The dragging part makes Kong's feat feel more impressive and it seems like it was a further distance. He was surprised that Goji didn't get back up so he took his chances.
Kong admits he had the wind knocked out of him from the Suplex.
it explains that Kong always knew that Godzilla exisited but didn't care because he's to busy surviving, and vice verse, Godzilla knew Kong existed but didn't care as long as he never left his island.
Kong actually dislikes the surface now.and is totally fine with his agreement with Godzilla.
Kong can't understand Godzilla at all, describing him as incapable of talking and sign language, only making growels and roars, but they can generally understand intent.

I felt like throughout the movie that Godzilla knew what King Kong was talking about but he simply wasn't trying to hear it. He probably thought he was bullshiting 😂

@@cky7765 It was stated throughout the film that Godzilla was gathering energy to evolve specifically so he could fight Skar’s army AGAIN and that kong was meant to stay in the hollow earth or Godzilla would get pissed of that he was on his turf.
I've also heard rumors that the reason Godzilla attacked Kong was because when Kong let out his roar, he accidentally let out an alpha call, making it sound like to Godzilla that he was challenging him for the crown.
This makes the most logical sense, but Godzilla is also amped up and looking for a fight.

Godzilla may respect Kong for saving him but that doesn't change the fact that a deals a deal. He stays down in the hollow earth and Godzilla stays on the surface. Now that he understands he understands why he came up to the surface thanks to Mothra he'll let it slide. 1:40 are you really surprised that Godzilla can hear Kong from the other side of the world? Really that's what all the titans can do. This has been established in the first movie

Exactly. They all can hear each other. They practically can SEE with how they hear each other. One one end of the world, two titans could get aggravated and fight each other, Godzilla would hear them and go over to them and stop the fight.

I love how they give godzilla and kong a wide arrange emotions, like how godzilla immediately softens up as soon as he sees mothra
A lot of people seem to forget that Kong IS an Alpha Titan, a Titan with the potential to kill Godzilla. When Kong showed up in Egypt and called out to Godzilla, Godzilla probably took that as a challenge, and with the distress call happening he probably saw Kong showing up as just one more thing he had to deal with, and deal with quickly
While you're right, don't expect fans to understand that. They don't even get that in Egypt none of them won.
So keep expectations low
Im not referring to Kong when I say this but just because you're an alpha, that doesn't make you equal or as strong as another alpha.
@whoanelly2605 He didn't say Kong was equal. He said he had the potential. The same thing happened with Gidorah, although a lot of Goji fans will be mad. Gidorah was, in fact, stronger than Godzilla. But since Godzilla is an alpha Titan like Gidorah, Godzilla had the potential to kill Gidorah and that's what he did.

The next film is said to be about godzilla. I think kong got enough for now. Since godzilla had really been a side monster character these past two films
I think Kong's story will be muted until they bring in space Godzilla or Destroyah. And Kong will bring his army of apes +shimo to aid Godzilla and earth protectors (mothra Behemoth, Methuselah. Etc) against either destroyah or space Godzilla
Basically Godzilla told Kong no making trouble, then he hears the monkey trouble alarm go off and THEN Kong breaks their treaty. Sort of makes sense that Godzilla would blame him for it, but also I think Godzilla's arc in this movie is very much about him going overboard with rage and the idea that he has to do everything himself, so his reaction is over the top.
Which is why I found it so satisfying that Kong really bashed his face in and gave him a humbling that he sort of needed at that point. Add on Mothra reminding godzilla that he can depend on others like he did back before the war with Scar king and you get a really satisfying character arc for Godzilla focusing around this scene.
I just rewatched Godzilla x Kong a second time today and came away impressed by Shimo. She got hit by Godzilla’s pink blast twice and it didn’t kill her.
I just watched the GxK and yet I can’t wait for the next movie even though I just watched it.

They had their pact to defend their own territory. But what was funny is when Kong try to explain to Godzilla he called him out to ask for help and not to fight, but Godzilla wasn’t having it. Then Mothra arrived and said something to Godzilla and Godzilla stared at Kong and was like, “Why didn’t you tell me you needed my help?” and the look on Kong’s face said, “I hate you,” because he did try to explain the situation.
Kong: Godzilla, I need help wit-
Godzilla: How many times do I have to teach you this lesson monkey boy?
(Godzilla charges at Kong)
Kong: No wait !
That’s how I felt when he tackled kong.

In the novel, Kong refers to Godzilla as unintelligible. Also Goji might want to think twice in charging in on Kong. Let's not forget that Kong also had Godzilla at his mercy. He knocked Goji out and was dragging him to the portal. I've never seen Godzilla knocked from his senses like that or allow anyone to drag him. Both had each other at their mercy. Kong wasn't fighting to kill Godzilla. In the future Kong should be more aware when Godzilla is running at him. Godzilla is durable to take some of those shots.

@@kamani4853 Lets stick to facts.I'm a fan of Both for 50 yrs and Both had each other at their mercy. This is my HONEST TAKE.
1. Was Kong fighting to kill Godzilla? NO. Do we agree?
2. Was Goji fighting to kill Kong? Yes. Godzilla plays for keeps and was very angry.
3. Did Kong drop Godzilla w/ One punch? Yes
4. Did the Suplex from Godzilla stun Kong? Yes. It knocked the wind out of Kong.
5. Kong decided to fight back after the Suplex? Yes
6. Did he pummel Goji with 10 punches? Yes.
Godzilla took the punches very well till Kong landed a Thunder Punch. You can hear the Glove clinching his fist. Goji was about to fire his atomic breath till Kong landed his last punch first. Godzilla was knocked out longer than 2 seconds. It's 10 seconds total from the time of the last punch and his tail starts to light up.
Also the screen did cut away after that last punch. We than see Kong dragging Godzilla that was limp w/ his eyes open(eyes open proves knock out). I've never seen Goji like that. In the novel it seems that Kong dragged him along way towards the portal. IS it Kong's fault to not try and kill Godzilla? Yes. Godzilla uses his atomic breath that made it difficult for Kong to locate him. Godzilla put Kong down and would've killed him if it wasn't for Mothra. All we learned is Godzilla plays for keeps.
I thought it's not Goji's fault that Kong wasn't fighting hard the whole time. Both had each other at their mercy. Do you call that a win for Godzilla? I will say that doesn't mean that Goji isn't the KOTM. That was a good scrap in Egypt.

Kong also unknowingly did his “Alpha Roar” to get Goji’s attention. Which triggered Godzilla into thinking Kong was there to challenge him.

Based on what the director said the roles are gonna switch on the next one(assuming he gets his trilogy), Godzilla will have Kong role(MC) n Kong will have Zilla rule (Supporting character).

Well they can’t end Godzilla’s life. Toho has them contractually obligated to not do that to him. I do however think it would take someone like SpaceGodzilla, Destroyah, or if they really want to amp up the threat, Bagan to get Godzilla and Kong to team up again. Hopefully they’ll be on better terms.
There better not be a movie with Godzilla's demise, or I swear there will be hell to pay. We need Godzilla alive and well.
i think it would be an ironic turn of events if, in the next movie, Godzilla faces a threat on the surface that forces him to travel to the Hollow Earth for help from Kong, only to have Kong take his beast glove and clock him upside the head before agreeing to help him. Also, on a different note, i actually like the old outro to these videos better when you had Godzilla roaring in the background. it'd be cool if you could do that again except with the Evolved Godzilla standing there.

A great short fight. Godzilla showed his physical prowess. And Kong showed how much he’s gotten since GvK. Even stunning/Koing Godzilla for a short period. And then Godzilla using the dust to get the upper hand again. As a fan of both. But a bigger Kong fight I call this a W fight for sure
Also, art book confirms that Kong was going to use the glove to block the atomic breath. Considering it blocked shimos frostbite breath for a prologued period of time. So it’s not a stretch to think that the beast glove could block it. Considering it was made of the same metal that mecha G was made of

My first thought when I read the vid title was: "Paddington, I thought we had a Deal!" I'd just watched tmnt the movie, (the original), so that line was fresh in my mind.

Kong: wait let me tell you something...LET ME TELL YOU SONETHINGG.
I doubt Godzilla and Kong's alliance in GXK is temporary as they both did nod in respect to each other again after beating Skar King and freeing Shimo, so that definitely signified that the 2 of them will remain allies for the forseeable future even if it means they have a bit of a rivalry still. Plus, with Kong now having the army and Shimo by his side, Godzilla will have all the help he can get if he and Mothra can't stop the next threat
Watched in 3D the 2nd time around. It's definitely the way to watch.

From the looks of things, Godzilla basically mistook Kong's call for help as a challenge.
But personally I like to think that Godzilla realized that Kong had freed Skar King and either assumed he was working with him, or just got mad that Kong made the Iwi drive him crazy with telepathic signals.

This scene sums up what this movie is really about. Cat's vs Dogs. Kong has a cat, Scar King has a dog.
Shimo is basically just a big dog and Scar King puts him on a leash and controls him strictly with what might as well be a magic dog whistle. Godzilla was based on Adam Wingard's cat which is why, naturally, he owns everything including Kong.
So while Scar King can easily control his Dog, Kong asks his cat to get in the kennel (hollow earth portal) and is thusly clawed to pieces.

When I watched the movie, I thought that when Kong let out his roar to alert gozilla that he was there. He wanted to get Godzilla's attention. And what better way than to challenge him, the alpha roar.

I think Godzilla should solo Biollante, and Kong getting a rematch with Camazotz. (did I spell it right?) But I also think they can team up on Space Godzilla or Destroyah. But since Legendary studios can create new kaiju's (Like Shimo, Camazotz, Mutos, etc.) I think they can create some type of hawk titan or even bring Anguirus as friends/allies. and maybe create a type of Godzilla into the mix since Kong found his people, Once again awesome video! love the theories, and have a good day!
