Let's set aside that this young man is playing the piano really well and look at how not only is he playing music by Queen but doing so on a piano. It puts a smile on my face when young musicians pay tribute to to older bands like Queen.
As a very busy mother I wasn't listening to the sounds around me just focused on what instill had to do and with me was my 4 year old son. And we came into a large building and suddenly he had disappeared, I looked around and he was gone...my heart stopped my throat constricted and I looked everywhere only not the church...where classical music was played on a violin and a piano...and I saw more and more people stopping there looking in..so I ran there and looked inside...and in the middle of a sea of old people stood my little son admiring and dead quiet ( he stood never still let alone be quiet) he had been there all that time..and it was my son that drew the crowd Who THEN finally paid attention to the musicians...they were incredible and it was a teaching moment. So from then on wherever we went and if we heard a musician we would stand still and admire their work and love of music
Your story of your son disappearing touches me ~ @Ainaes-Feline ~ My dad, unable to any longer care for my mom, was situating my mother's room in a facility just a mile from his home. When he looked up, she was gone...after much searching, he found my mother, (who had stopped talking & had dementia, ) standing happily and completed focused, by someone playing piano and singing. I spent our last years together, sitting on the floor, looking into her cast down eyes before her then stooped over shoulders...holding her hands and singing on and on, as she nodded & brightened to varying degrees of recognition & delight. Rest well Mama ~

I just discovered this video in 2024 - I got goosebumps during Hallelujah when the crowd started singing with you. We need more of this in the world. Thank you for this - it shows a beautiful side of humanity!
That is a child prodigy if I ever saw one. No doubt he has spent a lot of time practicing on his piano and it shows. It is hard enough to play those songs with sheet music and he played all of those song's very well without. Queen would be proud.
A young man pays tribute to a god of rock and roll in a genre Freddie himself admired -- and he brings so many worlds together. He even plays those intricate harmonies that all Queen fans love. He ends with an unexpected un-miked vocal which makes him beautifully human and universally important. Thanks, sweet young man - go ahead, and change the world!
And he played all those songs without any music sheets in front of him , I salute you , your amazing keep up the playing you’ll go far I congratulate you well done ,,,,,,
I'm an ear player and absolutely love seeing another get their due 'props'! I play keyboards (though not a fraction as well as Cole) and chromatic harmonica, but Cole simply blows MY abilities out of the water. He's light-years ahead of anything I can do. I can only sit and watch (and rock and sing along) in absolute admiration. This is NOT easy music to arrange/duplicate/make sound great. I've heard other versions and very few people can sit down at a piano and do what he did here. Fantastic!
Little man - whilst you were lost in the beauty of your playing, I saw so many glum faces walk past and turn into a smile. Small gestures make the world a better place
The lady who videoed your performance was deeply moved you never know how your God given talent will bring joy and happiness to others, blessings to you and continue to connect with your audiences.
Queen's music is so difficult and complex! Absolutely speechless to see this level of quality from a 12 year old! Amazing performance! And to play that entire set without sheet music is pretty impressive!
I didn’t realize you were only 12. Even more amazing than I thought you were to begin with. I’m just wondering why it took so long for people to start leaving tips.
@@onaelleuscycillius352 Ok. I can 'play' Queen's music too. So can lots of people. However, it's the WAY one plays, the emotion, feeling and skill one puts into it which makes all the difference, as well as the way one arranges the original music (it's easy to 'copy', but far harder to create your own version). Perhaps you can play 'as well as' Cole? If so, then start your own youtube channel and post your offerings for the World to see. I promise to watch. :)
His father is the most touching thing about this. He obviously loves his kid from a deep place of basic goodness. Even if we're not as lucky to receive (or remember) such loving kindness from our own parents or loved ones' it's about seeing the possibility within humanity that matters. After all, we are all human. Blessings.
Refreshing to see him watching and not through a screen (although someone is clearly there to record it)...people never enjoy the moment first hand anymore.
My dad also loves me this way but we can't talk to each other without such awkwardness. We had so many fights throughout my adolescence but deep down I still love him. It's good to see that Cole's dad supports him though
@@Thingsrblx Couldn't agree more. I've seen some amazing things in life and I'm amazed how many people are too busy trying to get pictures than to absorb themselves in the moment. Hey Cole! Do you do your own arrangements? Your melodies are great and the way it's arranged with the chords is really cool. It sounds like you are also doing a little improv from time to time which I think makes the songs even grander. I love it!!
This is just wow. He is amazingly talented. Freddie Mercury is one of a kind and to have him play this as perfectly as he would've is unbelievable. This kid is a master pianist... No music sheets. All by memory. Beautiful.

I love how proud his dad is on the side. I assume it’s his dad. While his sister is sitting on the side probably thinking “not again.” Great job young man.
That was the BEST Bohemian Rhapsody I have ever heard played on the piano next to Freddy Mercury. That is one talented young man. If that was his father looking on, he should be mighty proud. It was a privileged to look and listen to that.
Public pianos are usually a bit out of tune and sometimes a lot! I like it though as it is like they have their own accents and personalities. Makes them a little special I think. I have played on a perfectly tuned one here ruclips.net/video/4pHgz5eCxJs/видео.html
As a Gen Z (2003) I think every generation can appreciate their music. It’s almost like Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi. You can’t deny it’s good and it will always be good. I would’ve kill to see Queen and Freddy live once.
That young man could be famous one day! His parents must be SO proud!! Thank you for sharing this! What an AMAZING way to start my day at 2 am! Got me charged and ready to go!!
I have the need to tell this. I am 13 years old, I love Queen so much that I cried watching you play Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now. I am amazed by your show, it's amazing how you can play the piano like that and let us feel magic without the words or other instruments. It's wonderful how Queen can still reunite young people like you and me and make them feel the magic of Queen. Only a legend would do this and Freddie is a true legend. Thank you so much for uploading this, you've made my day.

@Rhonda Bothelio I didn’t have the chance either. You inspired me and if I have children someday, I’ll always have a piano at home, and a guitar, just to let them a possibility if they want. I think it’s never too late to achieve a good level in order to have fun playing. I wish my parents told me the same as you did. I had to ask to have something but I wouldn’t dare asking. I would sing and listen to music on my own and in secret. That’s why I think it was so good to express your support. At a piano school I listened to a very talented man, he was 68 and just started a year before. He played incredibly well. Even 15 minutes a day, but everyday, will go a long way. Freddie would love it. It is amazing that he died in 1991 and people still love his music. It shows how good he was. There were only two people who could sing Somebody to love. Freddie and George Michael.

Hallelujah is one of my all-time favorite songs and the way he sang it in combination with playing it was so moving it was breathtaking! And when the crowd joined in to sing the chorus I got chills. Such a beautiful moment of sharing love for music and harmony between fellow human beings. ❤️🔥
I'm glad to hear it wasn't just me who heard the "crowd" or angels singing the chorus of Hallelujah. It was incredibly sweet watching that tall lady filming him for his entire concert and watching her entire body vibrate with energy as she took in how great Cole was and the playing of a 12 year old kid. Watching her shake her head in disbelief at some of his playing and the big hug she gave him at the end.
Probably. Freddie was probably watching the performance from wherever he is, and grinning from ear to ear at Cole's talent and love of his music. ^_^ Awesome job, dude. Keep it up, and stay safe wherever you are. ^_^

Once again, music brings a diverse crowd together. Young, old, black and white...Asian playing British. Music and art in general easily surpasses what politics tries to accomplish with simple talent and a smile. I live for this!
The woman (pink shoes) who watched the entire performance, gained my attention with her recognition of the different Queen songs. The young man performance is stunning. Freddie would be proud.

@@AtortAerials Yes, its a word... used to describe people like yourself... I don't have time to give you the definition, just Google it I guess.
Let's set aside that this young man is playing the piano really well and look at how not only is he playing music by Queen but doing so on a piano. It puts a smile on my face when young musicians pay tribute to to older bands like Queen.
🎉 You are going places, beautiful work,Mr. Cole 😮
Queen isn't old. Queen is timeless :)
That boy was playing to Freddie... He's still smiling down on him for playing from his heart.
Rest well Mama ~
i never wanna be in such a rush i can't stop to notice life's extraordinary moments.
Well said Ricci Smith
no rush is worth the extraordinary moments we experience in life

Me either, but when you have a plane to catch, what are you going to do?
I totally would have missed my train, meeting or whatever - this is obviously a once-in-a-lifetime performance -- I'm sure Cole will go on to greater things.. but this could not be missed or ignored... I would be a moth to a flame if I had the opportunity!!! lol
This is sooo good you can almost hear the lyrics. Only Queen fans could understand
Delfin Sumcad i've been listening to Queen alot... and im 11😂😂😂
@@armand8614 You GO, Charlie!! You will be carrying Queen into the future with you! Introduce as many friends, and others, as you can to this amazing singer and his band! That way they will live FOREVER!! (Michael Jackson, too!!) Don't believe the rumors!
My thoughts exactly
Totally agree...
Yes im also like this song because this is my best song
The respect that lady who stood through the whole performance was just amazing and to hug and kiss him was just so heartwarming and well deserved! Cole, your future is mapped out already!
I just discovered this video in 2024 - I got goosebumps during Hallelujah when the crowd started singing with you. We need more of this in the world. Thank you for this - it shows a beautiful side of humanity!
More videos at Cole Lam's playlist bro...check it out 😊

@@silverdavies8539 ya just copied someone else's comment but added a little bit to it like what
That is a child prodigy if I ever saw one.
Wow. Thank you so much for your "review"!
*queen of rock
He brought in the entire orchestra with piano, guitar and vocal played by one and only Cole Lam!
Fantastic!
These are also his own arrangements. Worked them out by listening to the songs and watching videos (in his info at the top). Pretty amazing!
Yep!
You are such a gifted boy.
I love to hear your piano pieces. Keep arranging and playing. Bright future awaits you.👏👏👏❤❤❤
Little man - whilst you were lost in the beauty of your playing, I saw so many glum faces walk past and turn into a smile. Small gestures make the world a better place
True that
I am so jealous of all those people who got to see this live!! You are one talented kid! You did a great job 👍
I’m just wondering why it took so long for people to start leaving tips.
im sure its harder for some people more than others, but i can do it, im 13, and its not that hard.
Of memory, and with such emotions coming from a young boy? AMAZING!
Amazing
Go to the internet and find pictures of what you are witnessing. They're the same as what you are taking. Enjoy the moment.
I saw that too. It is so beautiful. ❤️
Wish my father came to watch me play football when I was young.
Then again I was crap so perhaps he made the right choice staying at home 😂
For someone who lived during Freddie Mercury's time, I have to think that Freddie himself would love this. Great job kid!!
Real talent! Love it!
I think he would have been honored.
It's amazing !bravo for this young boy
The kiss and hug from the lady at last ..she was there for whole video...amazing
This kid can certainly play the piano. And appreciates good music. This boy’s got great taste in music.

I’m pretty convinced that Freddy is standing next to the young man smiling as his music is still alive in even younger generations. Long live Queen!!
Oh for sure. I can picture Freddie directing him and saying "That sounds mauvelous dahling".
Hey Cole! Do you do your own arrangements? Your melodies are great and the way it's arranged with the chords is really cool. It sounds like you are also doing a little improv from time to time which I think makes the songs even grander. I love it!!

Thank you Cole for your fabulous performance. You clearly love and feel the music. This comes from a retired music teacher. Thank you

Freddie Mercury and Queen were one of a kind. So is this young man. I have so missed hearing these songs. His talent for putting the emotion in his playing is stunning.
Like pink sneaker woman, and purple sweater man, I would have been standing there the entire time myself! I can tell that both of them truly and sincerely appreciated your talent, and prior plans be damned, your performance is something that a person just has to stop for/stay/enjoy the show!!
And that finale song was absolutely brilliant! Especially loved you adding your voice to it! I can certainly understand why pink sneaker lady had to give you a hug, and a nice little kiss on the cheek!
Right. People shirt man and pink shoed lady...

Purple sweater man is most likely Cole’s dad, as at the beginning, Cole looks at him, and says something.
I love how proud his dad is on the side. I assume it’s his dad. While his sister is sitting on the side probably thinking “not again.” Great job young man.
Hahhahaha yeah I got the suffering sibling look - I've been there, great performance though.

I agree. It is special that queen and Freddie's music can mean so much to everyone. His music will last forever
Claudia, that was an adorable note to Cole. Hope you two meet someday. Imagine that?
I can’t believe all these people walking past this genius. Stop for a second already! You can always catch the next train. I didn’t even realize I was crying while listening to this young man.
WOW........where does this kid come from???? Unbelievable .....I love Queen...this is awesome....keep it up little guy....!!!! You have the right influences....!!!!!

Right 👍 I commend you as well you're VERY gracious and genuine XO ❤️ God bless you and yours always have a great Christmas 🎄☃️ up and coming
Your dream to do music is fulfilled through your children but you can fulfill it by yourself too whatever is your age 🥺 you’re an amazing mom, shout outs to the moms
