Totally agree on the MPG data. The right wrist dictates my avg mpg for sure. I bought the MTS PP to eat up the asphalt and not fuel consumption ratings.
So, I traveled w/ my MTS PP via a car ferry across Lake Michigan (Muskegon, MI to Milwaukee, WI)…just wanted to pass along tips on securing the bike for transport. I used Jayco soft loops wrapped around the lower triple tree…you have to fish the left side loop under the front brake line…accessing the lower triple tree is tight, but doable. I wrapped the rear soft loops through the rear peg supports. I used Jayco heavy duty ratchet straps w/ safety locks to connect the soft loops to the boat deck D-rings. The voyage was perfect…bike didn’t move an inch and zero damage to plastics. This was always my biggest concern with the MTS. I was pleased to see that there was plenty of space to secure the front end and not touch any part of the front beak.
Awesome Moto Vlog…you’re going to make me invest in the full exhaust. Your MTS PP sounds rad!!! Ciao!

Thanks Mark. The full exhaust is a must if it is in your budget for sure.

2 hours long enough on any bike , good news Rembo for me at last bike is in showroom registration done sat on her feels great problem is no top box no heated grips no panniers can not believe how bad Ducati Cardiff south wales are so still waiting , but when it happens we have some of the best roads anywhere. 👌👍

Every Ducati I have had in recent years typically indicates between 5-7% higher than GPS above 55mph. I used to think people were just faster or in a hurry until I realized I was actually going slower despite indicated speed reading the posted limit on the dash.
Unrelated, what have you done to address wobble on hard acceleration over 100? I've read that dropping the forks 10mm in the triple helps a ton, curious if it has been something you've dealt with. Ty for the great videos!

How is the suspension feel vs. the V4S? I have a 1260S and the suspension is decent, but doesn’t really have that “glued to the road” feel like a sports bike.

Nice to hear some honest feedback on the handling differences between the 17 and 19 inch frt wheel. It gets a little old when all the pro reviewer's carry on about how you can't feel the difference between the two, when one is 2 inches (!) taller! Of course the 17 incher's are going to handle better. I'm wondering, do ride modes make any diff in MPG? Say using rain mode on the highway vs sport. I prefer lean forward position at speed as the wind helps keep the weight off the wrists, while aiding aerodynamics and corner handling...in areas where there are corners that is...lol. I'm sure the counter rotating Motogp style crank, helps with steering responsiveness re stability remarks. Good vidie...thanks. :-)

Thanks for that great response and all of the information. I have played around with different modes, but have not noticed any difference in miles per gallon.

Another great video. Thinking of getting the tinted shields for my multistrada V4S as my clear screen is full of fine scratches. Is ur shield the same? Is there a method to polish the scratches out?

Hey, got a debate going on. Should I take the MTS PP or a V4s on not so good condition roads? As in my part of the world, the roads are rubbish or should i just go head first on the PP.

I got to ride one the other day but his steering seemed wonky. It felt like the front wanted to dip in when at slow speeds which made me fight it. Is that how it is on yours? I t seemed good at higher speeds but was annoying when riding normal street speeds

Do you use rf1400 with or without the chin curtain?
I really like how quiet it is with it, but it feels like I'm really oxygen starved because the ventilation isn't as good as my arai quantum-x which is worlds louder. Removing it makes me not suffocate, but also makes it a bit louder, still quieter than arai.

    • @RemboUSMC

@@RemboUSMC I kept coming back to arai contour x snake red because it matches our bikes perfectly, but was afraid that it would be loud and uncomfortable after adding speakers since they go into cheek pads, so did rf1400 with shoei pfs to make it fit my round head and try out the transitions shield 🙃plus we're much more likely to change bikes than helmets

Coming up on the inside to be out of the dead spot and be better seen in the driver-side mirror is perfectly fine, but never in my wildest dreams would I pass cars that close. In my view, with today's distracted drivers swerving all the time, you might just ask for trouble...

Hey man. Nice video and lots of useful info.
I like long distance touring and spirited canyon riding here in CA, but I hesitate between a V4 Rally and a Pikes Peak.
Being 6’2’’ tall, I am concerned about the more cramped position of the P.Peak. What is your take on it based on your 744mile trip?
    How tall are you yourself?
    Thx!

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  Год назад

It’s always going to be more challenging for someone tall like you to find a bike that is comfortable. I was very comfortable with my legs, my only problem was my neck and shoulders, but I have a chronic problem, regardless.

if you want a solid range without sacrificing good performance, you need to stop fooling yourself that you'll be going offroad and think about a sport tourer instead of a touring / adventure motorbike. That way you can have a Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT or a more premium BMW R1250RS, while maintaining high performance and decent fuel burn.
