This is what started happening alot when they switched to 1 piece sticks, back in the day barely anyone used anything lower than a 90-100 flex stick, you have some dudes now with like 70 75 flex sticks, some players essentially cant even really take or atleast put serious load into a slapshop if you have a stick like that because youll straight up break it. It helped alot with loading up power for wrist shots, i grew up on the stiffer sticks and im used to the precise handling they give you, plus im 6'2 so. They also used to wrap the old easton ultralites in kevlar, i dont think they do that anymore either, that added to the strength. For roller hockey i still prefer 2 piece sticks, the wooden abs blades dont wear down as fast, and u can actually build load in ur shot without tearing the bottom of the blade apart on a hard surface.

its caus hes using a peewee flex stick, sticks with under 75 flex back when i played were like JR sticks.
