I mean, they ...had an *Empire?* Even dissident factions wouldn't just twiddle thumbs and count on outside help all of a sudden. I disagree... The MASSIVE evacuation of Romulus and the surrounding star systems was not a small job. You heard the math... Now picture the Romulan fleet at about a 3rd of its strength after the Dominion War and the Borg Attack. And you think that species, which had been forced in to the Star Empire would suddenly offer to help their oppressors? Oppressors that no longer had a strong enough fleet to keep them in line? No, im sorry, you're incorrect on this point, the Star Empire needing a lot of help was definitely a point they got 100% right!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Eh, I get that they needed help, but I *don't* buy the notion they suddenly became a helpless isolated planet that relied entirely on the Federation to move any people, never mind that they'd *admit* it. No one ever said they "became a helpless isolated planet, that relied entirely on the Federation to move any people," in fact this video itself often mentions the remaining Romulan Fleet. So Im not sure why you keep saying that as you have made that up in your head. All that was ever said was due to the daunting task, and the events in the Romulan Empire at the time and leading up to the time, the Star Empire needed help! And yes, it DOES make sense to recall the fleet for refit, again because of the daunting task. They had a time frame for the Star going Nova and in true Starfleet/ Federation tradition they would have put together teams to come up with the best plan to ensure maximum survival. Sending in starships willy nilly as you suggest would simple create bigger problems and ensure far less people would be evacuated in the end. If you do all the math, you'd see, your idea is horrible in the long wrong... Anyhow, hope this helps clear up your confusion! Take care!
Again, I wish Starfleet would name this class ship types by known cargo haulers: The Kenworth class or even the Peterbilt class. And can we have the nacelles be done in the best color in the universe: Chrome. Hehe.
This class was named after Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who saved thousands of Jewish people from the Holocaust in Budapest, Hungary during World War II. Get the name now ;) :P
You know, I know it's all about script writing, but did they really wait for 10th or 13000 ships to be fully constructed instead of sending each one that was finished on its way to help, this feels like a pearl Harbor mobent. For real, for every ship that was finished. They should have sent it on its way to its mission. It might have saved some lives
No, not exactly... Federation starships were already evacuating people when the Synth Attack occurred... However, the bulk of the fleet was being constructed and/ or upgraded when the attack happened. Utopia Planita had expanded it's births to 13000 in orbit of Mars and began construction of almost all the Wallenberg Class ships at the same time, meaning, they would have been completed at the same time and sent off!
@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics even so, I'm sure the Wallenberg & refits could be sent off after each each ship was finished by the time the shipyard got so large maybe 3000 ships could have been sent in the time frame of the expansion of the shipyards. & why only just mars I know Jupiter has shipyards & saturan they could have split the difference between 2 or 3 planets 400 0r 700 ships each world even if the synth/Romulan attack still happened it'd be pretty hard to attack 2 or 3 planets at the same time
Nooooooo, that's not how it worked... They werent building 1 dock at a time, and starting 1 ship at a time, they built 10000 docks at once, meaning they all finished at the same time, then built 10000 Wallenberg ships all starting at the same time, which means they would all finish at the same time, making your first point moot. Also, there are NO shipyards at Jupiter or Saturn in the Prime Timeline, according to canon, so Im not sure where you're getting that idea? And also, even if their were, it would ABSOLUTELY be possible for the Synth to attack at EACH planet anyhow. Im not sure why you think otherwise, but just like how Lore and Data were both summoned to see their Father in the TNG Episode Brothers, a single command would have affected ALL of the Synths creating the same outcome!
@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics those were 2 individuals with long distant shipyards they have their own management teams doing their own thing only contacting other planets for a status reports meaning communication between them would be small wouldn't it? & the Romulans only had enough ships to attack 1 planet right because they have a 2nd evil shadow organization they can only commit to so much Subtrafuge. And really they built the docks first instead maybe 1 at a time or at the Same time wow that just feels like poor planning they did use existing shipyards for the plan so I would have guessed some refits & ground-up construction would have helped finish a little faster?
Sorry you're satill incorrect on all accounts, especially since again, there are no shipyards on Jupiter or Saturn! And last time, yes, they built ALL docks at the same time, and then ALL ships at the same time and that was a far more efficient way of doing things then 1 at a time, as history has taught us with mass production! Im not sure where you got this idea, but it's incorrect... There are 2 types of SuperNova and only 1 type does what you suggest... Besides, this SuperNova was a triggered event, rather then a natural progression! So yes, silly you!
