Great video! (Found you from your comment on Reddit).😊 Very helpful tips! I appreciate the cross references to RC, which we usually sail. This will be our first sailing on Celebrity.
Thanks for the shout out! We were fortunate enough to have y’all in person as we embarked on our first cruise ever but I must say, all the videos leading up to it were super informative!!!
This is a really good video. I like the graphics and the music. It's a great video. It makes me want to go on a cruise. I especially like the part where they show the ship's reflection in the water. New sub! 😊😊
Thanks so much for the compliments and for subscribing to the channel, we really appreciate it. We recommend cruising, it’s our favorite type of vacation. Let us know if you book one!
Hello Wanderlost. Celebrity reflection Non-alcoholic Drink package is $39.99 per guest per day. We are a family of four, so for Non-alcoholic package for a 4 day cruise to Key West and Coco Cay, maybe drink package for 2 days, the day at Coco Cay and the return day at sea seems is enough, I guess. That's $319.92 for 4 guests and seems outrageous. For four days it will cost $639.84. Anyways, so for someone who does not get any of the drink package, what options are there? They do offer Coffee, Tea, Fruit juices for breakfast, lunch and dinner right? So for the time in between meals, if we buy 3 non-alcoholic drinks like Water, Coke, lemonade, Coffee, Tea etc per person per day, will it end up costing more than the so called drowning package?
$40 a day is a lot. For the 2 of us our drink packages were less than $30 a day, or about $259 after taxes and gratuities total. Yes they have juices, regular and decaf coffee, teas, etc for no additional charges. They have drink stations set up in the oceanview cafe on each side that have all the included drinks. The included drinks are also available other places on the ship as well. If you’re buying a la carte water, soft drinks, and lemonades are $4-5 each, Red Bull is $6-7 each.
Thanks for your observations. I wouldn't say the Solstice class Reflection is a 2010s ship. I've sailed with Celebrity since the middish 1990s and have been aboard all the classes and the Solstice is an evolution of the Millennium class which was mostly an evolution of the Century, rather than Galaxy or Mercury. The idea of the Century was a modern nostalgic ship so the use of darker woods and tones was for that ship. Darker woods is a style, not necessarily a date. There are new ships that use dark wood tones. The Galaxy was a much brighter/lighter ship with white marbles used and just light colors and that ship was from 1996 (Century was from 1995). Unlike today's sister ships that tend to be close to identical, the Century and Galaxy were very different from each other in terms of frunishings and decor in the same areas of the ship. But, unlike the Edge class for the most part, most of the Celebrity ships' decor pays homage to past era's styles but with modern (for the time) amenities. RCI and Celebrity have different ships but if you squint, you can see some Quantum class in both the Solstice and Edge class ships. I also don't particularly see color as a date thing more than a popularity thing of a time period. In other words, nothing is inherently dated about a color, it's just what is popular now. Now a lot of taupe and more subdued colors are used in design, but in 10 years, that'll date this time period. Is it dated? It seems modern now but won't in time. Plus these cycles and styles tend to repeat, if not exactly the same, then similar, at a later time. Celebrity has turned up the entertainment. The whole foyer area as entertainment spot is something they didn't do back in the 1990s and earlier 2000s. The ship volume and activity level has increased. The food quality and presentation in the MDR is down from the 1990s. When Celebrity introduced the specialty dining in the Millennium class the MDRs food started to go down. Maybe the buffet food is up. However, Celebrity wants you to dine in specialty restaurants and it shows IMO. One of the unique selling points to the Solstice class is the real grass on deck. I can't think of another brand or class of ship that has this.
There isn’t a specific sub that people mean when they talk about a pub sub, but the most common one you’ll see people order is the chicken tender sub. That’s what was shown in the video. Their chicken tender subs are Amazing. You can get the tenders tossed in your favorite sauce like honey mustard, bbq, or buffalo and then topped the way you want. They’re so good. Thank you so much for watching! Let us know what type of trip you’re planning!
@@letsgetwanderlost awesome!! We’ll definitely have to get one or a few 😂 We’re going on Star of the Seas next year so it will be a long wait but worth it! Can’t wait for your next video in Key West!!
@TravelswithMarkandAshley were booked on Star in early September 2025! Can’t wait to share our day in Key West. It quickly moved up our chart for best Caribbean ports, it was definitely one of our favorites.

Thank you! When are we making a tritip?
For the muster app, do you each have to have the app to watch separately or can you watch it on one phone and sign in?
Should be able to watch it on your phone through the website. It’s in the same place your set sail pass barcode would be.

Looks like a great time! Planning a trip to Florida and I must have a pub sub! Is it any sub or is it a specific one?
