    I had a similar situation after Desert Storm. About a year after getting back, I started having really crazy panic attacks randomly. It was like this overwhelming feeling of doom, that just knocked the wind out of me and i would have to sit down.... and it happened very randomly. Turns out, there is a type of truck, that when it backs up makes a beeping noise that exactly matches the air alert warnings we had during the first weeks of the war. As soon as I put 2 and 2 together and realized what was causing the panic attacks, I no longer have them.

      When I got back from Desert Storm, I was at the airport making a phone call, when they decided to test their tornado warning siren. Sounded just like an air raid alarm. I was on the deck, covering my head before I realized what was happening. Not a fun experience.

    • @PilotA51
      @PilotA51 Месяц назад

      @@Me-cu8wr As far as I'm aware, tornado sirens are identical to air raid sirens, in some cases originally used for air raids and repurposed for tornadoes. The actions you're supposed to take for tornadoes and air raids are more or less the same, albeit with air raids usually having more urgency. I can understand why you reacted that way and how embarrassing it must have been.
      When I lived in Alabama in the late 90's where tornado warnings happened multiple times a year, for some reason my family called them air raid sirens instead of tornado sirens. I've since realized how odd that sounds and now call it a tornado siren.

    It's neat how a person who's familiar with the show can see how uncharacteristically cagey Josh is being here.
    Usually he can anticipate what information a person wants to know and volunteers it to be helpful. He's a curious and open-minded person, and prefers a frank exchange of ideas.
    Here he keeps giving the minimum amount of info, only answering _exactly_ what is asked and no more, forcing the doctor to keep asking more precise questions. He's anticipated what the doctor wants to know but keeps avoiding it.
    The writing in this episode is some of my favorite of the series.
