Beggars can't be choosers, I'd take either and be thrilled with that. I'm actually thinking of a DIY table of my own just using an old PC and Pinball FX3. It allows you to put the monitor in portrait mode, then it's just building it out. I don't even need the back screen to be honest... Just a functioning table that looks clean is all I can ask for...
Thank you for the comparison, I can't wait for mine to arrive later with SSF installed. Hopefully, It will come undamaged. It's scary from what I've been hearing from some folks, and maybe... another performance update by then 😎
I really like how they removed the "Legends Pinball" marquee at the top of the back box and the AtGames branding between the speakers...looks SOOOOO much better without it, especially in a darker room.
No question the HD is still incredibly fun to play. I barely glance at the backglass/DMD while playing a table and the 1080p screen does a fine job. While the 4K is better, I wasn't unhappy with the HD.
Thank you for this great side by side comparison!👍 Off topic: 1up needs to make that Star Wars in the XL. As soon as they do, I'll bite. It's my all time favorite arcade game but, I refuse to give them money for it until they make it bigger. I have the PacMan XL and the size is just big enough for me to enjoy it.
Been thinking of buying one and at first i was like why is the new version twice as much?? After looking into upgrading the backbox and adding the vibs board to the original HD version, you're basically paying for the upgrades you're going to eventually do anyway. Price point makes sense.
Cool ! Thank you. 😊 you the first person who did that , that is cool. Do you run into any problems went you got yours. I hear people are telling us that they have shipping issues, meaning that they got it but some things were broken.
My pleasure! I should have shot it that way the first time, but was so excited to get it into its spot. I did not have any problems with damage in shipping. Everything arrived in great condition and setup was a breeze.
I love the 5K but for the extra money, I think I'll buy the older one. It's all I really need, and I really don't want to put over a thousand in a game system. I can easily see some spending $2500 with games and mods.
Oh the 4K gets the most play by 100%. I haven't powered the HD on in months and am about to sell it. I've really been enjoying the 4K with the SSF kit.
I would be interested to know the actual difference in size of the playfield. I know it is 32in. Is it 22" Wide, how long? And how much of it is the control panel?
They are practically identical in those dimensions. 19" wide, same exact control panel. If you're looking down at the playfield, they look the same (other than the resolution). The main differences are in the size of the back box and the playfield cabinet box is taller.
Yes, I can do that. I just finished building my new PC for OTG and finishing up the configuration this week. Overall impressed with the OTG experience on the 4K so far.
Thanks for the direct side-by-side. Looking at both from a physical standpoint it's hard to tell the difference-- the 4KP is slightly longer and has a bigger back and added addams marquee. I know the resolution is better on the 4KP but considering the hefty price bump, I don't think it's worth it outside of tables unique to the 4KP that you really need. I got my HD from Sams a couple of years ago on clearance and seeing that the 4KP is over $1200 more than my HD is just not worth it considering all the upgrades you get on 4KP. The 4KP needs to drop in price considerably imho.
Another thing to consider if you already own the HD is that the old tables don't appear to work on the new cabinet and need to be repurchased. I'm just going to attach a PC to it and use OTG.
I really liked the look of them, but the reality was that I didn't actually play 'em. I did all my actual gameplay on the multicade pedestal, because it's a better experience. I held onto the Star Wars and Ridge Racer, since I don't have those controls on the pedestal, and pinball, because it's pinball! ;)
They are good. Feel better than the ones in my HD and there's no buzzing from loose plastic. I do turn the solenoids off. They are too loud and the sound really carries.
I agree! Not keeping the HD. Have an interested buyer, so hopefully it'll be gone soon and free up the space. Going to miss having all those tables though!
How does the SSF sound on the HD? Mine Rocks and Rolls on the 4KP. 6.1 sound puts you right in the middle of the game. I haven’t played a HD, but I wouldn’t give up mine.
Hey Danny. Still miss your Gameroom with all the A1UPs😢 but that 4k looks amazing. They are having a sale right now atgames I can get the HD pinball for 749 with shipping. Is it worth getting the HD vs the 4k. I love the snoopy ALP but it’s twice as much. If you can give me a recommendation or your opinion knowing you own Both. Thanks
Thanks, the new one looks so much better !
I love everything they've done with the 4KP. Thanks for posting the side-by-side.
From one danny to another... Nice comparison buddy! Enjoyed seeing the side by side details in real time
3 screens and Cabinet looks better for sure.

Good luck 😂😂😂😂😂

Agree 100%! The machine looks much nicer than the previous ALP cabinet.
side by side comparison is great. WTG Atgames!
HD still holds up pretty well, and for the price difference C'mon!
No question the HD is still incredibly fun to play. I barely glance at the backglass/DMD while playing a table and the 1080p screen does a fine job. While the 4K is better, I wasn't unhappy with the HD.
definitely agree!

@@11BravoMike An XL Star Wars would be amazing.

Ok one improvement on the 4K model, the on-screen guide is more clear as to which button does what. They should update the HD model similarly.
Would be nice to see them offer the 4K's UI on the HD. It's quite nice.
What happened to all your 1ups? You had a great set-up....Always enjoyed your content

Nothing at all wrong with the old one, especially if you can find a used one for a good price.
can anyone tell me what 15 games come with the new pinball and if they are all 4k res ?
Is the new 4k table that much better for the price compared to the HD table.
Pick up a control deck when you get a chance. It’s well worth the $. Nice video
I had one for the HD, but it stopping working, so I removed it and reinstalled the original control deck.
Which is the pinball that is more fun - 4K or HD? Which one do you play more?

any chance you can do otg and show responsiveness comparison?
Yes, I can do that. I just finished building my new PC for OTG and finishing up the configuration this week. Overall impressed with the OTG experience on the 4K so far.
@@DannyWelchsounds great! Nice comparison also found you flipper lag test you did before thank you!
real question is, can the 4k backbox work with the HD? if so, well my problem is solved!!!!
Definitely not stock, but someone might develop a conversion kit. Although I'm not sure they'll ever sell the backbox separately.
Thank you. New one is way nicer. I like the hd a lot so that is saying something.
I really enjoyed the HD, which is why I was so quick to order the 4K. I still think the HD is a great table.

You got rid of all the arcades!? What happened!? 👀

I held onto the Star Wars and Ridge Racer, since I don't have those controls on the pedestal, and pinball, because it's pinball! ;)
@@DannyWelchsold all mine off too.
How are the front speaker haptics? Do you feel any haptic feedback on the tables?
They are good. Feel better than the ones in my HD and there's no buzzing from loose plastic. I do turn the solenoids off. They are too loud and the sound really carries.
How much taller is it ? A few inches ? I’m only 5”7 and I had to bend to play the HD
Can you play both HD and 4K purchased tables at the same time?
If you mean under the same login, yes. They seem to be completely separate.
Howell Street
Reynolds Pines
Altenwerth Mission
Angeline Inlet
4k a bit nicer but not $700 nicer....no way!
The 4K looks a lot better. Are you keeping the HD?
I agree! Not keeping the HD. Have an interested buyer, so hopefully it'll be gone soon and free up the space. Going to miss having all those tables though!
Not worth it over the hd
