i did this, was super hyped, but Thrall's son just pissed me off too much was one of the reasons i left the horde with how weak he was
Why his not going too be the new Warchief or something ?

He's like twelve. He's not going to be an instant hero - that takes time. Anduin was very much the same before growing into his own.
