- Breaking News: Former NHL enforcer Chris Simon has died at age 52.
Chris Simon, once one of the hockey's most feared enforcers, has died. This is the second NHL death this week as Konstantin Koltsov passed away earlier in the week.

Show this article to New York Rangers Matt Rempe. An over grown twenty one year old who should not be playing at The NHL level. Brought in to fight, and not very well. Nothing that proper trading wouldn't help.
Credit Nilan's family for openly stating that he took his own life, after battling demons for a long time.
Another example that the league, in general, does not care about the players, long term. These players are not role models about abilty; parents should take a lesson from this!

I'm sorry..... Hockey is not to only factor here. This guy had issues the moment he entered the league. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it didn't help.....but to BLAME fighting....strongly disagree. Boxers and MMA fighters take FAR WORSE beatings, round after round, after round, for the entire length of their careers. Plus, you don't need to get hit in the head to get concussions. Seat belts cause them. Roller-coasters cause them. If you fall on your ass hard enough. People from all professions take their lives every day.....but when a hockey or football player does.....the sport is blamed immediately.

ya i'm sorry for his family it might sound selfish but i hope this doesn't ruin hockey again its getting good again and this is not a hockey problem i've suffered my hole life self prescribing alcohol opiods cocaine doesn't work they are just another problem its when nothin g makes you happy anymore your just here with nothing to look forward too ever

If he didnt have jesus as savior by accepting what jesus did on the cross for our sinsand repent, then hea suffering more in hell, not restinf in peace. No one reat in peace .i dont know why people say that. Cause 8f not saved in toment hell if saved not resting more alovw than ever rejoicing in heaven.

There is only 1 way to heaven , Through accepting Jesus Christ as your savior and realizing that he came and died on the cross and shed his blood for your sins so you repent that you are a sinner and that you need Jesus Christ and believe that he died on the cross and live your life for Christ and you are saved. You're right though we do have a loving God that's why he sent his son to die for us so that whoever believes shall we receive eternal life it's a free choice God doesn't want people in heaven that don't want to spend eternity with him
I doubt that he knelt down to any false white man gods, if he was smart he would have followed the path of his ancestors
