    - Go to: www.thestanpro... and buy a pre signed book (the simplest)
    - Buy a book on Amazon and follow these instructions. (Many have done this and it has worked well. Done hundreds and no mail failures yet).
    1. Get two 12.5 x 9.5" priority mail flat rate envelopes at post office.
    2. Self-address and put postage on one envelope.
    3. Address other one to: Stan Zuray, Box 77172, Tanana, Alaska, 99777 and put book and other envelope in it (folded) and signing instructions if any and I'll sign and return.
    Please send no money - my privilege to sign but an Amazon review would be appreciated. Flat rate both ways will cost you under $15.

      Stan Zuray. I would like to know if you grow vegetables and fruits. If not, do you have a grocery store in Tanana. Would like to see more of your family and let them answer questions sometimes. Do you have an indoor bathroom? You have wonderful children.

      Hi Stan! I think it would be great with a 4th Q&A. In that case, I have a question that I would like you to include: Why isn't there any tradition for humans to eat predators such as wolf, wolverine, and fox within your hunting and trapping culture? It seems to me that the only predator you eat is bear. Best regards, Jakob

      Yes, I have some questions I'd like to ask for knowledge, if there is a possibility of answers.

      Not sure but I think any animal that eats meat isn't very palatable.....

    Awesome video Stan! The only reason I would want to come to Tanana is to meet you Stan! Sit back and have a few beers in front of the fire!
    I live in Canada where I am out in the bush, I can hunt and trap, but I am only just an hour away from a Major City. So I have the best of both worlds.

    Stan's suggestion on visiting first before thinking of moving to any area is priceless. I would add visit the area in every season for at least 2 weeks each time....will give one a good idea of what they are getting into.

    Thank you Stan. I'm in the autumn of my years and not likely to move to Alaska, or even visit...But, I'm hooked. Having been born and raised in northern New York state, and still am a NY resident I'm quite acostomed to lots of snow and bone chilling cold weather. My curiosity began at a young age, as my dad served in the service (Sea Bees) and I have photos of them working from one side of the state to another, I think building roads. I can't wait to watch the next season.

    Watching the episode you had the Army truck stuck...you look like you've read the Army Corp of Engineering book on rigging, well done. That old Homelite you're running is running like a top.

    I'm just like a lot of people and would love to live your life style but in reality I would never survive. You obviously enjoy you way of life and make it look easy on tv and your videos but has to be a lot of hard work and physically demanding. Would love to hear some stories about some of the hardships.

    Hey Stan
    Have you ever considered hosting wwoofers at your homestead..??
    Also, I am Fascinated with the Iditarod..!!! I was wondering if Joey had ever shown any interest in entering..??

    • @msmecamecca
      @msmecamecca 7 лет назад +1

      Just In Case your not you're not familiar with the WWOOF, USA program..👇
      The Basics of WWOOFING
      Visitors, or ‘WWOOFers’, spend about half a day helping out on a host farm, learn about the organic movement and sustainable agriculture, and receive room and board during their visit - with no money exchanged between hosts and WWOOFers. WWOOF is an educational and cultural exchange program. WWOOFing is a way to learn practical farming skills, be part of the organic agriculture movement, and experience the heart of American agrarian culture.

    Stan your a badass, ive watched most of your adventures but thats only what was filmed. i wanted to do the lifstyle your living. clean enviromentaly and life off the land. but yeah i know its a hard winter i live in colorado nothing compared to the dark winter. but is there a decent place to start? besides being in a city?

    • @stanzuray
      @stanzuray  4 года назад +1

      Think one needs to travel and check places out. Find somewhere that appeals to you and move there. Easy if you're single or without kids but one can do anything if you put your mind to it.

    what do you have going with that wood stove with the hose going into the side

    • @stanzuray
      @stanzuray  4 года назад +1

      Wood stoves create a vacuum in a house. Air leaves up the stovepipe has to be replaced and just sucks cold air in through cracks etc. The pipe on the side eliminates this vacuum by supplying air from outside under the floor directly to the fire.

    How do you keep warm?
    An old boss always told me "The heat is in the tools!"

    • @stanzuray
      @stanzuray  7 лет назад

      Your boss was right. No matter how good your clothing is if you don't keep your blood moving you will not keep warm on those long days in the cold. Decent clothing is important also. Good saying.
