Horses are an absolute necessity early to mid game with mountains the way they are. It's so nice to see a content creator give them some love! And if you have a fast enough one, they will follow behind a boat with a lead without breaking the lead. They are also super useful when fighting the dragon the first time. You can spawn proof the middle of the island very quickly, to eliminate endermen in the area. They also don't take fall damage if you are decent at pillaring while riding them.
Exactly, and that's not all ... On the variety of horses, if considering the carpet variety of the llama it is only fitting to include the 16 colors of dyed leather horse armor available along with the iron, gold & diamond. That gives us 35 base with 19 armor options each!
@@cricketthewise I would argue there are way more options than 16, as with cauldrons on bedrock you can mix colors to get an insane number of color variants you can dip the armor into. But it definitely gives more options than llama carpets.
The llama caravan mechanic is cool in theory, but iirc they lose interest easily if you run into any kind of obstacle that is difficult to traverse. This was such a fun video! Thanks for all the research!
My son also wants to point out that the camel that keeps the player safe from most melee mob attacks.
Llamas take off when you stop. Unless you tie them up with a lead, they will roam in scattered directions while you are building a pen to keep them in. It’s best to have leads for all for when you stop so you don’t lose the stuff in their inventories. 😞Speaking from experience. Nametagging them will preserve them from despawning, but they go an astonishing distance in a short amount of time!
Videos like this are so fun because a lot of content creators rush to the end game & ignore mobs unless they drop something cool or are hostile to the player. Way to give overlooked mobs some love BluJay!
I'm a little surprised you didn't include the camel's height as a utility feature since mobs can't reach you while you're on it. (I don't think it would change the score for our camel friend, but it is something the devs highlighted when they announced the camel)

I'm not sure about 11:02 donkeys in the wild also have varying speed and jump height however they are really average, meaning it's much harder to find a donkey with above average speed compared to a horse with above average speed

Pretty funny you call the strider Lava Walker. I'm from Spain and in the Spanish version of the game that mob's called "Lavagante" what comes from "Lava" (same as English) plus "Caminante" (Walker). Anyway just a curiosity. I love the way you cover the 1.20 in that series. 😊

Next episode PLEASE make a netherite tutorial and turning your armor and tools into netherite please because the new update requires Smithing temple witch are found in bastions and you can dupe by crafting one netherake and 7 diamonds
I wonder, while riding a horse, couldn't you put a lead on a llama? So you'd have a caravan of llamas moving fast, and if players can sit on them, you're moving lots of items and people.
A tutorial for that speed testing contraption would be super useful. Also, I don’t agree with the llama jump test, as I feel it’s using the tension on the lead to drag the llama up the cliff face, rather than testing the llama’s ability to actually jump more than one block. I’d have to see all the other travel companions in the same test in order to give full credit to the llama and not the lead

A much easier and simpler speed timer machine is made with a button that opens lots of gates and you can ride the animal through that but the downside is that there isn’t really a way of setting as time without lots of redefine soooo…. Your choice. 👍
I use the donkey for the lols. If not for that and the expense , it would be the mule. I like the saddle bags. I might use the llama if it were easier to control
I just prefer to travel on my own. I move at a constant speed, don't have to carry leads and a fence post. Using shulker boxes you don't have to worry about inventory. I might take my dog with me but I have learned to not get too attached to them since they appear to be very dumb animals. Even creepers have more survival instinct than dogs and they self destruct!
