't been camping in a long time? I suppose its all in how one defines camping.
Camping is when you overnight in your own tent.
Great vid, love it!!
How did you not spook that first fish?
No idea 😂
Hes sneaky lol
Good job
NZ trout! In Australia flicking that line around at the beginning would've meant that trout gone!!
The same is true for most rivers in NZ also. This is just weird this river you can get away with a lot
Do you eat any fish looks like a great River Hi from Canada
Beautiful big trout guys 🏴🇬🇧
Hi folks. Are these fish natural and wild? Or stocked? Does the river get fished often? Not that I can get there but, is a permit required? So many questions 😎
Are these sea run rainbows?
No river residents
First fish and already doubles my PB Bass lol (I don't fish often).. great video guys.
Beautiful country with stunning fish, what more could you ask for?
can anyone explain why he use that type of rod thanks!
It’s best for these small rivers
Them fish aren't sea run are they?
Sick video bro. What river is this? ;)
Good location for fishing
Where is that?
what type and x leader are u using
Real coool ,but how many hookups are landed not to detract from your great videos sometimes i think that we see only what you want us to see ...?.
We missed 2 this day

It still amazes me how you can walk down river while fighting the fish, I bail into the water just looking for a spot 😂
Hahah yeah I’m a bit all over the place a lot of the time
