The thing I like about your videos is that you are not fake. When you are honest, the sales pitch feels uncomfortable . And that's what you felt. Anyway, keep going. Sometimes it's better to sound out the ideas out loud. It is not scripted and that touches the audience.

    Alexis,
I love your way of talking with your tribe. It’s authentic and perfect! You’re perfect! Your numbers will grow with you being you! Trust! I found your wonderful videos and I wasn’t even looking for you!!!
Peace ☮️ and thank you! Your information is so on point! And I’m so glad that you don’t have ‘that sound’ and your sales page for the intentional planner looks like a regular person did it; not a marketing genius. It’s refreshing.
    I’m loving it!

One of the things I've always liked about your videos, whether it's about planning or MBTI, is that you give me a very honest and deep Fi flavor. I don't think I see that in, say, Ali or other youtubers like that. I love it when you share some really deep thoughts, including very specific examples about the reality of your life. Your code of conduct permeates your every word, and I love that feeling. Thanks for the video.

I loved this combination of value and sharing some snippets of how it’s integrated in real life for you. That line between influence and manipulation is a hard one I’ve thought a lot about in my reading journey and some books I deliberately skipped (if it’s too heavy on NLP for instance)… with power comes responsibility.
Having set that; selling your information the best way you know how I feel is also a great service to your viewers☺️

One of the things I have noticed about myself is that when I do what I love the most which is working on my content creation (my website, which includes my blog and also includes my RUclips channel and designing digital products)
When I actually do that before applying for a full-time job, as I’m currently also doing … I actually feel happier applying for the full-time job!
People saying that you need to do the hardest thing first … I understand the “theory “but for somebody that has other stuff that they’re working on that fuels their fire / daily motivation
    (like us creatives)
… I feel better after I’ve expressed myself in some form or fashion.
This also goes hand-in-hand with being in a relationship ! If I’m pissed, just the fact that I am expressing that I’m upset. Makes me feel better and then I’m immediately happy after.
Not waiting around later in the day when you and your partner can actually have a discussion about it
I do forewarn people when I’m dating them when I feel something I will feel crappy all day until I get to the part where I get to just say what I feel in my heart
Could be because I’m a woman because I’m a creative, not sure 🤔

It's great you are reflecting on what is right for you and I also understand you need an income too. I loved this informal type of video too and would be very happy if you found time to do the occasional one. Your content is so full of information that is releveant to me.

Hey Alexis, long time subscriber here.
I got really excited to watch your planning video series, but I haven't watched them as I am a little overwhelmed by the amount of content which you are producing. Whilst I understand this is generally good for your channel etc, having one big long video compiling your main points gathered would we worthy for me to watch.

Not even sure I commented already on your channel but I have been watching all your videos since a long time and I love that you are evolving and trying out different type of formats, topics etc it's very interesting to follow someone like you. It always makes me curious to watch your new videos.
Also I felt you so much with your talk on being efficient/sales oriented and authenticity. It's really hard to balance that indeed, but you will eventually find what works best for you after testing out different kind of method (it's Fi, it won't let us just do what needs to be done ahah).
Love the casual/vlog type format too, it changes from the scripted videos and bring more variety and authenticity, I guess we feel more connected to you or something.
Peace on you and your husband ✌🏾

New viewer here. Thank you for your honesty. The way you captioned your video did catch my interest, and I did hope that it was some groundbreaking new practice for me to implement, however how many ways can you really skin a cat? I appreciate that you are willing to show your vulnerability and show us that you are just learning right along with us. So much more refreshing than the average “Clean With Me” video, where the presenter gets everything shipshape, only to let it lapse into complete chaos so they can redo the video in two weeks time. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have to offer and dipping back into your archives! Good luck!

I also follow Chris Do on his channel TheFutur. His usual audience is designers, but I’ve found his content to be tremendously helpful to me as a maker. He shared a video about sales recently called “Selling Without Being Salesy: The Kind Way to Sell”. I can’t recommend this enough!

Keep asking yourself whether you’re doing this for them or for yourself. Service, not selfishness. Truth and true north. ❤

I get it feels icky but people are still doing it. So I guess your high quality will beat out the low quality if you have the same tools in your toolkit. I think if you can balance these techniques with real value it’s less scammy. But I could be wrong. Do you read any academic papers or books on marketing?
I think knowing the why can help you get the same results without using the xerox of a xerox version of the technique. Which might feel less slimy.
Great video! Not gonna lie I do watch all your videos so I might be biased.

I can understand the difficulty with feeling to far into the “sales” stuff and not as authentic. My husband is an entrepreneur and has been on a tv show called “The Blox.” It’s a competition show for entrepreneurs. Watching it might help you get a better feel for how to find that balance for yourself.

You said teaching is an early morning profession, at least in United States it is. For those of the population that are challenged with this, like going to school when it is still dark outside (even the animals are still sleeping), well it is challenging. I've always had a problem with the assumption of this culture of the rigid inflexible rule and its affects upon the population. Probably the 'go-getters" and 'high achievers' responsible for making the laws don't have a problem with it for it is normal for them leaving some whom may be 'high achievers' in other things, that the policy makers may not prioritize, feeling yucky, not good, not good enough or whatever. Anyways, just my opinion upon that. I have a question. You actually graph your retention learning in a class you are taking? I am sorry I didn't quite understand what you were saying about the retention graph. What is it and how do you do it? Is it the retention of people following you? Or is it the retention of you quizzing yourself on what you were learning? Anyways great work. Thank you. Your research seems very thorough and thought provoking.

I just wanted to mention that I love your videos and if you implementing these “tactics” to gain higher retention are actually working, you are just helping us stay for the value you truly have to provide. A lot of the time, people are using these tactics to reel people in, but cannot deliver on the promise they made to their audience. You can and that’s what sets you apart. Lean into it, girl and let yourself succeed!👏🏼🫶🏼
