thanks man:) so there 2 scenarios that can take place one is abit risky but could allow you to end up winning fast and the other is safer but you have to be patient and have good timing, safer play: once the rogue opens on you will sit cheap shot and lost about 30% of your hp and once he kidney shots you you will sit that aswell the reason why you should survive those stuns is becasue your stamina should be 2500 or more as iv stated in previous videos stamina is #1 over anything only in pvp so stamina over agility,crit and strength. this is the reason why incase you need to sit stuns or if you dont have a trinket, once your out of the stuns you will most likey be at 40% or 30% hp. you go for an insta blind into bandage and if he trinkets the blind insta vanish into cheap shot and into kidney to even out the playing field. if he blinds you after kindney shot tho you wanna wait for him to sap you again and once he opens with cheap shot u trinket into blind on him. risky play: you insta trinekt the first cheap shot into blind gain distance to where he cannot blind you then restealth, open cheap on him into kidney and he will most likley trinket kidney in which you vanish and either re open him depending on his hp or wait to find him when he vanishes. if he doesnt trinket the kidney you must rupture him and gain distance while cripling poison is on him and restealth and re open
I've seen a few rogues in Discord sleeping on the Orc Hardiness racial, so I'm glad you show it happening against multiple classes here. It's more likely than not that an Orc will resist one of CS or BtE/KS. Here are some probabilities of BOTH stuns landing for my roguey brothers, assuming hit cap: Non-Orcs (5% stun resist) - .95 * .95 = .9025, so 90.25% chance of landing both or 9.75% chance they resist one Non-Orc Warrior w/ 5/5 Iron Will (20%) - .8 * .8 = .64 == 64% chance of landing both or 36% chance they resist one Orc (30%) - .7 * .7 = .49 == 49% chance of landing both or 51% chance they resist one Orc Warrior w/ 5/5 Iron Will (45%) - .55 * .55 = .3025 == 30.25% chance of landing both or 69.75% chance they resist one
very nice guide! though i wish there was more race friendly options, instead of showing what you can do as a undead rogue, because what steps would i take if im on alliance for certain anti-fear's
hey man :) thats the awesome thing about every race it works best vs different classes for example if im a dwarf rogue i would be fighting other rogue in a completely diffrent opener and style since i can have a way out of poison and bleeds but it wont work well vs sp but you still have an upper hand vs warrior and rogue ^^. for undead its just warlocks and dps but other races have benifits vs other class^^.
Love the videos as always. Question - are rogues very unforgiving in SOD? I'm debating leveling one, but still unsure. How would it compare to wrath rogue? I am little put off by the energy tick system in classic, I strongly prefer the steady flow in wrath haha. Also, race wise, is gnome>>>Orc>UD>>everything else? debating which race to roll. hey man :) would say if your looking to get into pvp in sod rogues is definitely not a mistake you win every 1v1 situation and are able to 2 shot people its really fun ^^. compared to wrath rogue there is definitely less setup needed in order to kill your target. yeah i know what you mean haha the energy tick system here is abit annoying but just remember everything is slower paced in vanilla so your opponents will be doing dmg slower aswell:). in terms of race for horde would say orc 100% or alliance dwarf or human
gnome is best if your playing a warrior :). human for perception and you also gain sword skill or go dwarf for stone form to remove bleeds and poison basically cloaks of shadow@ol

It's good to note 0:54 if you cheap before the energy tick rather than waiting for the tick as you say, you'd be at 76 energy after the cheap rather than 60. Much better to gain 20 energy from the tick than 4, same idea behind opening the moment before an energy tick when you're at 100 energy so you replenish right away.

Shadow priest, hunter, meta lock, warrior, paladin. Rogues are not unbeatable you mainly want to beat a rogue by pressur8ng him to waste everything to fast
What you mainly want is to make the rogue pop every cd as fast as possible. Would depend on what class you are ofc, for example I'd your playing a Pala you want to make the rogue waste his trinket asap so insta hoj and the Pala should eat 40% of the rogue hp in that time if the rogue doesn't trinket. Rogues do tend to trinket how out of pressure once rogue losses his trinket the Pala can now save rep to full cc the rogue in order to heal and not waste bubble or trinket and lay on hands
My friend plays a mean melee hunter (night elf) and they have way more than what is shown in this video. They will frost trap you mid combat multiple times, as their trap launcher is a 15s cooldown. NE melee hunter can shadowmeld, and they can use stealth vision goggles/helmet with eagle eyes to see you from far away in stealth.
hey man :) so if the rogue is allowing the hunter to frost trap multiple times then he has a rotation issues or gear problem cause the rogue should be able to kill wiithin 10-12 seconds, if the hunter does scatter shot the rogue the rogue can wait for energy recovery and once hunter launches trap rogue trinkets into shadow step into evasion into sprint the hunter will do be able to handle it. also shadowmeld is only usuable when hes not in combat
Awesome guide. I would have liked to see a few more enhancement shaman examples because of how broken they are right now. During stv event I opened up on an enhancement shaman cheap shot into full kidney he was at 20% hp at this point he pops potion at 5% hp and uses 2 globals: lava lash, wind fury proc earth shock and i was dead 100% to 0

Hey man well for one I wouldn't ever discourage anyone from doing youtube and would say go for it for sure❤ but will also be 100% honest and transparent that it takes a ridiculous amount of work and effort. If your already working a 9 to 5 and wanna do youtube I can tell you myself it's really difficult but I also do love what I do❤. So it feels enjoyable to me for sure but would say if you've already got alot on your plate try posting 1 video a week but if your fort starting out the way thr algorithm works is so random and you would have to make alot of videos to be discovered. I think iv put about 500 days of non stop work and over 1k videos on youtube. It is really enjoyable tho connecting with like minded people and having a sick community ❤!. But just bear in mind that putting maximum will take alot out of you. For example with this video it took me 7 days to create from collecting footage, editing and voice over also not to mention going through other footage that's not fun to use for viewers. Overall I would say go for it:) but don't do the mistake of over working yourself which I had done plenty of times. Find a pace that works for you and your viewers and enjoy the process along the way❤. Also remeber to research your niche before starting since other topics can be abit hard to penertrate on youtube. Really hope your channel does well and hope this helped ❤

Got multiple accounts I pvp with got rank 1 back in season 2 wotlk when I was human. But don't really play for rating anymore just for fun. Might climb to glad in cata tho would depend on the hype
So what you want is too only dodged the first hit to avoid bleed and after that they get a 10 sec buff that allows them to use over power at that moment you do not want to be there for the 2nd hit and you should always be playing the dead zone vs them. Evasion is if you messed up the dead zone and if they charge you then you can trinket the charge into evasion to avoid hamstring or bleed then recover.
yeah with meta lock its the only thing that counters rogues atm the only way to win is to successfully elude life drain and curses in order to reset. since fighting them head on is mathematically impossible the amount of damage a rogue can produce with all crits which is not realistic is not enough to even kill the lock while 50 hp regain tick is happening and 600% Armour including 30% reduction dmg from pets. the only way to win is have 2 successful rets which is difficult but in the next coming weeks they will receive a massive nerf im sure of it. also thank you so much ^^
Nice video as always mate, i would like to point out at 19:50 you say lock can win with death coil, they dont get death coil till level 42. Its why locks kinda suck this phase.
fantastic, this is THE VIDEO I have been looking for as a new rogue. IMO rogue's have the highest skill cap of any class and when you are new, you just suck. this video is extremely helpful in getting better. thank you!!
Just tested it does work, but you have to have poisoned wound stacks on him first before he presses life drain if he presses life drain first then he gets stacks then it doesn't. But overall yes it works
no offense but both bear ferals played that really bad, a good feral who utilizes abolish+survival instincts+frenzied during your evasion and then berserks it would look completely different. good video though!
hey martin :) yes true the druid could have definetley played that off better but, if he did use survival instinct into frenzied regen i could just full gouge him and gain distance, wait for him to run and go human form use between the eyes for a stun and he will die, but that could be a bias view point since i am a rogue haha, also thank you so much ^^
On the pally , as soon he bubble you dont instant vanish, you first sprint and then you vanish out of range of his aoe stuff. Edit: i kept watching the video and i dont like most of the 1v1, are you really good as rogue?
You know that being rogue it's Dogshit in SoD when we're forced to use EVERY SINGLE LONG CD to kill any goddam class, any... it's sad really... Other classes, all of them, can handle pvp in a variety of ways, we do only have 1 way and we still suck at it if we don't use all the skills at our disposal.
Although it's good I do have some criticism with the video. At 12:25 You can see the priest use fear and you don't catch it both in play, or in the video, incorrectly analyzing the play both times and wasting blind. It's not a big deal, but it's a guide after all. You could really make use of a cooldown tracking addon like ECDC, Omni CD, or a WA for this kind of stuff, which is just standard in 2024 for pvp. Pre wotf as a "mind game" is pretty whack advice and I think the clip at 12:25 really highlights it. You waste wotf, he wastes fear, you waste blind, it's just a mess. I'm all for minimalist UIs but I think you're doing a disservice as a guide maker by not using or recommending the most basic CD tracking addons that are fundamental to PVP in the modern era of WoW. You and your audience would benefit by using them, even if you hate addons typically.
hey man :) yeah the one thing i had wished i added was omni CD but was going in with the intent of making the video for fresh wow players who know nothing about wow or rogues, so tried keeping it as simple as possible for them, was worried that showing omni cd would confuse them and also didn't want to talk about addons as much besides energynug since i thought it would be abit confusing to new people, also in terms of the WOF i did state that its my own personal preference and that you don't have to use it pre stun on the priest, its just my own play style that i thought could be valuable to new players, i do find it extremely useful to keep up time on dmg and most of the at least 70% of the time when you do have the priest at really low hp they will want you off them immediately and they do tend to go for fear which is why i say i personally like to Pre wof for mind games to add pressure and predict but was only sharing my 2 cents there for pvp since iv been playing undead rogue for 9 years. i also do agree i welcome criticism in all my videos :) love when people do pay attention to the video and give their own analysis on what could be done better which i do appreciate ^^. been doing RUclips for about a year now and still trying to get the hang of things, one thing i will look into is making a addon guide video for sure for those who are new and Aswell as experienced players that video will come out in 3 days' time.

Also I watch that part and even if the druid did not go human for its still best to blind and it's a good idea to bait him into going human by not chasing like arena stories said. little bro think warrior are a counter and is not running running with the punches or waylay ... warrior can only win a duel against a rogue if they crit like 4 time in a row ( they don't do that often. ) The mage your dueling are all bad and not representative at all ya randomly one shotting bad mage happen all the time reality is they will dot you and ice block and your dead. Also, i wouldn't say fighting enhancement is easy.
Yo littler bro:) well if your facing a warrior who can time their charges correctly then it's pretty much GG and make a rogue waste trinket early and it's over. Also one of the mages in the video was actually Srenix but il let you guess which one^^. Also this video is for people learning to play rogue in SOD so it's for beginners. Mages won't survive an ambush crit and if he blocks and dots its even better meaning no sheep guarantee and insta blind him and if he trinkets blind I have a 2nd one waiting.

Oh that's even better tbh I want the hunter to trinket cheap so he sits full between the eyes. If I cheap into a mutilate and he trinkets cheap I already have 5x combo points. I will wait for him to waste frost trap on me and insta trinket it go in for full between the eyes into 2x mutilate then vanish. He then pops flare I would've already gained 1 energy tick and quick draw. Also have a gearing guide coming up on how to get 2500 hp as a rogue and deal alot of dmg so if he does have a serpent I can eat it's damage and evasion the hunter :)

yeah its actually crazy the amount of stun resists it hits, 70 resistance chance not to mention if it does land they can just trinket lol.

this is great information, however I am not sure how evasion still works on warriors. I poop evasion, then I let him hit me?

Feign retreat so the hunter sends pet, shadowstep on pet to Quickdraw on hunter... absolutely brilliant

fantastic, this is THE VIDEO I have been looking for as a new rogue. IMO rogue's have the highest skill cap of any class and when you are new, you just suck. this video is extremely helpful in getting better. thank you!!

You do know that healing reduction doesn’t work on drain life right? And void sacrifice is a 1k+ shield not 2k
Just tested it does work, but you have to have poisoned wound stacks on him first before he presses life drain if he presses life drain first then he gets stacks then it doesn't. But overall yes it works

no offense but both bear ferals played that really bad, a good feral who utilizes abolish+survival instincts+frenzied during your evasion and then berserks it would look completely different. good video though!
hey martin :) yes true the druid could have definetley played that off better but, if he did use survival instinct into frenzied regen i could just full gouge him and gain distance, wait for him to run and go human form use between the eyes for a stun and he will die, but that could be a bias view point since i am a rogue haha, also thank you so much ^^

On the pally , as soon he bubble you dont instant vanish, you first sprint and then you vanish out of range of his aoe stuff.

You know that being rogue it's Dogshit in SoD when we're forced to use EVERY SINGLE LONG CD to kill any goddam class, any... it's sad really...
Other classes, all of them, can handle pvp in a variety of ways, we do only have 1 way and we still suck at it if we don't use all the skills at our disposal.
3:19 is why rogues piss me off sometimes. attacks into retal for ~10 hits, dodges 7/10 of those hits lol

Although it's good I do have some criticism with the video. At 12:25 You can see the priest use fear and you don't catch it both in play, or in the video, incorrectly analyzing the play both times and wasting blind. It's not a big deal, but it's a guide after all. You could really make use of a cooldown tracking addon like ECDC, Omni CD, or a WA for this kind of stuff, which is just standard in 2024 for pvp. Pre wotf as a "mind game" is pretty whack advice and I think the clip at 12:25 really highlights it. You waste wotf, he wastes fear, you waste blind, it's just a mess. I'm all for minimalist UIs but I think you're doing a disservice as a guide maker by not using or recommending the most basic CD tracking addons that are fundamental to PVP in the modern era of WoW. You and your audience would benefit by using them, even if you hate addons typically.
hey man :) yeah the one thing i had wished i added was omni CD but was going in with the intent of making the video for fresh wow players who know nothing about wow or rogues, so tried keeping it as simple as possible for them, was worried that showing omni cd would confuse them and also didn't want to talk about addons as much besides energynug since i thought it would be abit confusing to new people, also in terms of the WOF i did state that its my own personal preference and that you don't have to use it pre stun on the priest, its just my own play style that i thought could be valuable to new players, i do find it extremely useful to keep up time on dmg and most of the at least 70% of the time when you do have the priest at really low hp they will want you off them immediately and they do tend to go for fear which is why i say i personally like to Pre wof for mind games to add pressure and predict but was only sharing my 2 cents there for pvp since iv been playing undead rogue for 9 years. i also do agree i welcome criticism in all my videos :) love when people do pay attention to the video and give their own analysis on what could be done better which i do appreciate ^^. been doing RUclips for about a year now and still trying to get the hang of things, one thing i will look into is making a addon guide video for sure for those who are new and Aswell as experienced players that video will come out in 3 days' time.

Also I watch that part and even if the druid did not go human for its still best to blind and it's a good idea to bait him into going human by not chasing like arena stories said. Overall iv learned ao much from these guides never stop making them! I tried watching perplexity and he won't explain anything he just says ohh take this talent...

little bro think warrior are a counter and is not running running with the punches or waylay ... warrior can only win a duel against a rogue if they crit like 4 time in a row ( they don't do that often.
) The mage your dueling are all bad and not representative at all ya randomly one shotting bad mage happen all the time reality is they will dot you and ice block and your dead.
Also, i wouldn't say fighting enhancement is easy.
Yo littler bro:) well if your facing a warrior who can time their charges correctly then it's pretty much GG and make a rogue waste trinket early and it's over. Also one of the mages in the video was actually Srenix but il let you guess which one^^. Also this video is for people learning to play rogue in SOD so it's for beginners. Mages won't survive an ambush crit and if he blocks and dots its even better meaning no sheep guarantee and insta blind him and if he trinkets blind I have a 2nd one waiting.

if they did decided to scatter into trap i just trinket into step and full kidney and gg
just medalion ur opener with Freez trap into Intimidate of pet if u medalion Trap Intimidate stun 3 sec besically GG if not hunter gain distance to Africa+ if hunter has Serpent than evasion wont save u :D just saying@@arenastories
Oh that's even better tbh I want the hunter to trinket cheap so he sits full between the eyes. If I cheap into a mutilate and he trinkets cheap I already have 5x combo points. I will wait for him to waste frost trap on me and insta trinket it go in for full between the eyes into 2x mutilate then vanish. He then pops flare I would've already gained 1 energy tick and quick draw. Also have a gearing guide coming up on how to get 2500 hp as a rogue and deal alot of dmg so if he does have a serpent I can eat it's damage and evasion the hunter :)
