Crazy that Lillian Voss has had one of the strongest character arcs since Cataclysm
It’s her rogue skills she’s been hiding from the lore team this whole time
The forsaken, regardless what race and faction I play, will always be my favorite race, I don't know about other games, but WoW letting you play as undead was amazing when I started playing back in late OG vanilla, then learning about their lore just made them feel even more unique to play and regardless of their lore in recent times, the forsaken will always be in my heart :)
I personally like the moral grey concept of WoW, where there isn't an exclusive good and evil faction. Some people want to claim their faction is the good one, but let's be real for a second, both the Horde and the Alliance has done evil things as well as good things. There is no good/evil when it comes to them. It's just about surviving and getting rid of anything that gets in the way of that.
Which is why I hope Blizzard never does another faction war again, at least not on the level of BfA. As a fan of both the Alliance and the Horde, I'm tired of that shit, and I'm tired of people telling me "This is World of WARcraft, not PEACEcraft". We've been at war with the Scourge, the Legion, the Old Gods, the Jailer, and the Primalists. There's plenty of war in Warcraft without us players having to kill each other in- game, and fight on the forums about which side is worse.
On behalf of both Sylvanas fans and haters, I can only pray that Blizzard NEVER BRINGS HER BACK!
We have all suffered for years in two completely opposite ways from how painfully long her terrible plotline was. Please for the sake of us all, let's let bitter memories be past.
Her mutiliated corpse of a storyline has been butchered enough, there's 0 dignity or respect for the dead in trying to salvage it's hacked pieces.
I dont have very high hopes, but join your prayer.
Her arc concluded in WoTLK and was awesome up until that point, but its time to lay her to rest.
@@Gapis321Her story bits in Cata were pretty neat, actually.
But Godfree was a real hero for trying to put her 6 feet under. He knew it all along and tried to protect us
Sylvanas........god.........and now...........we have a HORRIBLE heritage quest-line. Ugh..........how could "The Scarlet Crusade" be THAT stupid?! I mean, come on!
They will bring her back of course, but I agree.
For me, Sylvanas died in Shadowlands, during the fight where Jailor became whole. She died proud of joining him, turning trully "evil" for her own selfish and powerhungry reasons. For me she was always in control, thats what made her character so compleling for me....The thing with split soul and not really being "to blame" for her action was a destruction and decomposition of her whole character and I don't understand why they've done this. (Well I know that the story of BfA was a fault of one person and the main blame lays in him of course, but still)
@@DeaddMax Seriously, DELETE all of the PVP mounts of Shadowlands, REMOVE The Wandering Ancient, TAKE OUT Chompy, the Green Slime Serpent Snake, etc., ERASE "Orobos" and the entire Afterlife, and CHANGE the entire story where Lady Sylvannas opens up the Afterlife place, have the cursed monstrosities FROM the afterlife take over all of Azeroth, and have the entire NEW storyline expansion be about us the heroes of Azeroth take down ALL of the evil monstrosities (from the afterlife) that have taken over Azeroth AND have Lady Sylvannas be the FINAL BOSS of the entire expansion have us take her out once and for all! IF Blizzard does all of that, then I will finally be able to fully forgive them.......but until then.......
Scarlet Crusade, could you not be yourself, FOR 5 MINUTES!?!?!
Pissed that they were brought back, JUST to get their asses kicked
When the Speculation Train crashes & burns on itself.
Scarlet Crusade: Why can’t we just be ourselves? Are you ashamed of us?
The entire community: VERY!
@@minikilla3568 no, only weak minded fools are ashamed of them
Love the real house wife reference
Just played the old Warcraft 3 campaign. She had so much potential as an actual decent leader.
And was living up to it until they made her a fucking warchief
Definitely. The only questionable thing she did there was betraying Garithos. But from a forsaken leadership standpoint, that was the right decision. If they did not do so, inevitably, there would have been war between them later.
Just as between the Horde and alliance after the siege of ogrinmar where Varian decided against Janina giving him just the same correct council (f*** you Varian!).
And in Classic and BC she even showed to be a smart politician. She established a mutually beneficial alliance with the Horde. And later played a major role in getting the blood elves into it as Well, giving her an ally in the north against the alliance and, maybe more importantly the scourge. And in the same move, helping her old people, that she died defending.
@@advocatusdiaboli9971 killing ya boy Garithos was a crime too far. Thats why Garithos didn't like working with those, people, especially an elf..... and an undead elf to boot! Lordaeron is for humanity and for the living!
@@robosoldier11 from any Moral standpoint, you are right. From the rightous pov, the forsaken should have realised that they are as lost to this world as it is to them.
So the correct path would be to forsake their own Future ob atheroth, and instead ensure the Future of the living, by fighting the remaining scourge.
And perish while doing so
@@advocatusdiaboli9971 fair enough. The dead should stay dead and move on. What happened to them is unfortunate but they are a perversion. Caused by magic and the lich king. Now he is gone. Most of the undead under the scourge presumably is gone (except northrend). So unless they make it their mission to clean slate northrend. They serve no purpose. If they unironically want to be tools for another egomaniac and play politics then frankly the world would be justified just wiping them out. I still remember when garrosh of all people lambasted sylvanis for making more undead. Truly a righteously correct moment.
I started playing Warcraft in Cata, and have only played Forsaken. Anyone else feel weird looking at our big characters, and just seeing 3 Alliance members. and so many Night Elves. Or am I just being an Undead Boomer?
Well, if anyone should know that times and circumstances change and you have to adapt to them, it's the Forsaken. lol
There must always be *Ominus Thunder* a Scarlet Crusade!
"somehow Scarlet Crusade returned"
As far as I know with the Forsaken keeping on keeping on, while some rage against the living, some treat undeath as a second chance at 'life' with a second death being the final one.
Well, since we, and the world of atheroth, now know exactly how the Afterlife Looks Like, even the Second death is not the final one.
As far as we know (currently) the final death comes when you somehow get culled in the shadowlands. Like they did to poor ursoc.
I agree, the loyalist part should be available for all! I also would like to see them redeem her storyline.
honestly? missed opportunity to go into details what your undead character was before they died, as much as i love the scarlets and i REALLY love the scarletts i think it couldve been interesting if the game gave us the option to create some background for our undead and then the actuall quests revolve around the story you craft, you would basically craft your backstorry via multiple choice while talking to lilian for example:
lillian: "i do remember what it was like as part of the scarlet crusade, do you remember things from before your undeath?"
player: "i grew up in hearthglen"
"i was raised here in the capital"
"i was born in brill"
"i dont remember"
(and much much more in the same manner)
and then lilian would answer based on your answer and give you a quest if you said youre from hearthglen she would send you to hearthglen to wipe out the scarlets there, then afterwards she could ask something like "being here... does it bring you pain? or does it bring back good memories? tell me of your family"
and then you have answers such as:
"we were simple farmers, it wasnt much, but it was honest work" (yes, that is a refference to the meme because you know blizzard would)
"i was a foot soldier just after basic training.."
"i was a scholar learning to become a priest"
"i dont remember"
et, then lilian could sent you off to collect some family memento's etc, also every time you say "i dont remember" lilian just sents you off to do what she thinks tactically sound while giving you some comforting words for not remembering like "perhaps its for the best, memories bring... pain" etc, it would basically be a create your own adventure type where you have several choices that influence where you go and what you do
People are forgetting that the Forsaken aren't one dimensional, they don't live solely for one purpose, like avenging their undeath, then following the orders of the Banshee queen, they're just dead people, filled with motivations, and reasons not to die.
That last bit with the Sylvanas at the end was actually the best part of this haha
I hate it. Even in her inner monologues she spat on the Forsaken. She won't even apologize, only try to ensure them she's always been on their side. Rubbish.
@@mokarokas-1727 She was absolutely on our side. She was done dirty by an intentionally bad writer.
@@mokarokas-1727LOL where did you ever get such notion ^^'
@@TaeTy45 - See, that's the thing: BECAUSE she was done dirty by bad writers, she canonically wasn't on their side. But they seem intent on changing it yet again.
@@AlexanderForsman - From those inner monologues I mentioned, in the most recent novels. Nothing to LOL about, if you ask me. I'm pissed at how they messed her up.
If u are a mage and u do the story of night elves u get a cute mail from tyrande that we were afraid of arcane but u made us see reason that Arcane could be used good (I was an arcane mage which given me so much love toward that letter ) but over all that quest line sucked so hard
Omg dont even get me started dude, I went in with nigh nonexistent expectations and I was still disappointed.
Someone at Blizz clearly hates Night elves or at least is absolutely soaked in Apathy for them, every alliance heritage has some level of wow we kinda suck/we need to do better.
Worgen one was all about how ya know being a werewolf kinda sucks, I dont have a gnome so I dont remeber much about it other than some stuff with Gnomeregon,
Humans were all about how Stormwind nobility are Corrupt dickheads and the absolutely ABYSMAL night elf one on how thet apparently die alot and were mean to elf mages...that doesnt seem like a celebration of heritage/culture to me, like wow look how the worgen are turning a horrific curse into an unintentional blessing from their sheer determination to control it, or how industrious the gnomes are, how unyielding and Just Stormwind humans are. And how Night elves, like a strong tree adapts and regrows despite how undesirable their environment is.
@@BlueFireDrakka The Dwarfs with their stoneform, and titanic heritage being front and center. However, I think you're missing the point of this heritage questline. Night Elven heritage that made them the supreme power in Azeroth for millennia was Arcane magic. So welcoming them back is accepting their heritage, but questline is pretty meh though.
@@BlueFireDrakka can you guys just stop complaining, I enjoyed the questline. Less is sometimes more.
@@maelictyrsune less is more when the less isn't literal shit
@@BlueFireDrakka I do enjoy RP. It's not really Blizzard's fault that role players get mad over something they do 24/7.
They really went with the "Somehow" plot twist....
It's not really a somehow, it's just something to expect.
27:34 😂😂 "You just have to wait your ...ah, sorry Liutenant, i didn't recognized you at first"
Who can blame him 🤣🤣🤣🤣
FOR THE FORSAKEN ☠️☠️🖤
7:25 It's good Calia is helping out the war effort by casting Levitate on all those forsaken troops.
There was a story where the Forsaken met with their living descendants to try diplomacy and it started to work until something happened.
Sylvanas cunning plan happened.
She realized that reunion could spark a hope that would move then away from her... So she started murdering her own people.
Truky a plan of all time.
Arthas turned her into a banshee. I blame the Alliance .
I'm glad you're having fun again.
Oh Sylvanas we're really in it now
I am a huge fan of the Scarletts since I first found the ashbringer Story. So, I am kinda Always Happy to See them return, though it seems more and more convoluted.
Thankfully, we have the Brotherhood of the light, which by their own words are like the Scarletts but without the corruption in the leadership.
I hope to See more of them in the Future, though their Design is less rad than the Scarlett one.
I think Nobbel summed it up pretty well.
The scarlet crusaders just continuously breed and recruit. Simple as.
@@wikipediaintellectual7088 still, sadly, they should be a non-threat by now. Every Major Base was destroyed. They lost all their Senior Leaders and especially the paladins and priests.
The original crusade Had its strength from old Major members of the silver Hand. These are all gone. Their desciples are gone.
The only explanation I can find that would explain its continued existence and force, is that either Part of the alliance or the argent crusade (now again silver Hand) Support them.
This would actually bei a cool Story. Some alliance corruption! I Always found it cool that there was q Scarlet priest under the cathedral in stormwind. I Wonder If he is still there :)
@@advocatusdiaboli9971
I believe the in-game map of Azeroth is extremely simplified compared to what we see in the lore. There could be scarlet bases and population centers in the northern Eastern Kingdoms that we haven't interacted with.
As for their leadership, enough time has passed that new generations have come to the fore.
Their logo make them look like Canadians 😂
Do the Forsaken have the right to Lorderon?
Where else would they go? Also they were the citizens before they were killed so this is literally their rightfull home.
How are the Night Elven Forsaken Lordaeron citizens? Or High Elven ones?Only some of them can say that the city is home by this logic
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 - Well, it's not just "some" of them that are human, but the vast majority.
The forsaken would legally have lost their right to Lordaeron the moment they died, since at that point they would be under the jurisdiction of the Arbiter.
Plus, they're anti-life abominations of nature existing in direct contradiction to life as we know it. They need to kill in order to reproduce. It's them or us.
I also don't understand why there can even be a debate over this. Humans died and became Undead. Those Undead wanted to rejoin Alliance. Alliance said nah fuck off you abominations and killed them sooo... Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken because the Alliance shit on their right to it when they rejected the Forsaken. Forsaken are part of Horde so it means Lordaeron belongs to the Horde. It is really simple if you're not braindead Alliance biased.
36:25 - Actually, Nobbel, this music isn't all that new. It's the "Forsaken Flame" theme from Battle for Azeroth, Tides of Vengeance. It plays in Darkshore when the Forsaken have control of it.
scarlet crusade are like cockroaches, they’re never going away 😭
"Is NOBODY going to notice?"
Nobody ever said that the Scarlet Crusaders were bright.
There was another video, I thought it was done by you, but I am mistaken, but anyways, that goes over why the Scarlet Crusade in Northrend was only set back, not completely defeated and that there has been movement with them.
I'm assuming Sylvanas is speaking about Nathanos towards the end of that loyalist dialogue. It should be interesting to see what happens should they decide to bring her back at some point.
As a Sylvanas fan, I pray to god that they don't. Sylvanas's story has been butchered enough, there's nothing left to salvage.
She's already been datamined with new model 🤣🤣 similar to wotlk model but modern version
I'm assuming whenever anduin is back they will try to bring back sylvanas at least with flash backs and little quests or like this a message
Definitely possible, yeah.
damn her legion of simps going to be heartbroken
One of my favorite lines has to be when your attacking the scarlet crusade and you go to accept the quest and dark ranger velorana i believe is just like yea we know you could take them out yourself but leave some for us 😂
Velonara but close enough.
When it comes to them not being able to replenish their ranks; do the Undead not still have the Plague? i mean its like a crime against life to use it but that's never stopped them before.
Thank you!!!
So Forsythe is also Mathew Mercer, wow, he went to town on these characters this exp
edit: Mat has a specific tone of voice and the way he interprets gritty characters that he carries with every single one he voices (which is common for every single person obv), here you can hear how he speaks his - ed - words for example, you can figure it out after watching watching him DMing live for 8 years.
edit2: unless it's monsters, then none's the wiser
I played an undead dk and I'm more align with the Ebon Blade, we know how to deal with the scarlet. Shame there is no contents with the dk faction.
I mean, if the Scarlet Crusade cannot tell the difference between the living and the dead. It stands to reason they also cannot tell the difference between the dead and living.
I figure they can, they're just paranoid from the Cult Of The Damned infiltrating Lordaeron and being an integral part of it falling to the Scourge. The cult being made up of living men and women from Lordaeron who hid amongst the normal populace and all that fun stuff.
They have a right, and legitimacy. However, keep in mind that rights and legitimacy can clash, and whoever comes on top gets what they fought for, but the loser still have a right, they just don't have it.
Once again today I am forced to go "Hi Mathew Mercer. Funny seeing you here."
*Somehow, the Scarlet Crusade returned.*
POKEMON MIGHTEYENA HERE THANKS FOR BEING A GOOD STORYTELLER LOVE YA NOBBEL
Dont forget there was at least a few years canonically between Shadowlands and Dragonflight. That is a LOT of time for the Scarlet Crusade to gain power again. There was already signs of their return DURING Shadowlands with the propaganda flyers. They didnt just pop up again out of nowhere.
Faranell voice. Over is coooollll
I think horde members should be able to get undeath insurance. that states once they die they will become undead. i think this insurance should be sold to beings out side of the hord.while it would make the most since to start with members of the hord. after all undeath should be a choice now?
REALLY HOPE THEY COME BACK
Nobody expects the Scarlet Crusade!
we should have seen many shal'dorei in the Scarlet Crusade's ranks
They're racists. They don't recruit non-humans.
I really think if anyone individual stands out to lead the forsaken it should be Lillian. On top of being a great character, she just has this aura of ambiguity that gives the forsaken an edge to stand out amidst the other player races.
Maybe they're in the same boat as sylvanas and automatically go to the maw and a good motivation would be to keep away from their guaranteed spot in hell. Since it's the jailor's magic they're brought back by i imagine that would be where they would go.
Iirc, the end of shadowlands implied that now every Soul gets a Chance to repent to not end in the maw.
When I heard the guards say 'for lorderan', I wish they got it back for them
Might have been said but when you have the two followers in the battle if you cannibalize one of the scarlet corpses you'll get a funny easter egg
Actually "How did the Scarlets get the island" is an important question, as before this it was home base for Ivar and the rest of the feral Worgen, so either they were driven off or killed by the Scarlet Crusade.
I need to find a new job so quick just to get this game and the set of armor
I loved the forsaken heritage armor questline very cool and scarlet crusade continuation story is very welcome! love the forsaken vs scarlet crusade theme💀
*Nobody expects the Scarlet **-Inquisition-** Crusade*
I still love the Scarlet Crusade as minor villains in wow. I’ll give em this, they are tenacious.
I can tell Nobbel doesn't seem to like the Forsaken, but I think as a peoples with full human intelligence, and in this case many of them being original residents of Lordaeron they have as much claim to it as anyone else.
While I don't like her inclusion, Calia is the former princess of that land, you could argue that makes her claim stronger than anyone elses.
There is no argument to be made, it's a fact that Calia being a Menethil automatically makes her claim stronger
As a Scarlet Crusader fan HIT EM AGAIN!
Say what you will they're snappy dressers and I got the full Scarlet sett for my Mag'Har Orc Warrior. Red Orc Knight!
How did the Forsaken not have the numbers to dislodge the Scarlets? Surely after BfA and the years after cataclysm in general, even though they can no longer make more Forsaken, it seems like they should still have a pretty massive force, atleast bigger than any Scarlet group, unless most of the Forsaken army is too spread out across holding onto their territories
hey Nobbel, dunno if u happened to miss off Alonsus Faol, or you just happen to not know who that guy is. actully i am quite surprise to see him stand among all other forsakens, as he's one of the most important figures in WOW history, blessed by the light, teacher of the four head paladins and Benedictus who succeeded to the bishop of stormwind’s church from the his hands. he's a lengend of lengeds, just cant imagine how he might feel after being summoned as forsaken......😂😂
He was one of the first to be risen i think, back when Arthas did it
Nobbel knows all about him, and covered it extensively when he and Calia were introduced in Legion (priest campaign only). Eventually they both joined the Forsaken. He and Anduin shared a mutual respect, which is partly why Anduin agreed to the Forsaken-human meeting.
@@mokarokas-1727 oh indeed, how silly of me! He’s one expert of wow by any standard lol it’s just that I got excited to see an old face and i had long subscribed to his channel but just follow the updates once a while due to work reason. Thx for that reminding, I’ll go check that episode, really interested in how that ever greater bishop would feel being turned into a forsaken.

anyone know the name of the music that plays when we're attacking scarlet crusades?
Somehow, the scarlet crusade returned.
27:09 “Hi fellow Scarlet Crusaders.”
The Scarlet Monastery was only a setback!
What you mentioned about the history of the scarlet crusaders is incorrect, the argent Dawn was form after the crusader got corrupted. It was not there at the same time as its creation. Due to the corruption and the racism, whatever his name is split from the crusader and created the argent dawn.
I know im a bit late to the party, but didten Slyvanas promes Lordaron to the humens, for helping taking down the dred lords. Sooo it do belong to the humens of Lordaron, but how many of them a left now a day?
i have a feeling that the next expac is going to give undead 'forms' which is just a dead version of other races.
i thought it was Varian's great great grand father that was killed by gnolls.
the issue with giving gilneas back is they would have to figure something out for the goblins. another alliance city means somewhere another horde city has to be made to keep parallels between factions.
kind of cool to see forscythe use a shadowlands weapon and shield though it makes me question if he was receiving aid from the shadowlands.
Somehow... the Scarlet Crusade returned...
I'm still salty, I've been saying they were grooming Voss to lead the Forsaken after Sylv since Cata and they went with this.
Hard agree with the Sylvanas bit, she's not just talking to the loyalists, she's talking to all the forsaken. It shouldn't be gated.
I agree too. I was wondering how this restored Sylvanas feels about the Forsaken, and it seems she no longer sees them as pawns, but as a family.
Forsaken already has squatters right since they been holding it for years
Corpses cannot squat. They are corpses.
@@advocatusdiaboli9971 Corpses also can't walk around, hence why they're called undead. So yeah, they can squat
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 that is a non sequitur. Having the ability to Walk around does not imply that you are able to squat.
Just as the ability to speak does not make you intelligent xD
It does make me curious: what DOES happen to all the flesh they cannibalize? lol
Sooo the scarlets are like the legion now? Do they reform somewhere or how do they keep on returning?
This is in the Dragonflight time period, so they've had 8-10-ish years to recruit in secret since being decimated. It's lame, but quite possible.
Also, I wouldn't wonder if many of them came from the Stromgarde restoration attempt considering their newfound ambitions of remaking the kingdom of Lordaeron.
How is he riding invincible. I can clearly see the mount lol
That joke only makes sense if the horse was named Invisible.
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 well maybe you miss the point that people have had the joke about the mount for years
The questline itself seems cool but....wasn't Fenris Isle supposed to be controlled by Ivar's pack after 4th war? Also literally HOW is Scarlet Crusade still around. We were beating them since Vanilla, most notably during Wrath and in Legion we wiped out the last of them as death knights. I feel like it would be more believable if someone like Thule Ravenclaw came back with Scourge army instead but eh, I guess it's easier to bring back our favourite Scarlet punching bags.
They've had almost a decade in universe to recruit new members and rebuild the order.
I've always wondered but never asked. Why can invincible fly?
Because players wouldn't like it if he couldn't. No lore behind it, but one could say Arthas gave him magic wings at some point? He could turn Vrykul into counterfeit Val'kyr, so it shouldn't have been too hard.
@mokarokas-1727 thanks.
Gameplay is why
Were you avoiding my boy Derek on purpose?
You didn't speak to him a single time 😂
He had no clickable lines as far as I could tell!
@@Nobbel87 That's a shame. With more and more prominent forsaken with close ties to the Alliance (Derek, Calia, and Alonsus of the top of my head), I was hoping for more lines addressing the relationship between the two factions.
"somehow the Scarlet crusade"
dear god they are like freaking roaches at this point.
WHY ARE THEY STILL ALIVE?! those guys are insane they should have been destroyed a long time ago, wtf Blizzard.
I mean, let's consider the following:
Lordaeron was once known as a kingdom of beauty and resilience. A place of hope, peace, strength, and wonder. A place filled to the brim with history that spanned from the as far down as the Wetlands to the outskirts of Quel'thalas. When Arthas razed so much of the kingdom to ash, it left many very angry people not just in Lordaeron, but across the other surviving human kingdoms. When the Scarlet Crusade came around, offering change and requesting assistance in purging the Undead with extreme prejudice, many would've likely taken up that chance to reclaim Lordaeron. Many would join, likely for differing reasons, but with a single connecting thing being to reclaim Lordaeron for the living. The Crusade itself has many converts and secret recruiters still asking for people to aid them in their efforts, which many would see as noble. Why wouldn't they, since the Scourge were and still are monsters that have ravaged across many parts of Azeroth and taken the lives of so many. The Forsaken, meanwhile, claim to be better than the Scourge, yet still do unspeakable and monstrous acts to the still living of Lordaeron and to the environment of the kingdom itself. They twist and experiment on living, breathing people who's only crime was being in Lordaeron. Lest we forget the mind slave in Undercity or the RAS' experiments with various plagues. The Forsaken would be, in many of these people's eyes, just a splinter of the Scourge that needs to be put to the sword.
It matters not which human kingdom you hail from. The undead defile all people equally and would destroy the world. So, these people that the Crusade talks to feel compelled to fight them. To save their families, friends, and kingdoms from those that would attempt to destroy them all. To liberate Lordaeron from the vile Forsaken, who choke it with plagues and decay. To stop people from raising those meant to be rest eternally into a life of undeath, where every moment is an agonizing mockery of their original existence.
In short, the Crusade still exists because they have people going out and converting people to their faith with both fantasies of a better tomorrow and the dark reality of what the Forsaken are. It's like how NAZIs are still a thing despite what we did to them during World War 2. Sure, many of them are dead or in hiding, but some escaped, and much of their documents still exist and inspire many new people to take up the same mantle, even if it is unquestionably an awful choice in all due reality. However, the Scarlet Crusade, while undoubtedly awful, has genuine points in regards to the Forsaken being monsters that need to be put down. It's not discrimination, it's simple fact.
There from the base in northrend
Except those got turned into undead, and came back and settled in their old base in Stratholme... where they were killed off. Again. The LIVING remnants were driven out of Hearthglen and Tyr's Hand, and properly finished off in their Monastery. Again. No, these are entirely new recruits, but considering it's been about 8-10 years I can accept that.
I did the Forsaken heritage quest with my warlock last week. He was a Sylvanas loyalist, not because of any particular love for the Banshee Queen, or hatred towards the Alliance. Mr. Evil is a greedy bastard on a never- ending quest for power, and staying with the Dark Lady was a natural choice for him at the time.
Mr. Evil's quest for power continues on the Dragon Isles, but he does return to Lordaeron occasionally, to assist the Desolate Council.
Dark lady watch over you
I wish Mr. Evil all the best in his endeavours.
Ok, The big "F" word to that guy and his phoenix mount. For real, we are trying to enjoy the lore and here he is with his GIANT RED GLOWING SMALL D ENERGY just right there.
It's just a mount who gives a fuck
The forsaken are the people of Lordaron that died the scarlet crusade are a part of the people that survived Both have the rights to retake Lordaron. but what i dont get is that the forsaken dont go to the shadowlands to begin there promised afterlive and are still rotting in lordaron no valkyr no new undead and over time thy will all rot and loose there sanity right... and last if Garithos and his troops diddent get betrayed by sylvanes in wc3 "or escaped" and joined the scarlets things might of turned out diffrently.
I feel it'd be more likely the Scarlets would join Garithos, not the other way around. He did rally the bulk of Lordearon's forces after it's fall
Calia does not really look the part or the undead leader but blizzard seems to move away from "dark edgy" aestetics these days
Yes. Everything should go back to the Trolls. 😂
Nah. Only people get rights to Land.
@@advocatusdiaboli9971 - Dat be rude, mon!
Lilian Voss, really?
The Scarlet Crusade aren't baaaad guys. I mean, the Forsaken certainly aren't good at all.
The Scarlets are morally grey in my humble opinion. Are they entirely good? No, and they deserve the terrorist label they get from the Alliance in some capacity. They'd likely come after the Alliance next, or at the very least try to force them out of Lordaeron as a whole, seeing only those loyal to the Crusade as fit to see Lordaeron. But, they are leagues and bounds better than the Forsaken are, that much is certain.
would be cool if the scarket crusade joins the alliance or start being friendly to the forsaken one of the ways would be cool
Anyone else think it's kinda lame they gave Calia the 'pallid lady' title and Derek the champion title? Like a cheap copy of Sylvanas and Nathanos.
No, it's SUPER lame. It really hammers home what they were going for, and they should've let it go and not give them those titles.
Its not new music they reuse battlefor darkshore music
I really hope they don't bring Sylvanas back at least not for a long time, even if she gets good development, she had way to much time in the spot light and the game is better of without her.
how they treated my dark lady since BFA still pisses me off
Tbh, I did not like the change of the forsaken after wotlk already.
The forsaken hated Arthas so much for Killing them and all they knew and turning them into Monsters. And right after he is down, they do THE EXACT SAME THING to Others. The lich queen was Born then and there Imho.
Of course, the Story of sylvanas in shadowlands and leading Up to it was sooo much worse.
@@advocatusdiaboli9971 If blizzard had something planned, the whole "take revenge on bad guy = become next bad guy" thing with Sylvanas may have carried over to Genn and Tyrande.
But as it is, it really just feels like between WOTLK and CATA, somebody at Blizzard just really really really hated her character, and dedicated everything they could, including the game's quality, to making everyone else hate her as much as they did.
@@donjezza10 i mean, I get that they needed a new motivation for her and the forsaken.
And the Story of her ending Up in hell and wanting to stay out of it is fine. But the methods used Afterwards to achieve it make it a bad development decision.
I think a more Natural decision would have been to try and find salvation from their curse. If not to come Back to Life, at least to save their Souls from hell after final death.
They could even do that in their typical forsaken grim-dark manner. Like: Experiment on what Brings you to hell or Not, by Killing some living ;)
I hated that jhate turn them into monsters, no you dont blame the victurms for wanting payback for what happen to them Sylvanan was never become arthas the only perrson to ever say that orc hitler and we dont by his bullshit@@advocatusdiaboli9971
no the people who hated her char didnt get the job to BFA when got known sexusit female lwriter on board aka christ golden@@donjezza10
It's funny how all the Royal Dreadguard are risen Scarlett Crusade.
Where in the lore does it say this?
The undead don't curse the land, the curse is what created them. Healing the land seems like a good reason to stick around. The entire northern section of the Eastern Kingdoms needs extensive work, and there are a lot of forces trying to prevent it from happening. The Argent Crusade kept getting attacked by all and sundry too. Have they just forgotten that they brought back Danath Trollbane as well? What is he up to? So like no, the Forsaken aren't done. The consequences of Arthas' actions are still affecting people.
Yeah and the land was cursed by the Scourge, a bunch of undead.
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 did you just forget the bit where Arthas was very very much ALIVE when he did all that? The undead are not responsible for the curse, they are the products of it.
@@sophiejones3554 Arthas was alive, the bulk of the undead scourge was not. Arthas didn't do everything by himself.
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 they were soldiers conscripted to fight a war, yes. That however, wasn't what we were talking about here. We were talking about the soil being cursed. There is no suggestion in any of the lore that undead characters walking around curse the ground beneath them. Like, if that were true the Horde would never have let them in and certainly Cairne Bloodhoof wouldn't have actually spoken on their behalf. And also there would be a little more than just a singular strip of cursed earth through the middle of Quel'thalas. I didn't *say* Arthas did it all by himself. You don't see the Forsaken employing Necromancers and Death Knights to prepare the ground for them whenever they go somewhere, now do you? You know, like the Scourge always did in Warcraft III (and as has been shown numerous times in various 3rd War flashback scenarios in the game). It takes seriously powerful mages and DKs to accomplish something like that, and they have to be doing it consciously. It's not a passive effect from undead walking around, which you would know if you paid attention when you played the game.
If you like the idea of undead passively cursing the ground around them wherever they go, that's cool and you should write your own novel or movie or game or whatever. However, that has nothing to do with Warcraft lore.
@@sophiejones3554 Why are you such a dick? Talking about cursed soil and Warcraft 3 forgetting undead buildings literally corrupt the land around them. And that they had an item their heroes could use to spread more blight. I'm done wasting my time with you.
56:10 Going to have to respectfully disagree here.
If they made this for everyone, we would have a huge influx of people complaining about Sylvanas either getting more screentime or her being "out of character".
Sylvanus hasn't been in character since before BFA so it doesn't matter
Considering that Sylvanas was intentionally sabotoged by a crappy writer, I hope the Forsaken eventually get her back and we get some proper closure. What we have so far? I like it. Those of us who stood beside Sylvanas in the quests knew that she never hated the Forsaken. We are her people.
She wasn't sabotaged. The writer was just being used as a scapegoat. They had 8 patches to correct the course her character was on and they didn't. No single writer did this.
Arthas turned Sylvanas into a banshee. I blame the Alliance.
just purge all undead! Revenge for Darnassus!!
And Gilneas!
And South Shore!
And those cursed with undeath by the lich queen and her valkyr!
And the wrath Gate!

@@simonbehrendt2781 you mean jailor or the horde because they tend to start and Genozide stuff
Why do they keep trying to push Calia on us, no one likes her, she is literally the worst character they've added since Med'an.
You're comparing a literal Marty Stu to a Princess that has barely done a thing since taking power. This is the most screentime she's had since Legion. Overall Calia is far less offensive than Med'an.
Speak for yourself
Really amazed by Blizzard's ability to make me dislike Forsaken and Scarlet Crusade, which were once my favorite factions in the game. They really can't help themselves
Why do you hate the Scarlet Crusade, exactly?
@@ttpbroadcastingcompany.4460 They feel like a goofy comic relief now that's more of an annoyance rather than a real threat, imo that really ruins such an iconic faction
@@mikhi7866 How're they goofy? I mean, them being an annoyance instead of a threat nowadays? That makes sense, given how many times we've pushed them back and have beaten them down. But goofy? Not really. Unless we're talking about the Scarlet Brotherhood stuff, but that may be a whole other topic.
@@ttpbroadcastingcompany.4460 Well, a serious threat, that was beaten down so many times they've become just a background annoyance basically loses all the respect it had and kinda becomes goofy. Not to mention it feels like they're just a caricature of Irl racists at this point, rather than an order of zealots. But you've mentioned Scarlet Brotherhood, maybe I'm not up to date with the full lore but what's the difference?
@@mikhi7866 Basically, the Brotherhood are completely bonkers people who say things like Anduin is in love with Sylvanas and that they'll ally themselves with the Worgen to destroy the Alliance and the Forsaken, but then betray Genn and his people when all is said and done. As for being caricatures of racists? I don't see it. Flanderization of what they are, perhaps, but not really caricatures of racists.
I guess you can be as debaucherous and sadistic as you want if you happen to be useful to the horde.Clan pestila- i mean the forsaken really boggles your head if what makes them any different than the scourge. *Squeak*squeak*
To be honest, the forsaken can learn a few things from the skaven

They really have become a poor man's Scourge after WotLK. They raise the dead (or they use too anyway) and use a plague to wage war. All they're missing is the mind control.
