It is not often you find a grand piano out in the public available for playing. We stayed in this hotel, and the piano was always covered up and locked (I checked!). But it was open and on show because I think there was a party. I jumped on and started playing something before I was kicked off. The reception started to come over to take me off, but when I played "properly" classical, they were fine. I then played Queen! Crowd and public all around the world are the same - Bohemian Rhapsody will always get some attention! I had a lot of compliments (my mum had to translate!) because there are many young pianists in China, but many are classical and many don't show as much "passion" in their playing. Usually they also play in arranged concerts or school performances, and it is very unusual to have any children play in "public" randomly, so there was a lot of interest from the guests in the hotel. Also my Arsenal top got to come out again!

Thank you for the music. Your choice of songs is inspiring and being played by the younger generation, passing on the message of Freddie mercury And Elton John. What Freddie mercury‘s words meant don’t stop me now are symbolic to you and your performances. You take them to public forums and play your heart out. Freddie Mercury would be proud that he has passed on the torch to you so you can play your heart out with confidence and passion. Don’t stop me now is not just a song but a message for you to continue to work hard forge your own path. Keep up the good work, keep performing bravely in public and by all means don’t stop. You have a bright future. I cannot wait to hear when you come out with original songs that are inspired by such great classics that you have chosen. All the best.

That was so cool, Cole! It was also an interesting social experiment. Neat that your mom encouraged you. Also neat that you knew to 'back off' down to gentle music. They didn't look quite as okay about it when you played "Don't Stop Me Now", which is expected, I gather. I'm learning a lot from your notes. Not usually done, a grand piano in the lobby with a child playing the piano. Usually classical. Not a lot of movement of the body when a person in China plays. You were movin' and groovin' and I thought "that's my activist pal Cole right there!" Bravo! It sounded fabulous, too. :-)

Still learning how to play Bohemian Rhapsody 😂
And every hotel I go, I look for piano to play. Some of them are old, and broken but it still does work! Even it’s broken 😂
I prefer Yamaha Grand piano and acoustic piano because of the sound is very unique and awesome and my Piano teacher has it. And my piano is very old..
    You’re the MOST talented boy
Also I’m a fan of Queen I listen and I don’t forget my fave Beethoven songs😏
