your boot up videos are something pretty special . I saw someone do a review of a cab he purchased and played one entire video and it was really awesome . if its allowed , i would recommend that you put up a video showing those. Really great work
The reason the sides of the control panel are raised, is that's how they are on the full sized coin operated cabinets. That's what Arcade1up was emulating. However, on the 3/4 scale, if you don't know the correct way to use a joystick, then yes, the current form of the Midway, and Capcom Legacy cabinets will be uncomfortable. This mod will be a help for those who can't keep their hands, and wrists off the control deck. Very cool. Thanks for sharing this.
I bought the control deck mod, received it extremely quickly, it was super easy to install and it’s exactly what I wanted. 5 Stars! Thanks! I understand they made it to look like the original, (sides coming up higher than deck), but at 3/4 scale it was less than optimal. Also can’t believe they made the light up marquee block your view. Now I just need a riser mod to raise the riser a few inches. The cabinet is just slightly too short with the view obstruction. I prefer playing standing up.
man i was so excited for this. i put together and was ready to play. But i have no picture and the sound comes on for bout 10 seconds and then it cuts off. Hopefully tech support can help.
I have the 3/4 joust cabinet. Can someone point me a link and tell me which cabinet I select on the drop down list? Joust isn’t on that list, does that mean doesn’t work for a legacy joust?
Awesome! Definitely need this for my legacy cab. I have a suggestion, maybe put the pi in a case? This way mounting is even easier and snorting it out is impossible.
I bought the same components for audio but am not getting audio in games. Menu and videos work but so soind in game. Im also using a 20" dell monitor. Would inalso need an hdmi audio extractor to get sound?
what all is needed and how much is this to do this exact mod. I went to the website and there’s tons of add ins and what not I wanna make sure I get the right parts, thanks!
How are the joy sticks? The factory springs aren’t the best for fighting games so I buy an upgrade spring and gate kit from diy retro arcade and was wondering if I should install the kit on to this deck before I install it…thanks
? what do i half to buy to add the thousands of games is it the hole kit starting at like 329 dollors are can i get it by itself. i’m gonna buy the kit but i half to wait a few months i definitely know i’m buying the 1080 this week. can’t wait to hear from you i have a mk2 legacy cab
In your installation you used a separate amp for sound. Would it be possible to wire up the top speakers directly to the LCD controller's amplified speaker output instead? And if so, do you sell that adapter cable?
@@arcademodup2286 Thank you for your reply. I meant the 4 pin speaker connection on the LCD controller. Basically like this... ruclips.net/video/xikP1jgPuHY/видео.html
Does the Arcade1Up Mod Kit Bundle for the Capcom Legacy Cabinet include the Control Panel Riser kit that's also offered on your site? Or would that need to be added on?
I got both the Capcom and Midway legacy cabs back in May but I haven't assembled either of them yet because I'm holding out for products like this to address their shortcomings. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the Boss Control Deck from 99livesarcade (I am unsure about my skills splicing the wiring and it is almost as expensive as buying a whole A1up cab) or if I just want to go with the this product (way cheaper, keeps stock control panel but doesn't address the possibility of the side art peeling from the left from my hand rubbing up against it because the plexi still doesn't overlap the edge) Anyone have any opinions on these two products?
If the shims from the control panel riser was just a bit thicker to raise it flush with the side without the plexi-glass and if there was a wider plexi-glass to overlap the side (kinda like what this guy did ruclips.net/video/DbehNGQjZhs/видео.html&ab_channel=8-BitVinyl But he's not selling his) Then it would be an instant buy for me... *hint, hint*
hi! Would you mind explaining to me how you wired the controls, I understand that you always have to wire controls to an individual board per control and this is via usb to the rasberry pi, but how do I connect the trackball? Individually via usb or is it wired next to the card of any control? thanks
Great job. I don’t even have a legacy but it’s nice to see how easy you made this. I have modded a couple 1ups myself and I would buy your kit if I didn’t know how.
Innovative products but terrible support. I purchased 3 cabs and multiple extra monitors spending over $2k yet they refused to send me missing cam bolts from one of the bundles and was rude. Take that into consideration if buying
If you want me to be honest here it costs $7 to ship 1 bolt. It's a lot easier for you to get it at a local hardware store or if you have a shop should be able to find a replacement bolt. Yes it's unfortunate they were rude to you but I also work for a company that ships bikes. Bolts go missing all the time. We always offer to send you a refund and just get the bolt locally. It's cheaper and faster.
@@Tonyplat98 I tried and they didn’t have the size needed. I made due shorting some spots, would never buy another thing from this company due to their treatment.

Good to know!
I know this is a year late but, the original cabinet had a slanted deck so, the sides were less impactful.

Those offset buttons are a pass for me. Straight layout or die.

You do need the amp if you're installing the pi.

You need an amp. You can run from 3.5mm on lcd controller to amp instead of from computer.

Yes. Contact through site.

Yes. Will work for stock or mod
