Damn this form is so natural to most jedis
Every Jedi learns it as younglings
@@Royc29 Along with never to touch master yoda's ketamine
What i like about Shii-cho is it resembles the Samurai moves and it is really my form preference. Thank you for this one Mike, hope we can have a video call/conversation too. Keep it up
Well that's interesting you dai that, because the base of the lightsaber fighting style is kendo, and this one of the most important Japanese swordsmanship style, so yes that's normal
Shii Chi was developed when the Jedi still used metal swords, so it makes sense.
Kenjutsu. Kendo is more of a sport.
@@antoinepichon1426what form is form 6 based off of?
@@whateverwhatever4476 Hi, well I'm not an expert, but the form 6 niman is based on mix of form 1,2,3,4 and 5, to create a balanced form. So if we can convert it irl I think we can mix some forms of swordsmanship and create an unique form. But again I'm not an expert and I don't claim anything, it's just a possibility
Form 1 is very easy to learn and it just gives me confidence that lightsaber combat is easy... but once I shifted forms to like 5 I was starstruck on how difficult these maneuvers and attacks are, I guess it's a warning to you guys,
*This might be easy but once you shift forms it is going to be really hard.*
I have been practicing for 2 months, I really like shii chos flowing attacks.. I am really skilled at using shii Cho now, I am looking to now go to the advanced side of lightsaber combat..
*May the Force Be With You And Me*
*Datacron ends*
How has it been going?
I love how you bring up the duel in return of the jedi. It's my favorite lightsaber duel of all time, the choreography was solid and the emotional storytelling was on another level.
Shii-cho is very underrated.
Your tutorials are the best! The way you break them down makes them so easy to follow and learn. Looking forward to more forms.
Ayyyy thanks man🙌
love the fact that not only do you explain and show how to demonstrate the form you also promote safety for choreography of it
How am I only now finding this channel. Thank you RUclips algorithm.
The most common form to fall back to when there's nothing else to rely on. Practical but effective for getting things across.
Form I: the goal is to disarm the opponent. Every strike should have a blurry line of defense and offense, every strike makes it harder to hold onto the lightsaber for the opponent. Its simplicity makes it powerful, that’s why this is the form you start with at the Jedi temple!
This form was used by the younglings and best summarized by master kit fisto.
Nobody gonna talk about how BRIGHT there sabers are in broad daylight??
Yes! Please do them for the rest of the forms! I'm excited to see what you do with ataru
Cannot wait for soresu and djem so!
YES, THE FORMS!
I call the "back" area "zone 0". It'd also include tails in species that have them.
These tutorials are great. Can’t wait to see some of tje other forms.
Love the cameo of the apprentice spinning
Just appeared lol
Heyyy sweet! Me and my friends have just started learning some choreography stuff and we've been looking for a tutorial for Form I!!
Awesome man 🙌
It's nice that there are people doing these sorts of things. Had I born in USA, I might've joined a group like this one
This is by far one of my favorite series you've done. Once you hit the like threshold, which form do you think you'll cover next?
I’m glad man! And Form 3 🙌
Shii_cho is my go-to lightsaber form because it's just a basic form but very effective
Awesome as always. This is basicly a more simple way of the choreography tutorial. Also, a reverse grip tutorial would be awesome
Love the tutorial, well done!
Thank you for the lesson, Master Starwalker!
Shii-cho is one of my favorites
For my experience for what it's worth... there's a LOT of arm movement that could be substituted for wrist movement, like at the 3:09 mark where he's parried down then hit in the neck, a quick rotation of the wrist and bringing his right arm up a bit would have parried that neck strike out... there's not enough emphasis on the wrist moves that would drastically shorten the distance between strikes and blocks
Soresu form next!! This is awesome.
Shii-Cho: known as the determination form the way of the sarlacc it's my favorite lightsaber form it takes long time to learn mastered saber form more I learn more I getting better at it.
It takes time to practice and time is all I need
Awesome yo!! Can't to see so guys break down all seven lightsaber forms!!! Ataru and Niman are my favorites.
I have a professional lightsaber. None of my friends or family have one tho so Im mostly learning the moves to impress at parties 😆
I'm gonna learn this one and then all the styles Kyle Katarn knew:)
Them sabers so bright 😱
Well Done!
May the Force be with you. Hi I took a quiz from Leia’s Lair years ago and found my form was Shii-Cho. I wanted to see if I would still have that one so I took the quiz tonight and guess what I got form Shii-Cho again. So now I’m going to learn that form. Btw thanks for the video.
My brother and I used this video (and many of your other videos) to train.
We have a lot of work to do, but we recorded our third day of practice, and I sent it to you :D
Nice! Dig it!
Awesome Video 🙏🏼🥳
Now I need to find a star wars obsessed friend and two cheap lightsabers gah being a star wars and sword obsessed introvert is hard sometimes
Me, who should be preparing for my school exams:
Also me, preparing to "be the most powerful jedi ever. I PROMISE YOU".
I'm watching these now and it seems I'm told I have a knack for some of these moves on intuition without any kind of training for them... would love help tightening these up
I like Makashi the most, but all of your vids are very good!
Master mike I still have a lot to learn
Disney needs to hire you
This is epic. I need to get me a lightsaber and master all of these forms lol
Awesome as always
I actually think that Luke only used form I but in a revamped matter, (return of the jedi luke vs vader) because I don't think he had the jedi texts at that time and he learned about form I on dagobah with yoda and he got that speed by practicing. Ataru would be a more ahsoka type of fighting and I think Luke had never learned that in return of the jedi, I think he used form I but he made some little adjustments to the form
I like the flow, a final strike to the forearms or wrists would be in principle with Shii Cho
Amazing,
Good stuff as always Mike!
Amazing form thank you for the great vid

I just ordered my saber so I’m doing this with weights (just the movements not sparring)
I just took an what lightsaber style would you use test. I thought for sure I would get vapad but got shii Cho. I did some studying and I honestly love it
a great form 1 video, love it as always! and very curious what those secret apprentices are up to👀
Just started my shii Cho journey. Will make videos once I get my first saber
now to find a suitable stick to practice with bc force knows i don’t have the cash for a lightsaber replica
Please do more 🙏
We almost have it
Funny enough I was almost doing this exactly in Blade and Sorcery with star wars mods. Guess I know my form I will be focusing on.
Kylo Ren our university just making video on the field on his pj
LIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!
This is my journey to become a jedi
Can you do a lightsaber tutorial on reverse grip?
Best to learn the basics first.
Are you planning on doing forms 4 through 7 including Jar'Kai?
Yooooo are you in Salt Lake???
Is this Liberty park??
Ive learned something very very similar to Shii Cho through UCSA.
Please make a video about soresu
Go video Mike
When is Ataru and Shien/Dejim So?
The deadliest but you can expand to Form 2 to 6 even, very unpredictable
Can you please do Djem So or Shien?
Um... Luke Skywalker was using a combination of Soresu and Djem So in his final duel against Vader if memory serves.
Hey what's the best lightsaber product do they buy and use for training, fighting and in their videos
as i recall Luke Skywalker used form 5 in ep 6
plz do more. and luke from luke v vader rotj is defs also using juyo. luke is much more a juyo user in that movie i swear.
djem so.
Do djem so
Hey I'm a new content creator and I do the same thing they did here and will start uploading soon. I have been learning how to use lightsabers for years now and am ready to teach double bladed sabers, single bladed and all sabers. I promise to teach only the most effective ways to strike your opponent and I hope to see you on the channel.
Do you have anything breaking it down further? Or could you make something? I’m having trouble with the footwork in particular.
You should watch the basics video, it’s linked in the description 👍
Where do you get your lightsabers?
Can you do more with this form
Can you link your lightsaber that you use?
www.etsy.com/shop/KiSabers?coupon=STARWALKER
Can you do dejem so and Ataru ?
Hey! I have a question, where do you buy this amazing light sabers?
description
could it be possible to do the three rings of combat from the luke new jedi order?
What sabers are those? They’re so bright even during the day
New to this series, curious as to your opinion on which real life sword/weapon fighting styles each form resembles the most or were inspired by?
Forms are all based on things like kendo and some katana arts, but Form 2 is based on fencing. That’s why Dookus lightsaber hilt is curved, it was made to better resemble the pistol grip on an epeé since the actor Christopher Lee was an expert fencer. Ataru, Form 4, is super acrobatic.
Please do form 5 :)
What lightsaber do you use.
eso le quito toda la seriedad al momento
If this is an instructional playlist, why do they link you to neopixel sabers, when those aren't recommended for live combat ?
What lightsaber brand our you using( saber pro, etc.)?
Do the battles have to be perfectly choreographed? Can't you just learn the movements and then just go at it randomly??
I taught some younglings... they didnt stand a chance against general skywalker.
I have a question - if I remember right, doesn’t the basics video use Shii-Cho as mentioned at 1:05? If so, I was wondering: does Shii-Cho use all nine target zones as shown in the basics video, or not all of them as in this video? Just seeking clarity. 🙂👍
Ik this is way late, but i think 1:05 is referring to keeping the blades straight (aka ideal) vs having them slanted (aka live). I don’t think it’s referring to the form itself.
Mike! Got nothing to do with this particular video but I hope you can help me. Just got my first lightsaber and I started practice. Just wondering, I guess you own or have tried lots of different sabers. What I wonder is: do all sabers typically just have ONE button to control everything?!? I think it's quite awkward like that! Pressing that silly button for different lengths of time.
Hey man, sabers generally have one or two bottons. The reason for having one is to save on cost or just doesn’t need it because there aren’t as many features. There are some good companies out there with 2 buttons.
@@Mikestarwalker I see. What brand/make of sabers do you prefer if I may ask?
@@magnusjohansson295 check out our review playlist 👍
Does Shii-Cho help if the opponent is fast and makes lots of moves without using a specific form ? Because with my friend I'm doing a lot of fights and everytime we hurt our fingers each other
Shien djem so next!
Join me and together we can rule the galaxy
Just wondering, what lightsabers do you use for these?
What sabers do you use for the practice choreo
