Any reason why the one guy “david” doesn’t make it one fluid movement? He does the deadlift part of it, then cleans it then jerks it. The other two did the clean in one movement.
I believe it's a harder variation which takes the momentum away from the first pull, like pausing a squat. Not 100% sure of the name but I think it's called a hang c&j.
I've had injuries this year so wanted a variation of the clean that was difficult at light weights. Also fun. My close grip was something that actually helps me stay upright in the catch. I used to catch very rounded.
