What I love about this game the most, you can: "Play in a birdseye view, watching over everything and issuing strategic orders, or you can possess a villager and play from a first person perspective, performing everyday tasks along with your fellow villagers." I like playing more Sims than Simcity, which is the option to play first person or third person view. On more than one occasion I was able to help the villagers in the nick of time by taking control of one. From getting the crops harvested before winter, putting fires out, and getting a villager home in time before they freeze or starve to death. When I saw resources getting low, lets say of firewood, I could go and quickly transfer logs to the Lumberjack's Lodge, or help forresters chop more trees if logs were low. I was able to quickly transport needed resources faster. I love to play as a villager than the village lord! I like working in the shops, especially as a baker. And the game has great mods! Here are a couple of games that are great to play also: THE GUILD 3, (also GUILD 2, though much older game is fun) then there is SAELIG. Don't let the fact that its been in early access for so long deter you from playing. It could have been released as a finish game long ago, in fact the developer gets complaints for this. You can read what is his explanation for this. No mods that I know of, but It has so many features, that it may not need many mods.
used to play this game for HOURS. one of the things that really stuck out to me is that there are nutrient factors to each type of food, so variety REALLY matters. i remember playing with a mod that added stilt versions of each of the buildings so you could build on water, and i'd fill my entire island and then make a little venice in the harbor. and i also LOVE the music. i'd love to see a series from you. protip, if you have any animals you want to make sure they're in the range of a hunter's hut so the wolves don't pick your chickens off one by one.
I discovered Forest Village about 2 years ago... I played for months straight, stopped for a few months and started playing again about 20 days ago... I simply love this game! ❤
This game has what Manor lords desperately needs in order to be fully successful. And that is the worker jobs overview panel. It’s a quick way to see where your workers are presently at. In manor lords I have to go searching for my workers by clicking on each building.
@@jrid369 if you hold TAB in Manor Lords you can see detailed information hovering above each workplace/home etc. Like how many workers assigned and if a home can be upgraded. Hope this fills the gap! Ps loved this game 🫶
There was an old game called Lords or something that came out in the 1990's... might have been the first real graphical fancy build your own castle medieval combat game. I dont remember any of the game mechanics ...so long ago..

Does anyone remember 1602 AD? As a very old gamer…. Still think of that one! Glory to Raptoria!
If you like Life is Feudal, you should have a look at City Tales, a new city builder in medieval times!
this game is really cool and fun! I got it after watching you play it all those years ago, and would love to see you play it more...again
I love this game! I've played it for years and I'm so sad they abandoned it, I would like to see it completed
This game was so good, wish they kept up with it. I feel like they used the game to feed the MMO's they were creating that failed.
Love this game. Wayyyyyy better than Banished
One of my all time favorite games! I still play it frequently. I loved life is feudal: your own. They killed all of it with their MMO.
And then Anno 1800 is always awesome.
Great music Great game a lovely trip down memory lane thank you
one of my favourite games of all time, great to see it on the channel again. Lots of idea's for how Manor Lords can be expanded

I played LiF: Your Own on a few servers. It was fun, but had problems. I wish they'd been able to develop it further.

This was long before manor lords and I'm sure where manor lord got its idea lol ... great game but old and forgotten by devs
awesome music indeed! @Raptor - make this game a favor and add the name to the video title!
I remember giving this game a shot back in the day... but my cpu fans didn't like it at all... they sounded as if they were about to take off
