    Does this backbox screen work with native Legends pinball tables?

    • @kullanma
      @kullanma 2 года назад +1

      Seriously, I just ordered this but I will likely cancel if it does not support the native tables. It didn't even occur to me that it wouldn't lol. I wish they would just answer this. It looks like they are avoiding answering it though.

      no, its an otg only solution

      They should put the fact that it doesn’t work with the native pinball tables in the description of the product.

    Very cool! So if you want to switch back to everything that's on the Legends pinball machine can you do that and still play it like it originally was configured just through your back box? But then then can you switch back to THE PC like you described in the beginning? Because I like how the exciters with the heptic feedback and the plunger and all that stuff works on the original configuration but love how the new stuff looks when it's going to your modded box. Wondering how the original stuff looks through your box?

      I finally got a response from GameRoomSolutions, and he informed me the backbox ONLY works in OTG mode. It will NOT let you run ANY of the included tables, or tables you downloaded into the Legends Pinball table. The mod is just for those who simply want, or need to bypass the AtGames assets, and maybe don't want to go the whole rout of building a big table.

  • @Raskull
    @Raskull 3 года назад +3

    I am also curious if this is an OTG ONLY solution. I didn't see any mention in the product listing or this video that the 19" display will work with stock ALP tables. Since there was also no mention of VIBS, I am really getting the impression that this is OTG ONLY and one would have to put the original back box on to get Backglass support for stock ALP tables.

    • @funtyes1970
      @funtyes1970 3 года назад

      cuz it don't work with stock ALP tables . this is only for OTG mode only .unless you can take out your other screen from your stock backglass box and put that monitor in that new backglass box that only way it would work with your stock tables .probably why they have that option when you buy it (Remove 10.1″ DMD Monitor and Cut) so you can put in your own DMD monitor screen . only way ALP plays stock tables you havee stock screen in new backglass box . that why buystuffarcades pretty much have best backbox for atgames legends pinball machine cuz they use stock ALP monitor for there DMD but it a lot of money . buying from buystuffarcades there backglass box is like $600 and this place is only $400

      @@funtyes1970 I agree. They should of made better real estate to make it work with stock 15" as default. Most people do not want to ditch the stock tables.

    Would you please tell me how you cut the whole for the DMD screen? Did you have to cut the plexi glass and like the wood of the back box? If so did you use what tool to cut through it? Like an exacto knife? I just would like any info you could give on how you cut through the back box, plexi and wood. I just bought a 7inch monitor for mine. Thank you

    Purchased your backglass
    Issue I am having is when I load my game/game starts, the backglass loads to the did screen, sticks there. Any idea how to fix this? Everything looks fine, normal until game loads...then immediately backglass shows up on dmd with backglass just as black screen (which can be moved around). Thanks

      @FloydWarren13 3 года назад +2

      @@misterchip1984 Someone else asked the question in another comment and ArcadeModUp replied saying it didn't. Reading the items description above it appears that both monitors use a HDMI connection. The stock backbox monitor uses EDP. It also is 1920x1080. Only the DMD on the ArcadeModUp box is 1920x1080 and it is only 10", so you would have to downsize your stock screen size if you could somehow make it work. You would still need a VIBS board, not included, and the 10" monitor would also have to support EDP. They don't mention it as a feature, so I wouldn't count on it.
