Thank you for the re-release review very interesting. I was amazed to hear you mention the 'greatest' album statue being visible at MPL - I took a telephoto pic back in May this year, I did not expect too many would notice it way up there 🙂
Enjoying these releases very much, one note Thrillington was released in 2018 as as SHM-CD paper sleeve replica, hopefully London Town box is not long away.
Thanks. It was first issued on CD in 1995 in a very under the radar UK release on Regal Zonophone', which is why I was surprised to see the Capitol label on the new disc.
Yes Paul that's correct, I do have both the original vinyl and the original 1995 cd which are both on red Regal Zonophone and the 2018 Japanese Japanese paper sleeve shm cd which is Capitol.
@bluesvengalis That chimes with what I've read elsewhere. Obviously if the mastering was improved on the SHM release then it would make an audioable difference
That is what he was saying in the video. We are guessing the reason why they skipped London Town, is because there has not been a remastered Archive edition yet. So the Japanese probably didn't want to release that album during this campaign and only have access to the 1993 remasters.

We still play songs from all 5 of these albums…..including Thrillington.

London Town!! The NeXT Archiva colection!!???💕💕😋.
Lovely replicas, but just makes me want to buy the original vinyl albums.
It seems the Japanese have shortened the title further: the text on the obi strip reads "Speed Of Sound."
Is there any decernable difference in sound quality on these particular superior materials SHM cd vs standard red book cd issue ?
Not really

If your a audiophile and have a high end system yes, but don't expect night and day differences on a casual listen it's not like that.
Very nice replicas but my main gripe is the lack of song titles printed on the actual cds. No excuse for that.
No London Town, Back To The Egg, and Broad Street are major fails
london town came out before wings greatist hits will we ever get london town on a cd

@@roywatson8133 oh okay lol.
Still with McCartney . . . still . . . on & on it goes . . . why ? Really why ?
I just cringe whenever I see people manhandling CD covers, booklets and artwork like that.
These are nice, but shame no London Town, it seems illogical. And for the record, I rather enjoy Thrillington.
