There's multiple cool kaijus in the monsterverse at the moment, and there'll no doubt be more to come in the future. Though I am also sad that scylla and tiamat had to die, and I hope that they manage to come back to life in some way in the future.

Same thing happened with muto. When Godzilla released his atomic breath into muto's mouth, she died in that exact moment due to the heat but her head came off afterwards :)
Unfortunate that this had to happen, but out of the Titans we've seen, it did make the most sense that Godzilla would've killed Scylla and Tiamat given his past history with both.
In that regard, GxK actually showed Godzilla as an alpha. As well as resolving his prior beefs with deviants, i'd give them a pass for another lines of toys, the redesign is tied into worldbuilding.

Contradictory, Tiamat COULD have had a second chance if she flee after having her lair opened up by Goji's atomic breath. But just like Scylla, she chose to defy him once again.

I feel she was gonna die sooner or later since she's classified as a Destroyer titan someone that can potentially oppose Godzilla. Plus she was also powering up due to her new home which could have made her a rival for Big G.
basically Tiamat couldnt be controlled and still had an abundance of energy and godzilla didnt feel bad about killing her because at that point she had used up all her chances to go under his rule but refused to. Now her death serves as a stepping stone to power up Goji

I just rewatched Godzilla x Kong a second time today and came away impressed by Shimo. She got hit by Godzilla’s pink blast twice and it didn’t kill her.
Coolest part of that fight, is she goes to stab his face RIGHT before he Atomic Breath bakes her face and he CATCHES her claw without looking and stabs it in her chest (go find the scene and you’ll see lmao)
Something about GXK y’all should know, Godzilla didn’t evolve to face shimo, he evolved to face all the apes and shimo together by himself, as last time he tried to solo them he almost died and could only imprison them. Godzilla was expecting to have to fight skar kings army on his own and decided to evolve to increase his chances.
Just saw the movie today. It was an absolute gem to watch, including the scene where Godzilla took on this Cthulhu crustacean and came out on top effortlessly. The fight, along with the others in the movie, were well done.

like you said in the last movie, godzilla had done something we’ve never seen him do which is a small slight jump. This proves godzilla becomes better at combat after every opponent he faces.
If it's the Peter Jackson Skull Island, Red Death stomps. If it's the Monsterverse Skull Island, it still mostly stomps. Kong might be able to pull off a win but it would be tricky and very hard fought.

If we're looking from Godzilla's perspective, his intention on "knocking at Tiamat's door" might be just to intimidate her, to make her run away, in which unfortunately failed. Godzilla was in a rush to evolve, probably thought "I don't have time for your shit", decided to end her.
For the power up. Godzilla eats up radiation sources -> juiced up with enough power to one-shot Tiamat -> absorbs whatever power Tiamat got (because I’m pretty sure she looked different in the movie, implying an evolution) -> fully prepared for Skar King’s shenanigans
Even though Scylla had short screen time, she did leave a somewhat impactful legacy on the world. After the battle, Godzilla made the Colosseum his new home since the structure reminded him of his old lairs in the Hollow Earth. After he sensed the Iwi of Malenka (that’s the name of the city they live in) telepathic distress call that Skar King, the Great Apes and Shimo had been freed from the Subterranean Realm, Godzilla used Scylla’s own strategy in order to prepare him for a rematch. He began stockpiling nuclear energy in order to evolve for the coming war. First, he stole nuclear energy from that power plant in France and then he absorbed the electromagnetically charged solar wind energy from Tiamat’s arctic lair (along with absorbing some of Tiamat’s DNA). Overall, Scylla’s nuclear comeback world tour helped Godzilla, Kong, Mothra, Suko and Shimo save the world from Skar King!!
The duel is like ammonite against mosasaurus but the ammonite is hybridized with a scorpion on steroids and the mosasaurus can now walk and stayed too long in the vinicinity of a nuclear Site.
I would honestly hate the idea of Scylla getting her tentacles on the solar wind radiation from Tiamat’s lair. The thought of her evolving like Godzilla terrifies me 😢!! Scylla vs Tiamat would’ve been a great matchup to watch since they’re mostly aquatic Titans. Hopefully @GojiCenter could do this for a future video!

like you said in the last movie, godzilla had done something we’ve never seen him do which is a small slight jump. This proves godzilla becomes better at combat after every opponent he faces.

If it's the Peter Jackson Skull Island, Red Death stomps. If it's the Monsterverse Skull Island, it still mostly stomps. Kong might be able to pull off a win but it would be tricky and very hard fought.

If we're looking from Godzilla's perspective, his intention on "knocking at Tiamat's door" might be just to intimidate her, to make her run away, in which unfortunately failed. Godzilla was in a rush to evolve, probably thought "I don't have time for your shit", decided to end her.
For the power up. Godzilla eats up radiation sources -> juiced up with enough power to one-shot Tiamat -> absorbs whatever power Tiamat got (because I’m pretty sure she looked different in the movie, implying an evolution) -> fully prepared for Skar King’s shenanigans
Even though Scylla had short screen time, she did leave a somewhat impactful legacy on the world. After the battle, Godzilla made the Colosseum his new home since the structure reminded him of his old lairs in the Hollow Earth. After he sensed the Iwi of Malenka (that’s the name of the city they live in) telepathic distress call that Skar King, the Great Apes and Shimo had been freed from the Subterranean Realm, Godzilla used Scylla’s own strategy in order to prepare him for a rematch. He began stockpiling nuclear energy in order to evolve for the coming war. First, he stole nuclear energy from that power plant in France and then he absorbed the electromagnetically charged solar wind energy from Tiamat’s arctic lair (along with absorbing some of Tiamat’s DNA). Overall, Scylla’s nuclear comeback world tour helped Godzilla, Kong, Mothra, Suko and Shimo save the world from Skar King!!

I would honestly hate the idea of Scylla getting her tentacles on the solar wind radiation from Tiamat’s lair. The thought of her evolving like Godzilla terrifies me 😢!! Scylla vs Tiamat would’ve been a great matchup to watch since they’re mostly aquatic Titans. Hopefully @GojiCenter could do this for a future video!
