The ice slide inside the ICE display is included with your ICE ticket. The tubing, ice skating, snowball throwing outside the display at the Christmas village in the conference center are an additional charge.

Royal Caribbean has 2 ships that go to Montenegro. Explorer of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas. The only itinerary that goes to Montenegro and Split is in May on Brilliance of the Seas. That itinerary looks really good but it does not go to the Greek isles. So if you want to do all 3 of those locations you’ll need to look at some different cruise lines like Celebrity. They have a cruise on Celebrity Ascent that goes to all 3. Norwegian cruise line has a couple itineraries that go to all 3 and the ones on Norwegian pearl look incredible.

You usually get a better price before your cruise than you do during your cruise and you’ll make sure it isn’t sold out by the time you get on board the ship or to CocoCay. After you book it just double check the prices up to about 60 hours before your cruise in case they do a last minute sale.

I wish I could add some photos to my reply, there is an overhang above and there is shade on the balcony. The back of Odyssey does slope at an angle so when you look below you can see the railings of the balconies below you but you can still see the ocean. When you look up the balcony is covered except for like a foot closest to the railing. Thanks for watching!

On Royal tap water, basic coffee, tea, lemonade and juices are included. If you want soda, alcohol, specialty coffee, mocktails, smoothies, etc you’ll have to pay for each one or buy a drinks package. Yes, they’ll change up the pairings with a mocktails if you ask, the service is amazing at this restaurant. We thought about doing that but decided to get the drinks as they were paired to try the menu as it was intended as much as possible. Sometimes you have to go out of your comfort zone and maybe you’ll find something you like, like the toasted almond and the blood and sand for me. What well probably do on Star of the Seas is one of us stay with the cocktails and the other one get the mocktails so we can try both style of pairings.

First off thanks for watching and thank you for the feedback. Nicole and I started off as more of an informational channel and it’s continued to evolve with us being in front of the camera more and more. On this last trip, we recorded much more in front of the camera to try to do what you’re talking and it just didn’t come out right and we used our traditional recap style as a back up. We’re continuing to experiment with our style and we take the feedback from viewers to see if we’re heading in the right direction. Our Icon of the Seas content isn’t 100% to my liking and hopefully we can improve upon what we’ve learned for our next trip. Thanks again.

Thank you for watching! The arboretum was a fun, relaxing place to go for Christmas.

The closer you get to Christmas the busier it is. A lot of people are off work and school on the 26th so it should be decently busy, not as busy as the couple days before Christmas though. I would plan for an hour for ICE and then a several hours for all the other activities that happen around the resort. Nicole and I like to stay at the Gaylord as we just relax, take our time, eat dinner, and get into the holiday spirit. There’s a light show in the atrium a couple times a night along with the snow sledding, ice skating, Cookie decorating, etc etc that are going on.

Completely agree. It’s the perfect color blue. We’re going to go back there next year and go to the beaches and probably hike around a bit. I can’t wait.

Most of the time we try not to film too much while it’s going on because it can get not pg-13. But crazy quest is an in-room scavenger hunt where your team is tasked with finding or doing certain things like connecting the most bras together as a team, showing tattoos and piercings in unusual spots, the balloon popping race, or dressing up the manliest man in an unflattering way, and a ton of other things. The game is a lot of fun even if you’re just watching.

The surfside family suite dropping down to Sea class won’t happen until after May 2nd 2026 so you should be good with sky class. It was super tempting to change to a Surfside family suite before the cruise especially since we wanted Sky class but we wanted the Aft-facing view more and we had just done an interior balcony on Utopia. Maybe we’ll Royal Up or try to upgrade our Star of the Seas sailing to a Surfside suite to give it a go next year. Thanks so much for watching!

On Star of the Seas, it’s category JT and I believe there are only 4 of them on the entire ship. 10356, 10354, 10756, 10754. I entered 2 adults and 2 kids while searching just now and I had it pop up in September of 2025 and it was around $9,000. Maybe they changed the minimum capacity on Star to 4 people for this category. If you have less than that you can usually call and book it, that’s what Nicole and I did. Looks like the price is dropping too which is really good. It’ll probably go back up for sailings in May 2026 and after when those sky class benefits kick in.

Sparkling water is available at most bars and venues and in the coke freestyle machine. You’ll need at least the soda package.

Peroni is listed on a few of the bar menus. I’m not sure about the other one unfortunately.

On a shorter sailing for a first timer, Voyager should be good. It gives you a good taste of what cruising is like and has some fun activities and shows. It won’t have all the bells and whistles that the newer ships have but it would still be fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Voyager just went through a dry dock and they cleaned up and added some things like the coke freestyle machines. Nicole and myself started cruising on Oasis of the Seas which is the same class as Utopia. That ship got us hooked on cruising. The problem with Utopia is the shorter sailings. That ship has so much to offer and it doesn’t feel like you can do everything on a 4 night sailing. If you want more info on that ship we have a bunch of videos from our sailing on it.

We did the first week of June. The weather was good. A tad hot at times but nothing like the middle of summer. It was hot in the city of Oia on Santorini, it was Windy in Mykonos, a bit hot in Ephesus, and kinda perfect in Naples.

You’ll have an amazing time! We enjoyed our week on Icon and the room is very good. What ports are you visiting? If Mark is your stateroom attendant, say “hi” for us.

Thanks for the post. When you say you paid the same as the balcony which tells me you paid around $3,500 to $4,000; for that I think it’s a steal. I would not be complaining. I do agree that $13K is due to over hype of the icon class and not worth the price. I would wait another year before the hyper dies down a bit.

To be perfectly honest, we looked to downgrade our room choice for months before our cruise because we were worried we wouldn’t get our moneys worth. When we were looking to downgrade the ocean view balcony, infinite veranda, and similar rooms were in the $5-6k range and we paid a bit more than the high end of that so it didn’t make sense to downgrade and lose the suite amenities and a better room. It’s still the most expensive cruise we’ve booked and a lot more expensive than the aft-facing junior suite we booked for our Greek Isles cruise. Icon prices seem to have stabilized and looking at October 2025 the balcony rooms are in the range you stated, which is a great thing. With Star and Icon3 right after that we can only hope this ship and this class become even more reasonable.
