25 years ago today, this episode aired. Since all five movies got 👍👍, Gene summed it up best at 20:07: "A great week. I wish they were all like that." I agree with him and wish the very same thing.
Lone Star is an incredibly well made and well acted film. It’s probably the second John Sayles movie I ever saw. I’ve probably seen six or seven of his movies and they’ve all been good and most were great. Sunshine State, Matewan, and The Secret Of Roan Inish are just a few other examples.
@@jmjfanss YEAH, WELL I DO LOVE "THE ERASER 1996" WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, BUT I GIVE "THE ERASER 1996" 8/10, BECAUSE IT'S BEAUTIFUL!. 🙂👍✌️❤️😊😍🥰🤨😏🇺🇲🎥📀📼🎞️🎬🇺🇸🍿💪 I LOVE IT! WHOO-HOO! 🥰 ROCK & ROLL, BABY!. 🎤🎼🎵🎸

ALRIGHT, LOOK. I ACTUALLY HAVE "THE ERASER 1996" WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, JAMES CAAN, VANESSA L. WILLIAMS, JAMES COBURN, & OF COURSE, ROBERT PASTORELLI. DIRECTED BY CHUCK RUSSELL (FROM "THE MASK 1994") I'LL GIVE "THE ERASER" 7/10, BUT IT'S AN A+ FOR ME. SO YEAH, IT'S 2 THUMBS WAY UP 4 ME. NOT DOWN. I'M HAPPY. 🙂❤👍✌
Notice the reference to the Nick Park film which was only nominated for an Oscar. That was A Grand Day Out, the first Wallace & Gromit film, which lost out to another Nick Park film, Creature Comforts.
Yeah i loved Eraser too great film surprised they did as generally they are quite picky but a rare occasion that i can agree with the two Gents and Roger saying about Arnie having better guns in his films than Bond i would like to see what they thought of True Lies? That being a spy film with Arnie in! Im surprised Eraser did so badly that it wasn't as well liked as some of his other films it has some other great actor's in it Vanessa Williams was great and also the late great James Caan was also awesome in it
Hunchback was twisted as a children's film. I was not cool that Frollo stalked Esmeralda and seemingly acted as if he'd rape her if the opportunity presented itself. Since Siskel was so aware of female oppression in previous episodes, I'm surprised this aspect slid right on by.
As a Brit, Siskel and Ebert reviewing Wallace & Gromit is absolutely glorious
I loved the hunchback of Notre dame i remember seeing it in cinemas as a kid and a movie classic animated movie and like eraser it is ok

Fun episode. Every film got two thumbs up. They deserved it as well, all great.
What a great week for movies.
Ebert comparing this to "Beauty and the Beast" -- the two guys who directed BATB also directed THOND.

Eraser 👍 The Hunchback of Notre Dame 👍 Lone Star 👍👍👍👍
Remembered this episode for the 'Lone Star' accolade. Brilliant film.
Dark helmet LONEEEEEE STAAAAAAAR
I'm suprise they liked all 5 films & I'm glad they did. 😁😉👍👌✌
Eraser, Lone star & Hunchback I enjoy the most👍👍👍
I Didn't like eraser, i though it was dreadful.

I wish Buster Keaton lived to see W&G: The Wrong Trousers
Gene sadly never lived to see Chicken Run, W&G: Curse Of The Were-Rabbit etc.

I still can't believe Roeper didn't like Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit.
I can. He dislikes a lot of good movies/cult classics. His bad taste never surprises me
Most projectiles leave rail guns at mach 6, twice the speed of a rifle bullet. That is impressive, but hardly the speed of light.
Perfect VHS

HUNCHBACK is not fit material for a cartoon musical.
Agreed, good thing Disney adapted the novel into a well-crafted animated feature.
