a good tip for surviving the nether is increasing your simulation distance if you can. by default, a world's sim distance is 4, which allows mobs to be able to spawn between 24-44 block radius in a sphere around you. this makes it look like mobs spawn right next to you and can make it hard. increasing the sim distance expands the spawning sphere, so mobs can spawn much further away from you, making them spread out, and can make your first trip to the nether much easier
So great to have someone to help out the bedrock community so much. I've always been afraid of the nether, it could take me up to 3 weeks in a world before building a portal. I love this video for so many reasons and thank you
My usual for nether is to build my nether house, inside the house I build a stairway down.

That was too much lava for my comfort. GG surviving! LOL
I build my portals with the four corners missing. But I place the bottom row of obsidian IN the ground of whatever base I am using for the portal, that way it looks more like an oblivion portal from The Elder Scrolls.

Been missin ya Blu!!! Glad your okay and back. I actually enjoy the nether. Especially once I can start roadways. I build out brick roads at lava lake level and cover them with glass. I know. It is a lot of work. But I really like it. Love the episode. Can’t wait for the next one!

8:49 - Honestly I would recommend Mending Bow for the Soul Sand Valley because arrows can be an inventory issue (Especially if your SSV is next to a Fortress)

Ah, the nether.... such a wonderful place. It was awesome seeing you go over load stones! So many people either forget about them or ignore them, and it's a shame. For those that loot the nether enough, and get multiple of them, t's a really cool looking block to decorate with, and can make for a great tool in multiplayer worlds, to mark out important landmarks for new players
I like to put crying obsidian in the corners.

If you ride a camel, you will be completely safe from piglin brutes at the bastion remnants. Just take care not suffocate in ceilings or fall into lava.
Otherwise building barriers and using lava buckets are good methods for dealing with the brutes
Good episode...as always! Yes on a social episode for armor/tools netherite upgrades. Now that MC has made it more impossible for a player like me to get netherite upgraded stuff....I could use a step by step for noobs😁.
