Would love to see an Expedition MAX with the POWERBOOST drive train and expanded fuel tank. Imagine a road trip with 700 miles of range on a single tank.
Dang. That really makes me miss my 2005 Eddie Bauer Expedition. It had most of the features, just not the newer tech. With the 5.4 it was a tow monster. This new one looks super sharp. Love it.
As a 3x F150 owner, in 21 minutes this walk around resonates to consider this. Haven’t seen it done this well at any dealer in Los Angeles. He is awesome, sells a truck guy because he is a truck guy.
We just picked up a 2013 expedition EL Limited, low miles, single owner, absolutely cherry. Paid 26k. As much as I’d like a new 85k MAX, I’m gonna run the wheels off ours.
I really like that Expedition. I had a 2000 that I told everybody was the best road trip rig I had every had. Traded it for my '11 F150 Screw with max tow, long box and 4.10 gearing (all of which I had to order) it has FX4 package as well. Great truck and great engine. Would like another Expo setup like this one.
Love the Expedition, Great Tow Vehicle, Great Review, Thank You I wish Ford would would offer FACTORY TOW MIRRORS on the Expedition so I could actually see around my 8-1/2 foot wide trailer.
Ok, first thing first, great review as always. Wishlsts; Fog lights, Sunroof and some carbon fiber, front/back. Questions; Does it come with vibrating seats (F-150)? Does it come with a physical shifter? Does it come in a hybrid series? I'm not a chrome guy, so I like the black on black, maybe even a matte finish. I hope the kids / wife were OK after their lil scare. Peace.
I have had 4 Expeditions since 2001. While I loved the 5.0, when I drove the ecoboost, it blew it away. I have that 2017 limited right now, with the 3.73 rear end. It screams……no mods at all. My HUGE issue with Ford is, just like in 2009,2010….they stopped the RED!! WTF? The Ruby red I have now is beautiful. Get compliments all the time….but I cannot get one built as the red is available on other vehicles, but not the Expedition….so? Its why I am browsing Yukons…in their beautiful red. I know a few people that have over 200k miles on their ecoboosts and never had a problem. Nice looking truck, just needs to be in that ruby red.
Great review. Thumbs up! I really like this vehicle, and I love the customizations you did, the lift, the tires, the blackout, all of it. I'd love to know roughly what this vehicle just as done would cost out the door, before taxes? One thing, you said this vehicle borrowed a lot from the Ford F150. That is great, but I wish that included the F150's front center console fold out flat work surface. That is so useful. I don't need a pick up, but am tempted to get a luxury F150 like the Platinum or Tremor or Raptor specifically for that fold out flat work surface. I would use it all the time. I just could use and maximize the features of an suv more than those of a pickup. Maybe anyone reading this can pass on the recommendation to Ford?!
They should make an expedition RAPTOR.... big V8, heavy duty everything, big wheels and tires, loaded with features.... just a badass looking vehicle. The unfortunate thing I'm sure the sticker on something like this would be about $100k minimum, not affordable to the average car lover
@@paulelliott682 ford is not making any heavy duty EV's and they have said that "no plans". Electric does not suite a heavy duty vehicle of any type. With some Orange accent, Off-road lighting from either Baja Designs LP4, LP6, LP9 ; Diode Dynamics CUBES ; KC HiLiTES Pro series, or Rigid Industries Adapt series and a 2022 Rhino-Rack rack system you'd have a Timberline ed.
I like the Expedition/Tahoe type suv. But the price premium over a well specified F150 xlt is crazy. Perhaps Ford will back the Extended cab F150 with the short bed.
Why did you pick a dark / black vehicle. A lighter color does a better job of high lighting the new and dark accents of a vehicle. Thanks for the video.
I think we are living in the dark ages right now..... in more than one way. I know this is all the trend right now, but with everything in Black the style and lines of the vehicle don't stand out
He is correct, it looks more like the older explorers than an Expedition. I loved my 99 Expedition, but the second it hit 100000 miles, all hell broke loose. :( I wonder what Ford is coming out with to compete with the 2023 cadillac escalade v. GM pulled out a few stops there, and created a street worthy, off road, combo SUV. The price.... $149000 it is guaranteed to pass everything but a gas station. C'mon Town and Country! Show us what you've got!
As an off-roader , the 55” screen in the Limited is a 110% guarantee I would never buy it. THIS screen shown in this video is an acceptable size BUT it could have been perfect if it was flush level (or an 1” below) with trim above it.
Did they change the fans and battery box from the 2021? Apparently that's what causing the fires and explosions. My wife's Expedition is scheduled to be at the dealership for over a month because of "seed parts". I'm worried my wife is starting to like the rental minivan and we my be leaving Ford after 20+ years of owning at least one.
But man what if I get my expedition lifted before my warranty ends this exact lift and tires.. well Ford cover all cost like oil change and everything that is needed when doing the oil change.. tire check overallfor the truck
Sadly, I called you guys last week about lift options for my Timberline and was told there are zero options for the 2022 models. I guess because the Timberline comes factory leveled the ReadyLIFT will not work with it. :(
Why did you guys put the ready lift and increased tires and wheels size on a XLT versus a timberline? Also doesn’t changing the tires and wheels and putting that ready left on their void warranty? Or is that within limits of not changing the eligibility for powertrain warranty issues? Just very curious as to why this aftermarket was not done to an XLT versus a timberline. Also was this a XLT hi special package or was this just a regular XLT?
Any idea with the 2022s if you can still disable the auto start/stop feature by pulling the wire harnesses connector in the bottom left driver’s footwell versus the button on the dash? I know there are going to be haters out there for this, but I don’t like that feature . Been doing that on my ‘18 Expo since day one and works great.
Beautiful vehicle, but I prefer a V8 engine. I am still holding on to my XLT Sport 5.4L Triton...believe it or not, it still runs like new. I will buy a new one when Ford brings back the V8 on an Expedition.

Oh I would be DOWN for that! But with these recent hikes in gas price, they probably won’t bring it back! 😩
