    Not related to the topic at all but I have very severe ADHD and the medication I take for it has really bad after effects that essentially make it impossible for me to waste time without existential dread and the feeling of impending doom. Consuming entertaining conent in the 4-5 hour time frame after the medication wears off is nearly inpossible because nearly all the content nowadays is attention grabbing overstimulating slop that makes my head hurt. But it's only your videos that I can comfortably watch to pass time til the the effects from my meds wear off. You can tell effort and some passion goes into these videos. I am nowhere near an expert on how the human brain behaves so I can't explain why your videos are easy to watch when my dopamine release is fried. And the asus ROG laptop from my freind with a 3050 in it also runs out of battery after like an hour, and with very low settings it may stand for 2 hours with a 15 minute loading time after an hour. Gaming Laptops are for nothing in my opinion. Battery gets worse so fast because of the Wattage the gpu uses. And they are quite expensive for the performance

    Wow, really great review!
    I'm 2nd year CS student, and I was tired of the heavy and short-battery M16 2023, so I started thinking about buying a lighter and much longer lasting laptop.
    I was thinking about getting the Thinkpad P14s with AMD, but then I heard that it has a bad battery life (5-7 hours). So, I started looking around and I found this other laptop and it's perfect for me. It's lightweight, really powerful (even 4060 with 16gb is overkill for me), and the battery lasts up to 12 hours! If you can get it for $1000, that's a awesome deal.

    Oh my friend... not everything is "stable" and "clean" on Macintosh OS... I have 16 inch M1 Max right now and want to get rid of it to tell the truth, even after half a year I just cant set it up for my comfort, and sometimes I have crushes and had to force restart it several times... also video editing is a big problem, stuff like even moving text around start to lag a performance, and if I use even not very powerful effects, like noise reduction on audio, it starts to choke, projects for more than 20 minutes becomes too hard to edit and work on. Battery life is actually not that bad just for web and RUclips, but as soon as I work intensively it just melts, I literally never use it unplugged. The list of downsides is so big, that it takes several lists in my textbook... and Finder, aka "File explorer"... it is just a circus show... I just cant understand how I have so much patience to continue use it... there are so many small but still huge problems... like... there is no UI scaling... if you set resolution high, everything becomes so small that I literally have to move my head 15 cm from the screen, and if I set resolution low, everything on the UI is uncomfortably big. I can live with couple of days installing and setting windows for my comfort, but I cant put my head around half a year of constantly searching problem solving online, which sometimes (most of the time) lead to an dead-end... It feels more like a tablet with PC functionality.
    Thank you for your observations and opinion.

      They're about the same at 500 nits, but the G14 can get brighter small spots, since it has WAY higher contrast because of that OLED.

    This could've been the best comparison video to test and compare video editing / 3D work apps since Mac's can't game and you can't compare apples to apples here (pun intended). Therefore, comparing Premiere / Davinci / After Effects / Photoshoo or Lightroom / Blender is a great way to compare these two platforms hardware and software wise...

      @@crimsontechyt tnx for sharing, man. What makes your videos top is that you go down to the nitty gritty details. You compare and review things in a smart way, not missing most features. For example the size of the power brick and total weight with laptop. These are the "gray" areas where no one talks about. I think if you start reviewing also video editing apps [premiere is more CPU centered, Davinci is GPU centered, After Effects is more single core centered]- then you can differentiate your channel even more, as no one talks about those things, and there are MANY 'content creators' out there. No one addresses them.

      @ehtasam2080if you are comparing gaming performance of a MacBook to a 4090 laptop, you aren’t getting the point of the MacBook. I also have an m3 max mbp, and it’s selling point is it’s portable, efficient nature. I would like to see 4090 unplugged and performing at the same level as when it was plugged in (sure it’ll be faster, but MacBooks don’t have to care about losing any performance). MacBooks are workflow machines, not for gaming. I know that I will last hours longer than a 4090 laptop which as a college student, I need. I can’t be plugged in all the time. If I wanna game, I can use my 4090 pc.

      @ehtasam2080 yeah and I know for a fact, that the cpu speed of the ultra 9 is vastly slower than the m3 max. You are also not taking into account that the m3 max is rendering everything on a 4k screen compared to 1440p on the legion. If you want to game, don’t get a MacBook. No one ever got a MacBook because they wanted to game on it. That is not what it’s for.

      @ehtasam2080 What about sound, isn’t the quality and volume 2x on Mac. What about screen quality, aren’t there 2x the pixels on Mac. What about sound, isn’t it 2x louder with legion. What about weight and size, isn’t it 3x heavier with legion. What about build quality, isn’t it 2x better on Mac. What about cpu, isn’t m3 max rated as the best laptop cpu on most ranking sites (nano reviews, etc). What about heat, isn’t the legion 2x hotter than Mac? What about battery, isn’t the Mac’s 5x longer than legion?

    • @nitinkrishnaswamy5825
      @nitinkrishnaswamy5825 3 месяца назад +3

      @ehtasam2080 1600p is the same thing as 1440p. It just means that rather than a 16:9 aspect ratio, it is 16:10. No difference in pixel density or quality. So difference is large. Macbook pro 16s have close to 8 million pixels in their screen. 4k screens have a little over 8 million. That is close enough to be roughly estimated to 4k. Secondly, copilot+ does not mean anything. One of the features "recall" is universally hated bc of privacy concerns and was recalled before launch because of that too. M3 max is also an old thing and light laptop chip. The new one is coming out in a month. Also, even compared to 14900hx, its considered better. Maybe not for pure speed, but its ability to use its power effectively (single core is superior). You also addressed none of the other points my guy.

    I am confused between the G16 and the G14. I want something easy to carry to university, but at the same time I want a large screen so I can play comfortably. The question is, if I take the G16, will it be difficult to carry it to university every day? And if I take the G14, will I hate it because of its small screen when I play video games? Decide for me because it tires me out.

    • @crimsontechyt
      @crimsontechyt  3 месяца назад +3

      HAHA that's the dilemma that everyone has everyday :D
      The G16 is VERY light for a 16-inch laptop (especially a gaming laptop), so the weight really isn't an issue.
      If you want a bigger display, go for the G16. Some people think 14 inch is fine, some people want something bigger.
      You really have to find that out yourself unfortunately D:
      I prefer compacter form factors, since they're easier to hold :)

    • @Abdoalhinai-iz7wc

      @@crimsontechyt From your experience, do you think that the G14 screen is suitable for playing for long hours?

    • @crimsontechyt
      @crimsontechyt  3 месяца назад +2

      @Abdoalhinai-iz7wc It really depends on which games you play.
      For competitive play, or games where your target might be far away, 14 inches might be too small.
      But if you only play games casually, or once in a while, 14 inches is perfectly fine.

    • @pyro4755
      @pyro4755 3 месяца назад +4

      If you're carrying it around university, I'd go for the g14, you can fit it in smaller backpacks and you won't really be hardcore gaming at university anyway (you're there to study, not play all day).
      If the screen size bothers you when you're at home, you can always plug it into an external monitor or TV for a bigger screen. But I don't think it'll be as bad as you're thinking it will be anyway.
